I know that I have taken forever but I do have reasons

Now since i only have 3 minutes to post this chapter for where I am, lets go to the story

Annabeth POV

"Pretty please with nectar on top"

"Come on, be nice!" was Athena response as Shadow gave her the puppy dog eyes, he had just enough quivering lip, to make Athena cringe, his eyes had just enough tear to make them shine in the light, making Athena look weak, and to top it all off he was hugging her, his tiny arms just barely able to wrap around her legs. All together it was like he was an expert at making a goddesses give him what he wants. Never in my life had I seen someone find a way to make my mom do what they please, but then again my mother never raised her own children,

I still couldn't help but chuckle at his antics, but it truly wasn't his fault. My mother had dug herself a hole the minute she said that she would take him anywhere since he was in pain, and with his affinity of fish, he wanted to go to Atlantis just like well….

That caused the laughing to stop but the two didn't notice.

My heart felt like someone had gotten a hold of it and was squeezing it, must be a titan because the pain was so intense, yet it wasn't physical, making it feel more like ghost pain. A pain that you swear is there but you can't exactly feel it. All that can be summed up is that I miss Percy, and it will never stop, I wish I could avenge him but how do I take on the gods that kill him when I don't want to hurt the ones that tried to save him. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have to get a plan.

I was shaken from my rather morbid thoughts by Athena tried to reason with Shadow "Really Child, that's the palace of my enemy, oh come on, Annabeth you know this child better, reason with him"

I whistled as I took a book from a shelf and began to reading it while responding "This is why you don't raise your kids, wisdom and knowledge doesn't matter to them so you don't know how to reason with them, to add to this I haven't seen Poseidon in a while, might be nice to catch up"

I swear I heard my mother mutter "that is one of the reasons"

Shadow released my mother so that he could point at me "see now we should really go, cause Anna wants to go too" he started to jump up and down as what had to be his ADHD going into overdrive "Now let's go" though I was able to distract him with using my dagger to shine a light on the wall that didn't seem to give my mother enough space.

Athena sighed, looked at me then the distracted boy then back at me, before grabbing both our shoulders with a loud sigh that could show her restrained irritation. "Get ready you two; I swear you'll both be the death of me"

I shrugged as I closed my eyes.

The feeling of flashing was like getting put through a very tight tunnel; it stretched you out but also squeezed you in, almost like the god was trying to make you into a noodle. I managed to hold my breath as the feeling stopped and water touched my skin. We appeared in Poseidon throne room; luckily he was there so he snapped his fingers making bubbles appear around our heads.

Shadow floated around with a smile on his face that could make anyone else that wasn't me and my mom, squeal at how cute he was being. My mother had a small frown on her face, not happy with where she was, but once again, she dug this hole herself.

Poseidon asked as he seemed to be doing done form of paper work on seaweed "Hello Annabeth, now lady Athena what's with the interruption?" I could tell by comparing other times that Poseidon talked with my mother that he seemed to have lost that hatred for her since she backed up Percy and didn't believe the rumors. I know that she didn't hate Poseidon anymore but still didn't like to hang around him. Clashing personality could be the cause but with gods you never know for certain.

Shadow spun in the water as he greeted "hi Mr. Sea" he waved at Poseidon making a smile spread on the gods face. It seems that shadow could make anyone smile, my mother, Poseidon, he even managed to make me smile.

Athena informed "well, my daughter has become the official nanny of Shadow here, and I decide to help out, and he wanted to go to Atlantis, so here we are" it seems she purposefully let out that he had to convince her to go, and succeeded in it.

Poseidon moved the water so Shadow floated high to the ceiling making him squeal in delight, he started to do cart wheels while yelling "This is awesome, almost as fun as watching mom beat up Auntie" ohh how cute, wait beat up who!

Athena beat me to asking the question "Beat up who, Shadow?" he stopped cart wheeling so to look over at my mother, he responded like it was the most normal thing in the world "Persephone was chasing Uncle Hades around, so Uncle Hades hid in our kitchen, he locked the door so Persephone beat it down causing it to explode like WHOOSH, and shrapnel went everywhere, one hit me in the forehead causing me to bleed, and Mommy went all RAWR, and starting nailing Persephone to ground like BAM AND BAM" half way through he began to act it out like he was acting out Godzilla.

We all looked at each other, it was clear that shadow wasn't lying because of the fact he was able to stare my mom straight into the eye while recalling the story. Nyx beating up Persephone, Hades running away, this just can't be, none of this even matches up.

Shadow giggled at our faces then explained "Hades is a coward"

Poseidon spluttered in shock "You have the guts, a, maybe, 6 year old has the guts to call the king of the underworld a coward, kid do you have a death wish".

Shadow responded as he began to float down from the ceiling, he began to doggie paddle over to Poseidon as he explained "Yeah, he always hides from Persephone, he always yelling that she being a tad abusive since she became pregnant, what's abusive mean though?"

I answered "that she's hurting him but I don't think it's too the point of abuse especially considering that he is the god of the underworld, he's most like exaggerating but still"

Poseidon chuckled "Kid you sound fun but I don't believe you"

It was clear that Shadow was really offended by this, his cheeks puffed up and he nailed his fist to his sides "Your calling me a liar, I can prove it, just flash me to Auntie's temple but first a bet, I bet you a 100 dollars' worth of taffy if you guys see Persephone beat up Hades" he must be very confident.

