Chapter 16: Will Of The People.

(10 Years Into the War)

Jamie frowned as he and Natura crept closer to the ever growing weapon infront of them, The four Sheppard's were channelling their energies into it, while all the seasonal spirits stood watching, in awe of what the Sheppard's were doing.

Jamie looked over at the other strike teams, Manny, Pitch and Sandy were to his left, Galactica, Father Time and Aquaticus to his right. Jamie smiled as he saw a group behind him, North, April, Tooth, Cupid, Sophie and Joyce were all in the rear Guard, both the Mortal's now seasoned warriors who could easily hold off many spirits, and (on a rare occasion) Jamie.

Jamie signalled for the strike teams to attack, but as they got close, they felt something at their feet, looking down, they saw a thick layer of ice covering their feet, meaning they couldn't move.

"Do you really think that we are stupid enough to let you attack us, April…" Wynter smiled, turning around from his focus on the weapon, "It is time to come home, My Daughter"

"Daughter?" Manny asked,

"You are a fool Manny, to think I came on this mission to help you, I came so I could tell my father what your plan was, so he could set this little trap!" April Showers smiled, "Oh sure, I played my part well…. Even befriending Jack Frost to help find his weakness', and a way to free the Trickster to rid the world of the Rulers!"

"You Bitch!" Jamie called, attempting to free himself,

"But then the then Mortal Fabler interfered and The Rulers were reinstated, and my Father had to act, he and his siblings attacked and killed them, such glory it must have been" April chuckled, "Now I ask to be able to do the same with the Fabler!" April rushed forward and held a blade to his neck.

"Stop!" A Voice called, Every head turned to face a Winter Spirit standing in the crowd, "You killed the True king of Winter, now it is time for you to pay! The Winter council has decreed that you are no longer our King!"

"Spring follows the Move of Winter!" A Spring Spirit called,

"Summer Agrees, we follow the Move of Spring!" A Summer Sprit called,

"Autumn shall join this, We join the move!" an Autumn spirit called,

"It seems you have lost the Will of the People" Natura smiled, Jamie a little confused, April still held a blade to his neck and Natura was smiling, "People of the Seasons, you know what to do!"

With that the Spirits all nodded withdrawing for staffs and throwing them into the air,

"By the Will of the Seasons, we summon, THE TRUE SEASONAL RULERS!" Natura called and in an instant the wind kicked up,

"NO!" The four Sheppard's called, pointing at their mountain, "It will be too late, in under a minute, this new Supercano will erupt and wipe all life from this measly word, and it shall take all of you with it!"

A Blast of wind sent them flying backwards, they looked up to see four massive tornado's above them, Natura chuckling, while every other Spirit stood watching, as the Tornado's started to fade to reveal four figures, who landed on the ground, eyes closed.

"Impossible!" Wynter called, with that the Rulers opened their eyes,

"Sheppard's of The Seasons and April Showers, you are all traitors in the eyes of the Throne, and for those Crimes, we shall now commit the sentence!" The Rulers said together, each drawing a blade from thin air, each blade appeared to be different,

Jack's was long thin and a curved, it had a large diamond built into the hilt. Reece's seemed to be two-handed, large but shorter than Jack's, it had a large Ruby built into the Hilt. Rose's was long but almost ordinary, but many golden patterns were woven into it, It had a large orange Sphalerite built into the hilt. Dawn's was curved but unlike Jack's wasn't thin, It was thicker than a normal blade and had a large Emerald in the hilt.

"What are those?" Manny asked,

"The most Ancient Weapon's on the planet, the Nature swords, only The True rulers who have travelled the world and yet not been seen could have taken possession of them" Natura smiled,

"Very well, if you wish to catch us, meet us in the Volcano, there the final battle between Sheppard and Ruler shall take place, Eight shall enter, Four shall Leave" Wynter smiled, The four Rulers nodded and the Sheppard's rushed off, The Spirits all stood around watching as the four Rulers stood there, scowling at the Sheppard's, April frowned and backed off,

"You aren't getting past me, let alone to fight my Father"

"Jack…" Jamie Muttered, before watching the Winter King look at him for the first time,

"Spirit Lord" Jack nodded, using Jamie's official title, Jamie almost looked surprised at this,

"Winter Prince" Jamie nodded,

"Winter King" Jack smirked,

"Excuse me?" Manny asked, "You may only take that title when you have earned it"

"I gifted it to him, he has taken the Mantle of the Frost King" Natura chuckled, "But you four must be going, we can handle April"

April laughed, drawing out here forked staff and started to make ready for facing Natura and the Balance, Jamie smirked, flicking his blade around…

(The Volcano)

The Four Sheppard's stood near a Pool of Magma, waiting for the four Rulers to arrive, as they did, Wynter scowled,

"For a minute there, I thought I was the Only Winter Spirit who could handle the temperature" Wynter scowled,

"Only you could think that Wynter, I mean who else who name the new season after themselves?" Jack asked,

Wynter scowled as he drew out the Sword of Winter, the three other Sheppard's followed suit and the eight of them, ran at one another,

Jack ducked an attack aimed at his chest, bringing his blade round to defend himself, Jack continued to duck and dodge the attacks, only using the blade when he had to. Jack smiled as he saw Wynter weakening, Jack went on the offensive, using rare and uncommon tactics, Jack managed to knock Wynter off Balance, over the cliff to a pool of Magma, Jack Grabbed Wynter's robe and held him, dangling him above the Pool below,

"Guess what Wynter" Jack smiled,

"What?" Wynter asked, deciding to play ball as he was so close to dying,

"You never killed me, Asras created the false illusions, or did you think that we'd put ancient runes on the thrones?" Jack asked,

"Liar!" Wynter scowled,

Jack scowled, "Goodbye Wynter"

With that Jack let go and turned around, walking away, hearing Wynter scream as he fell to his death, Jack smirked as Reece collapsed a wall onto his opponent, Rose decapitated her rival and Dawn cut off all the limbs of the final Sheppard.

"We won" Reece smirked,

"But we still have this Volcano to deal with…." Jack frowned looking down at the rising pool of Magma….
