Hey guys! Sorry for not updating! Hope you all enjoy the chapter, and don't worry Clove is about to make a new friend!
Clove's P.O.V: My dad and I had a pretty good weekend. We got my Jeep! Oh my gosh I'm so excited about the Jeep. It's green and doesn't have a roof. It's awesome! As I drive into the parking lot of the school, my car gets a lot of looks. All the kids at my school live in Beverly Hills and drive convertible. Some people say I'm the poorest kid in school, but I don't mind.
I get out if my car and I see Marvel and Peeta with their girlfriends, and I look down as I pass them. As I pass I hear Katniss and Glimmer making comments about my clothes. I didn't think what I was wearing was that bad... I'm wearing a black flowy skirt with blue polka dot tights, a grey baggy shirt, and combat boots. I kept on walking, not wanting to show them the satisfaction if them seeing me upset.
My regular classes went by in a blur, and before I knew it, it was lunch time. I had been dreading lunch all day, it will be my first day sitting alone. I sit down at the first empty table I see, once I sit down pull out my headphones and plug them in my phone. I also grab out the book I'm reading, Enders Game by Orson Scott Card, It's pretty good, it's kind of weird though. I mean it's about a 6 year old going through battle school. I look up when I hear laughing, it's a blonde girl and a red head.
As I look up they notice me and sit down right by me. The red head smiles at me, and I try to smile back a little.
"Hi, I'm Jackie!(a/n: Jackie is foxface) And this here is Madge." The blonde waves slightly. "and you are?" Jackie asks me.
I look down slightly, "Um. I'm Clove" I say quietly and smile vaguely at them.
"clove, such a pretty name." Madge says with a smile. "So how come we've never seen you around before?" She asks me.
"Oh, I uh, I usually hang out with Peeta Marvel and Katniss. Well I used to at least..." I say quietly.
"Your that girl that Cato knocked down in the hall aren't you!" Jackie exclaimed.
"Yeah, uh, how'd you know?" I ask.
"Oh he told us he knocked a little brunette down in the hall." Madge says while giggling. They aren't shy are they? I ask myself. I mean they sit down and just start talking to me like they've know me for years. I like them.
I giggled a little bit too. That's when I feel someone sit down next to me and I look down. "Oh, Clove, This is Annie. Annie this is Clove." Madge says and smiles at us.
"Hi!" Annie says with a bright smile. Wow all 3 of these girls are just gorgeous, I bet they all have boy friends. "Annie, did you see the boys?" Jackie asks her. So I was right about the boys.
"Hey Clove, is it okay that out boyfriends come sit with us? I mean we did kind of take over your table." She says with a smile. And I start laughing.
"Of course it's fine, I usually eat with people that ignore me so the more the merrier." I say and smile at them.
"Hey, Your the girl that Cato knocked down in the hall!" Annie say with a smile.
"Does everyone know about that?" I say and groan
"Know about what?" I hear a deep voice from behind me ask.
"Oh that Cato knocked down Clove here in the hall on Friday." Annie says, I look up and see a bronze haired boy, Finnick O'Dair.
"Oh yeah sorry for getting into a fight with your friends when that happened." He says with an apologetic smile.
"They're not my friends anymore so your good." I say with a smile.
"Clove, this is Finnick my boyfriend." Annie says with a bright smile.
"Hi." I say with a small smile.
"Nice to finally talk to you." He says while chuckling.
"What do you me-" I start to say but am cut off before I can finish.
"Finnick, what the heck, dude! Why are you talking to her? I told you not to say anything to her!" I hear a booming voice from behind. I turn around and I can feel my face instantly heat up.
"C-Cato?" I say quietly.
"Hey babydoll." He says with a smirk. I look down at my hands. I turn back to the table to see al of there shocked expressions.
"You know each other?" Madge asks as a boy sits next to her.
"Oh they know each other all right." The boy sitting next to Madge says while putting his arm around her, probably her boyfriend. Oh wait I recognize him, that's Katniss' cousin Gale he's pretty nice.
I feel my face turn a deeper shade of red and I look down again.
"I'm her private teacher in music. We know each other really well." he says with another smirk. Why is he being this way? He's being a complete jerk, I look up at my new friends and they all look at me expectantly.
"Well, uh. he is my private teacher... But uh we don't know each other that well... We really only spent one day together. and then I gave him a piano lesson, and uh that's it." I say quietly.
"Well that's not all. She rejected him after." Finnick says with a laugh. "It's all the guy talked about all weekend." Finnick and Gale both started laughing hard as Cato glares at them.
