Chapter Seventeen: The Crowning.
The Rulers looked around, the Volcano was about to erupt and they had no idea how to stop it,
"Maybe we could freeze it!" Dawn smiled,
"We'd need every Winter Sprits to be fully focused on a single inch of it to freeze something that hot!" Jack frowned,
"Maybe I can try and limit the heat, if I did that, could you freeze it Jack?" Reece asked,
"It's a possibility, if the temperature is lowered by 500 degree's then, maybe I could have it chilled enough…." Jack nodded,
"We'll go help Natura with April" Dawn smiled, "I doubt that she'll need it, but it should be good for a laugh!"
"I'll join you, maybe try and summon something to crumble into the Magma, maybe help with the cooling effort!" Rose nodded, rushing off.
(Outside)
Natura hit the ground and growled, jumping up she looked over at April, April held her hammer in her hand, pointing it at them, sending bolts of lightning at the attacking spirits.
Natura looked around, Galactica was already down, Father Time was holding his arm, Lightning Burns across his arm, Manny was shielding Jamie who was injured, all of the others seemed to be holding back, the ability to hold off and defeat the five most powerful spirits in the world seemed to be making them careful.
"Give it up you old fools, I have more power in my left arm that in the whole of your body!" April called, raising her hammer again, lightning struck it,
"Oh not again!" Natura complained as the lighting struck her, sending her crashing into Manny, defeating both the elder spirits,
"You see, young Fabler, what happens when you mess with those bigger than you!" April smirked, "and now you will die, learning that les…."
Before she could finish, she was blasted off her feet by the wind, Jamie looked over to see Rose and Dawn land down, each holding their sword's,
"We leave for ten minutes, and their already flat on their backs?" Rose asked,
Jamie smiled at the two Rulers presence,
"You both will regret attacking me!" April sent a lighting bolt at them, they both smiled as a second Bolt struck the first and they cancelled each other out,
"How?" Holly asked,
"We're the Rulers of Nature, we can do next to anything!" Rose smirked, rising into the air, lighting crashing around them, as they heard a massive explosion, every head turned to the Volcano, which had just started to erupt…..
"JACK!" Jamie called, calling on all the power he could, he flew forward and tried to find the end of the Volcano in the smoke, Jamie frowned and watched as two Sprits flew out, Both covered in burn marks, they all landed down nearby to where April was being swiftly defeated by Rose and Dawn, Jack and Reece added in their lighting and April stood there, looking at the four of them,
"You four think your so mighty and tall… but soon you will discover that you are tiny, and are about to be crushed!" April smiled, "We started the revolution, but it's the choice of the Ruler who will make the world rebel, especially his love interests and future Co-Rulers!"
With that the four rulers, shot bolts of lighting at April, who dissolved into a pile of ash.
"It is done" Jamie smiled,
"Yes, now…. We have a party to ready for" Natura smiled,
(A Day Later)
Jamie tightened up his collar again for the hundredth time that hour, He and the rest of the Balance had been invited to the Tree of Life, to witness the crowning of Reece, Holly, Rose and Jack. Jamie smiled as he imagined his old friend sitting upon the Winter Throne.
Jamie himself was wearing brilliant white Silk robes, adorned with fine gold threads and a small crown atop his head, Jamie thought he looked quiet the part, Galactica was wearing a dress that had small diamonds woven into the fabrics. Manny was wearing a cream suit and black tie, the suit seemed to be normal, but when he moved it seemed to reflect the light. Father Time was wearing what appeared to be an Ancient brown suit, Jamie wrinkled his nose at it, it seemed to be older than Time, and he thought that the Spirit of Time, would have a better suit.
Jamie looked over at Manny, "What are Natura's Parties Like?"
"You have never been to a party, until you have experienced a Nature Party, and crowning are the biggest and loudest of them all, every spirit who is anyone, will be there"
"Even Grim?" Jamie asked, Slightly at panic that the spirit of Death would be there.
Manny chuckled, "Even he would not miss this for all the souls in the world!"
With that Galactica opened a portal and they walked through, Jamie was in awe of what he saw on the other side,
The Massive white three was changing colour, first to Red, then Orange, Blue and finally Green. Its leaves were rainbows of colour, hundreds, if not thousands of spirits were around the four Palace's each glowed with one of the four colours. Jamie and the Three elders walked down towards the party, most spirits waving to them or smiling in their direction. As they approached the middle of the Party, they found the Guardian's, they hadn't changed their outfit for the party and seemed to be entertaining many spirits with stories.
They also noticed a large table, where a thousand plates were set out and the most delicious food placed upon them, large cakes and other more exotic food that, Jamie really didn't want to find out what it was.
Jamie walked along the table till he came across a spirit, he looked very mysterious, he had his hood up and wore a long black silk robe,
"There is cake" The spirit said in a deep voice, "I like Cake"
Jamie blinked, this he had not expected, "it does look good" Jamie nodded,
"Try some" The Spirit handed him a small plate of cake and the two stood eating,
"There you are Jamie!" Galactica called, "Grim, you made it!"
"Galactica, it is plesent to see you again!" Grim smiled, "Natura got cake!"
"Indeed" Galactica smiled, "Now if you don't mind, I need to borrow Jamie for a while"
"As long as you promise to return him, there is cake to eat you know!" Grim smirked, returning to the cake,
"That is the spirit of Death?" Jamie asked when they were out of earshot,
"Ah Grim's not so bad, as you saw, especially if you bring Cake or cookies" Galactica smiled, "Though, you'll find Cookie will persuade even the most difficult spirit into agreeing with you"
"Really?" Jamie asked,
"Sure, how do you think we got Manny to fast track Pitch's Guardianship?" Natura asked, appearing from the crowd, he wore a long floral dress and a crown that seemed to twist and turn at every point,
"Natura, I thought you'd be with your Spirits, they must be Nervous…." Manny smiled,
"Ha!" Natura laughed, "They faced down The Sheppard's without faulting, and then took down April Showers, overwhelming her. I doubt their scared of this"
They continued talking for a minute before Natura warned them it was about to start, in a second a chair appeared for every spirit. Jamie, The Guardian's and The Elder spirits all walked to the front row, sitting down they looked towards the thrones, each seemed to be imbued with the raw power of their season.
Jamie heard horns start to Roar and he turned to a pair of golden gates, four figures standing there, each wearing their commoner outfits, Jamie smirked as he saw them walk forward, his jaw hit the floor when tiny golden lights surrounded the four separately, but they continued to walk, the golden light still encircling them.
Until they reached the front row, when the lights flew upwards, towards the thrones, each forming up to make a body, Natura. She smiled as the Group walked up, spirits gasping, no longer were they wearing the commoners outfits, now they were dressed in finest silks, with precious Metal and stone inlays, the Seasonal rings upon each of their fingers.
The four Rulers turned to face the crowd,
"Spirits, May I present to you, King Reece, Master of the Sun, Lord of the South Wind, and Commander of the Summer Armies! Queen Rose, Mistress of Change, Lady of the East Wind and Commander of the Autumn Armies!" Natura called, "Queen Dawn, Mistress of Rebirth, Lady of the West Wind and Commander of the Spring Armies! King Jack, Master of the Cold, Guardian of Joy, Lord of the North Wind, and Commander of the Winter Armies!"
The four of them all nodded as they took their throne, in an instant four golden beams shot into the air,
"Do you, the four chosen Rulers, accept this title, and all its duties?" Natura asked, "To give up all else, and focus on the season if needed?"
"I Do!" The Four rulers nodded, as Manny appeared next to Natura, Jamie looked at the empty seat and blinked, still amazed how Manny could surprise him even now.
Manny created four crowns out of the beams of light, and placed them on the heads of all four rulers,
"By the Power given to me, and on behalf of the Elder council, I give you our blessings, May your Reigns be long and Prosperous!" Manny smiled, walking backwards, towards where Jamie sat.
(30 Minutes Later)
Jamie looked around, all the chairs were missing, the thrones still in place, the four rulers seemed to be discussing something, Jack alone seemed not to be listening, he was staring into the crowd,
"Ladies and Gentlemen, as Per tradition, Queen Natura, Mistress of Nature will now be perfroming for you!" A Voice called and everyone fell silent, turning to see Natura,
"It has been a While…. I do hope you enjoy" Natura smiled as Music began to echo around them
Time to close your eyes

