I am so excited and sad for these next 5 chapters. The events that happen in them are so important to the story line, and I can't believe that I have finally gotten here. When we hit the end of this arc, I will take a well deserved break, and I will be back in the summer with some new chapters. See you at the end.
As Jason opened his eyes, the bright artificial lights they had were to forcing him to wake up. He had finally had it.
The past 2 months had been hell. Mothra refused to speak to him, the other earth defenders stopped talking to him since he brought Obsidius back to the base, and he had been reduced to a mess. He didn't want to do this anymore.
He didn't want to get up. He was actually as happy as he could be at this time. That was until he got the loud knocking that would send his day down hill.
"JASON!" Hikaru Sakimori was the one now in charge of Jason, and he didn't like it one bit. "GET UP AND DO WHAT YOU"RE SUPPOSSED TO DO TODAY!"
"LET ME BE!" Jason grabbed his alarm and threw it at the door. As it shattered, Jason just took a deep breath in. He was about to loose it, until he heard Capitan Douglass knock at his door.
"Jason, I understand that you're upset, but calm down." Douglass was more a talker then a fighter, unless you push him to it. "Now, don't you want to have a some-what enjoyable late-birthday?"
Jason had forgotten that yesterday was his birthday.
"Now get ready for today." Jason was now baffled. "Since you did your work yesterday, you may actually go and visit your old friends in el Paso."
As Jason thought about it, it was still his birthday in el Paso.
That made Jason actually get up and get ready for the day. He had to move fast if he wanted to get to el Paso before he was denied.
"Capitan," Jason was breathless. "I'm ready." Jason was actually dressed in the standard outfit, a pair of green pants with a red line on the seam and a Green jacket with a big red "M" on the back.
"Hey look, he's in uniform today." The Sakimori children and their Grand father were the ones to great Jason and give him the keys to the new jet that Yoichiro Sakimori had created.
"Be careful," Zone Great had to tell Jason about some side effects. "It will get you any where in a short time, but the controls are very touchy, just be careful."
"And here is your clearance to land in fort bliss." Capitan Douglass handed the paper to Jason and sent him on his way.
In el Paso...
As Jason looked down he was able to see the mountains that populated the el Paso skyline. He was finally home.
On the highway...
Jason was real happy to be back in his home town, and his technically on his birthday.
"Jason, we're almost at your old high school." The C.O. was in debt to Capitan Douglass for saving his life, and this was the way he could repay him.
"Thank you." All Jason could think of was seeing his old friends. Would they be happy to see him? Would they be mad? He would find out soon enough.
As they got to the high school, Jason got out as he heard them all coming inside from there marching band practice. It wasn't long before they recognized him.
"Oh...my" The whole band was in shock.
"Umm... Hey everyone." Jason was nervous. "It...um...really has...been..." He never got finish, he was being hugged to much.
With all the clamor of his friends hugging him and catching up, it would seam that nothing could break their happiness.
Until the Mountains exploded.
As the debris was going every where, the only thing Jason could think was who did this, but part of him knew the answer, and he didn't like it one bit.
I'm so sorry about the cliff hanger. If I didn't post this chapter now, what would my early Christmas present to you all be. You'll get the next chapter next year. Until then, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and HAPPY NEW YEAR. See you next year and my trademark sign off, Good-Bye.
