Another couple of days had gone by and Lita was still in the hospital, but all of that was going to change soon. She was going to leave the hospital in another day and she was very excited about it. Her wound was healing properly, her blood pressure was stable, and everything else was perfectly fine as well. She was glad to finally go back home and back to her life. Sort of. But all of her happiness was going to be ruined pretty soon.

But right now, Trish was visiting her friend during her hour break. They were in the hospital the two worked at after all so the blonde visited the redhead every now and then the past week or so. The two were in the middle of Trish complaining about Stacy and how she wanted to punch her sometimes with Lita agreeing until they were interrupted by three individuals who were about to unintentionally piss off the redhead.

"Hey Trish!" Dawn greeted the blonde when she entered the hospital room along with Adam and Christian. The two women had met before and hung out multiple times through Lita.

"Hey Dawn. Hey Christian," Trish replied with a smile then stopped her gaze on Adam, waiting for someone to introduce the two to one another. She never met him before but she just knew it was him. She heard a lot about him and was happy she was finally able to place a face to the name.

"Hi. I'm Adam," he began to introduce himself and then it got a little awkward. He didn't know whether or not he should say more. "Um-"

Fortunately for him, he was interrupted by Trish. "I know. Ethan looks just like you." She turned around so she was facing Lita once again and no one could read her lips except for the redhead. "He's hot," Trish mouthed to the redhead, "Good work." Lita was torn apart between wanting to laugh at her friend and wanting to tell her to shut up. But she did neither, she simply shook her head. "I should be going now. Break's almost over I'll see you later." She spoke those words out loud this time. "Bye."

"Bye," Lita replied, speaking up for the first time since the three joined the room.

Trish greeted the trio farewell before she went off and back to work. The three glanced at one another nervously before they entered the room and situated themselves in the room near Lita.

"Okay. You all look like you're anxious about something and about to deliver bad news, but first things first. Where's Ethan?" She asked looking at Adam before she turned her attention to Dawn and Christian. "For that matter, where's Brooke? Where did you leave them if all of you are here right now? Oh my God," she began to panic. "Did something happen to either of them? No because then all of you wouldn't be here. Oh my God, it's Ethan. What happened to him?"

Adam shook his head, interrupting Lita before she could worry even more for no reason. "No, Ethan's fine. Both of them are fine. Ethan's with Jacob and his parents at their house," Adam replied.

"Brooke's with my mom," Dawn answered.

Lita nodded. "Okay. That's good. Now tell me what's up with your faces. What did you do?" The trio glanced at one another nervously once again which was not missed by Lita who was getting impatient. "Okay, seriously. Someone spill now. You're worrying me and annoying me at the same time."

"So you're going home tomorrow. That's exciting right?" Dawn was the first one to speak since the other two didn't seem like they were going to be volunteering to speak first any time soon.

Lita rolled her eyes. "Duh. Can you stop beating around the bush and tell me what's going on?"

Dawn waited for someone else to answer, but they still didn't. "Wimps," she muttered under her breath before she continued aloud. "Well, the three of us think that you shouldn't go back home." Lita looked confused and annoyed at the same time and was about to say something, but Dawn kept going on. "Let me finish before you blow up." The redhead reluctantly nodded so the brunette continued. "We don't think that it would be a good idea for you to go home by yourself with Ethan because the doctor said you'll be really tired and you won't really be able to do much until like another month. So um, we think you should move in with me and Christian for a month. We'll help you with-"

"No," Lita interrupted Dawn before she could continue any further. "I'm not going to move in with you two because you have a lot going on and I don't want to invade in your life."

"Li-"

"No Dawn," Lita interjected once again, "You already said what you wanted to say, so it's my turn now. I know you want to help, but like I was saying, I don't want to invade your life. You work at home with kids. You know I can't stay in your house while the kids are there without having to do a whole bunch of crap and being cleared first. And you have Brooke. You don't need me and Ethan as well. And let's not forget that you're pregnant, you need to take care of yourself too."

"We knew you were going to say that which is why there's a Plan B. Plan B was actually Plan A because we knew you weren't going to want to stay with me and Christian for all the reasons you just gave us. But anyways, Adam here will present you with Plan B." He said nothing so Dawn decided to nudge him. "Speak."

Adam rolled his eyes, glancing at Dawn before he spoke. "I'm not a dog."

Dawn scowled. "Shut up and speak before I hit you."

"That made no sense. How am I supposed to shut up and speak at the same time?"

Lita interrupted the petty little argument before Dawn could respond with a smart-ass response of her own. "How about someone tells me what Plan B is before I hit all of you?" That caught the attention of the two previously bickering individuals who were now looking at the woman in the hospital bed and not one another. "Sounds good? It does to me too. Perfect."