Jamie smiled as he listened, never had he expected Natura to be able to sing, or at least not this well, she sounded almost angelic,

Memories came flooding back as he listened, the Music seemed so calming.

Jamie clapped loudly as Natura finished, smiling to all the spirits, "Maybe another couple later!"
With that the Party resumed, Jamie looked around, Grim was still prodding the cakes, Manny was holding back a Spirit who seemed to have been fighting, North holding Bunny back, who had a small gash on his forehead.
Jamie walked among the crowd, no-one seemed to be paying him any mind, but he liked it that way, he'd had enough of people treating him specially, he mentally made a note to come to the Tree when he'd had enough, The Nature spirits being the only ones that did not see him as their leader, Having the Rulers and Natura.
Jamie walked slowly around the music changed to something he recognised as a romantic slow waltz,

Jamie turned to see Jack walking through the crowd, he smiled, and started towards him,

The Two Kings met up in the centre of the hall, Jamie rested his head on Jack's chest, the two started to move, dancing as a duo,

Watching from the side-lines, Natura, Cupid, Tooth and Manny all smiled as they watched the two dance,

Jamie pulled away and mouthed something to Jack before turning and walking away,

The Spirits all stood watching the happy dancers, knowing that two were left broken hearted,
And done!
Dam this was long…. Longer than anything I've written in a long time,