Poseidon got up from his throne a real smile on his face "Your on kid, and I like salt water taffy" before I could even be warned that we were flashing again, I felt like I was be turned into a noodle, again. The feeling didn't last as long because now two gods were flashing. We all appeared outside Persephone temple.

Shadow informed as he jumped into a sneaking position "go to the window to the left, trust me" with that he went into the temple door ever so silently, barely opening the door, and then shutting it so it didn't make even the slightest creak.

"Might as well" with that my mother lead us over to the window that Shadow was talking about. We all peeked in, to see shadow hiding behind the couch. Hades walked into the room, looking at something. Just as Hades was about to pass the couch, Shadow ran out and tripped right over Hades feet landing face first very hard.

Poseidon flinched "the kids determined to prove himself right" me and my mother nodded in sync but kept our eyes glued on the scene in front of us.

Shadow cried out in actually pain but still managed a very convincing lie "Auntie, Uncle tripped me!" the minute the words left his mouth, Hades was panicking trying to comfort Shadow but he continued to cry out.

We all could feel the air just grow cold, I swore I should be see my breath right now. It seemed the shadows in the room began to run away as Persephone stalked looking so mad that she must have taught medusa how to turn people to stone. It did make Hades stop in horror.

Shadow looked over at us, even past tear he managed to give an evil smirk, and wink at us before continuing his act of being the poor child.

Hades started "Honey, I didn't mean to, he ran out, I didn't even see him, oh shit I'm screwed" that just made the temperature drop even more. Hades is going to die, I am going to see a god die, AGAIN!

"NOW YOUR USING FOUL LANGUAGE, WHATS WRONG WITH YOU!" she tried to grab his collar but he jumped back, barely managing to fly over shadow, who put the cherry on top of the act as began yelling "what's shit, that's a funny word, Shit shit shit"

The minute Hades feet touched the ground, he began running for the exit. Yet he wouldn't reach it. The ground burst as deep green vines swung out and wrapped around Hades legs making him scream "NO!" the vines dragged him back and into the hair so he was hanging upside down.

All during this, Shadow crawled over to the window, opened it, and slipped right out without be noticed by the angry goddess, He giggled despite the pain that he must actually be feeling "Told you I was right, Hades is a bit of a coward when it comes to Persephone" with that he walked over to the door.

I followed him causing Athena and Poseidon to follow as well, when we gathered at the door, shadow grabbed the handles and pushed them in with all his strength. The doors opened just to their pivot point so they stayed open, Persephone stopped letting Hades fall to the floor.

She blushed a red but I could see through the mist to see that it was actually gold, so she looked like the sun was setting on her face, she stuttered as the gold on her face started to stretch down her neck "Shadow, what's this about?" it seems that she didn't like being caught being a tad aggressive.

Shadow walked forward to Persephone "They said I was a liar when I told them about you beating up uncle a while ago, I don't like being called a liar, so I went to find proof" he ended it with a smile.

Hades got up "You sneaky monster, so You ran in front of me on purpose" the souls on Hades cloak began to get aggravated and Hades began to slowly look more and more pissed, oh no, I should have stopped shadow from doing this, I'm a horrible nanny. Now he knows curse words, I am going to get fired for this.

Shadow didn't even seem effected by Hades anger, he smirked evilly back at Hades "what does shit mean?"

All the anger drained from Hades, and funneled into horror as Persephone looked over "Though Shadow didn't make you curse, did he? Well just note Hades that I hope you like the couch" with that she turned and stalked away. Before Hades could exact any revenge, I picked up Shadow and ran.

Looking behind me, I saw Hades glare at Athena and Poseidon making them bolt, not wanting to have the God of the underworld attack them. My mother the Goddess of wisdom, and it is not wise to get on the Underworld god's bad side.

Shadow giggled as he played with his toys in Nyx's living room. It had all calmed down, the wound on shadows arm from Artemis arrows is almost gone from giving him nectar, and we found that he didn't give himself a concussion from making Hades look like he had tripped him. It turned out completely ok.

Athena and Poseidon had left to continue whatever, leaving me with Shadow.

Shadow suddenly asked "why are you sad, Anna?" I stiffened at being caught, the only other person to confront me about my sadness had been my mother, and others had been avoiding the subject like it was the plague. Even Thalia was trying to avoid the subject in the very few conversation that we had since his death.

Before I could answer, someone knocked on the door of the temple. Looking at Shadow, he just shrugged his shoulders, not knowing who would come to Nyx temple. Going to the door, I creaked it open seeing Hades standing there.

Hades looked rather unhappy making me feel small and he was about to clearly yell at me for not stopping Shadow but a cold presence behind me made him stop dead.

Now slowly turning, I saw Nyx standing there with an evil smile on her face directed at Hades. Looking back at where Hades was, I discovered he disappeared.

Nyx cooed "Saw how much fun you let Shadow have, I'm impressed, though you had to let shadow torture the poor little Hades"

Shadow "Took you forever"

"I had my reasons, but now the reason is gone and I shall update every Friday"

Shadow "You set a date"

Yes

Athena "Finally, you have a good idea"
