Kenway strode about the castle of Burgos as if he owned the place, and no one asked any questions as he made his way down to the lower levels. Passing by a hallway leading to a doorway guarded by two soldiers with muskets, Kenway hid in another passage to consult his map of the castle.
Apparently, that doorway was apparently a shortcut across the castle, and reaching into his pockets, Kenway brought out some harmless firecrackers. Lighting them and lightly throwing them across the doorway, they began to crackle and attract the two guards' attention.
One of the guards turned around the corner to investigate, and before he even knew his attacker was there, Kenway had thrown a knife into his back. Hurrying to the corner just outside of the doorway, Kenway whistled.
"¿Eh? ¿Qué fue eso?" The guard asked aloud as he readied his musket, and moving to investigate the whistle, he was suddenly intercepted by Kenway, who stabbed him with a hidden blade and set him to lean against the wall.
Retrieving his throwing knife, Kenway searched the guards for a couple of coins and found the key to the doorway. While the wood was thin enough to bust through easily, stealth was a top priority for this contract, and Kenway slipped past to ascend to the top of the castle.
"Alright… now where is Dubreton hiding?" Kenway asked himself as he checked his contact's map. Apparently, he was in one of the larger rooms of the castle, and he began moving to that area.
On his way there, he encountered a group of four Spanish guards, who were busy talking to each other. "Hola, mis amigos. Tengo un mensaje para Señor Dubreton. ¿Dónde está?"
"Eh… Creo que está en su dormitorio, segundo pasillo a la derecha." The guard said, pointing to the second hallway on the right, and Kenway nodded his thanks as he left.
There was only one doorway in the hallway, and Kenway knocked on the door. There was a brief pause, and then a muffled voice could be heard. "Entrer."
Kenway opened the door, and he looked unfazed at the barrels of the French muskets as they were cocked back to fire. "It seems my contact was untrustworthy…"
"He was, indeed, monsieur." Dubreton said as he aimed his pistol at Kenway's head. "Now please put your hands up, Assassin."
Instead of doing as the French Templar asked, Kenway ducked as he ignited a special bomb and hurled at the ground as a ripple of musket fire filled the air. The bomb in question was a datura bomb, containing a powerful poison distilled from the plant of the same name, that could kill if inhaled in large quantities.
Holding his breath as he pinched his nose, Kenway ran out of the room like the very devil was after him, hoping the poison would be enough to do Dubreton in.
As he skidded around the corner, the four Spanish guards from before had already drawn their swords to intercept him, and Kenway hurled a smoke bomb into their midst. Black smoke engulfed them, and caused them to yell out in confusion as Kenway activated his special ability.
Everything grew dark as his senses were enhanced to that of an eagle's, and he could see glowing red figures moving about in the darkness. Hurtling past them towards an open window, he jumped out and fell towards the ground.
"Come on, please work!" Kenway muttered to himself as he fumbled for a package he had brought along, and as he unwrapped it, the package billowed in the air. Pulling at the clews of his parachute, Kenway maneuvered his way down safely.
Praying that the French and Spanish hadn't found his horse, he was relieved to see it still grazing peacefully where he had left. Swinging into the saddle easily, he cracked the reins to be off for the covert.
