Chapter Five: Training and Truth's

Time until the Trickster Escapes: 2 Days 12 Hours

It had been a day since Sandy and Pitch had unravelled where Jack really was, but they weren't taking about it, they had decided to keep it quiet for moral, if they knew what state Jack was in, then all hell would break loose, literally.

Anny and Manny had been training with the Seasonal Spirits, keeping them busy. North, Bunny and Tooth had all been fighting one another, while Father Time, Natura and Galatica had been training everyone else. Only Pitch and Sandy hadn't trained, each had been taking turns to check on Jack periodically, but as everyone else had been busy, it wasn't noticed.

So, what did Jack teach you then, that made you so protective of him? Sandy asked out of the blue to Pitch who looked over, distaste in his glare,

"That Fear and Bravery go hand in hand, if I wanted to be believed in and loved by the children of the world, I would need to be the spirit of Bravery rather that of fear, it is a novel concept I grant you that" Pitch replied,

How are Fear and Bravery similar? Sandy asked,

Pitch chuckled before answering, "I asked the same question." He shifted slightly then continued, "He said that I could grant Nightmare to children, but to be brave you have to show how to fight the fear, make them unafraid again…. I tried it a few times, I believe there's a small Girl in Romania who can see me without cowering in fear"

It's a good idea, and if you followed through, you might even become a Guardian! Sandy smiled,

"Why would I, the Nightmare King…. Want to become a Guardian?" Pitch asked,

Why did the King of Winter? Sandy replied, and for the same reason he came to talk to you that night, For the children.

"Children have no power over me!" Pitch scowled, "Now if you'll excuse me, I have something that needs to be done!"

You can't run from it forever Pitch, you and I both know its what you want! Sandy wrote as he walked off,

Pitch had no answer for this.

(Meanwhile in Burgess)

Jamie Bennett was still pondering over the message in the book,

Remember… J… Ost….

Who or what was J ost?

He had memories of a childhood spent with Imaginary friends…. Maybe it was one of those…. He frowned and continued to pace around his room, he'd asked Sophie and she said she couldn't think of anyone it could be.

Maybe a childhood friend that moved away, but Jamie had forgotten, he picked up another old Book, on English Folk lore, one page was folded down at the corner, he opened to that page and read on,

Jack Frost.

Jack Frost is a Mythical figure said to spread Ice and Snow around the countryside, he is also attributed to create the cold, thus earing the Phrase, 'Jack Frost, Nipping at your nose'.

He was first….

At this point Jamie heard a loud noise from outside, he rushed over to the window to see a car accident out there and an elderly man standing nearby, he looked injured, and Jamie rushed downstairs, leaving the book abandoned.

He walked outside and over to the man,

"Are you alright sir?" He asked,

"Hmm?" The old man looked up at him, "I'm fine, honestly…. Just a little shocked is all"

"I havn't seen you around here before" Jamie commented,

"I wouldn't imagine you would've, I've been gone for oh so long, but I'm back now, and if you'll excuse me, I must dash" He smiled, and with that he turned and rushed off with surprising speed, Jamie shook his head and turned around again, walking back inside the house and returning to his room.

He looked down upon the floor where the book had lain, but it was no-where to be seen, as he looked around, he noticed that nothing else had been touched, only his book was missing.

Jamie frowned as he sat down, why with all the (Expensive) stuff in his house, like his mothers Jewellery, his TV, His sisters Music player, would they take an old book filled with Scribbles from his childhood?

Outside, the old man smiled as he looked at the book he had just been handed,

"You won't come back that easily Frost, I won't allow my Masters plans to be foiled once more!" He sneered turning his back on Burgess, unaware he was being watched, The Nightmare king looked down unimpressed before an idea came to mind, and his deepest, darkest smile started to play on his face,

If this book was so dangerous, why didn't he… the most dangerous Free spirit in the world, take possession of it?

But he knew he'd need help, Sandy would help him, especially if that Bennett boy was involved.

Pitch looked back at the Bennett house, knowing soon something would happen, but what?

And done!

Sworry it was so short…

But lots of important things happen here….

Oh and if you can review, Frosty promises to update soon again!

Bye for now!