"Well," Adam began to say reluctantly because he just knew how she was going to react. "Because you won't stay with bossy and Christian," 'bossy' earned him a light punch to the arm. "That was uncalled for. Anyways, we all think that since you won't stay with them for a month then maybe you should stay with me-" he was about to say more but someone decided to interrupt him.

"Hell no," Lita replied, quite irritated at the plan. "On what Planet does that sound like a good idea? Are you three on drugs? Are you high right now?"

"We said we wouldn't get high without the other and you weren't there so I obviously I didn't get high without you." Dawn was trying to lighten the mood which was a total fail.

"Wait," Christian said before anyone else could say something, glancing between the two women. "You two got high together?"

"Yes," Lita answered. "Years ago. Don't look at us like that. Everyone- well almost everyone- tries marijuana at least once in their life. So don't even lie and say neither of you," she glanced between the two blondes, "have tried it before."

"Okay we did, no more than five times in high school," Christian admitted. "But you two sound like you've don't it way more than that."

"Oh my God," Lita groaned in frustration. "That doesn't matter right now. Yes okay. We got high multiple times. We used to make special brownies when we were stressed with school and life and just had fun."

"And then we stopped that and switched to wine and chocolate during college," Dawn added.

Adam smirked. "So you two were legit potheads?"

Dawn punched him once again, but it wasn't light this time. Lita on the other hand, closed her eyes and counted to three before taking a deep breath and opening them again. "Shut up. Let's get back to the point. I don't need to be baby sat by either of you. I'm fully capable of taking care of myself."

"We know that," Dawn replied. "But Dr. Bailey said someone should be with you for the first month or so and we're your only options." Dawn smirked before she added the next part. "Wait, John might be an option too." That earned her two looks of glare, one from Adam and one from Lita and as well as a chuckle from Christian. "Chill, I was joking. Anyways, you don't want to stay with me and Christian so the best option is Adam and that way Ethan can have both his parents."

"That right there is the main reason why that is a bad idea. We all know how Ethan wants me and..." She trailed off when she realized what she was about to say and found sudden interest in the monkey Ethan gave to her a couple of days earlier which was right beside her on the bed. "We all know how Ethan wants both of his parents together and wants us to live like a happy family and that's never going to happen." She missed the hurt look on Adam's face since she was distracting herself with the stuffed monkey so she wouldn't have to look at anyone, specifically Adam. But the other two most definitely did not miss the look. "I don't want to give him false hope." She finally looked up, but continued to avoid any eye contact with her ex. "I don't need to move in with either of you."

"Yes you do." It was Christian who was trying to convince her otherwise today. "Look, just tell Ethan the truth that you'll only be staying with Adam because you're still a little sick and you need help."

"I might as well tell him 'mommy is still sick and could croak at any given time and needs help from daddy just in case she dies in front of you."

All three were taken back by her dramatic statement. "Um that's not what I meant. And you're not dying. You're fine."

"Yes. I know that. You know that. We all know that, but Ethan doesn't. You didn't see how scared he was when he came here some days ago. I told him I was better. If I tell him I'm sick, he'll get scared again."

"You need to stop using him as an excuse," Dawn said fed up.

"That's not fair. You know I always think about him before I do anything."

Dawn nodded. "I know. But seriously, just explain to him how you need some help for a bit. Sure he's a little kid but I'm pretty sure he'll be able to understand you need help. He'll be happy that his dad is helping his mom."

"I know you don't want to give him false hope," Adam spoke up, and Lita finally managed to look at him, "but we won't be doing that. We explain to him what's going on and ask him if he's okay with it which I'm sure he will be."

"You already told him and asked him if that was okay." That was more of a statement than was it a question that left Lita's mouth.

"Possibly."

"Asshole."

Dawn sighed. "Look Lili, Adam only did it because we knew you weren't going to agree and you would only agree if he got to Ethan first. Was that a low move? Maybe, but none of us want you to stay by yourself right now. It's only going to be six weeks."

Lita repeated her actions from earlier when she closed her eyes, counted to three, and took a deep breath before she opened them again and talked. "First it was a month. Now it's six weeks? Six weeks is longer than a month. No wonder you failed algebra."

Dawn chose to ignore her friends last statement. "So are you going to stay with Adam?"

Lita thought about it for a moment and shook her head. "I hate you all right now but... Yes."

"Wow," Christian began to say. "I thought convincing you was going to be harder than this. This wasn't that difficult."

"Yes because you jackasses decided to use my son in all of this. I really hate you right now."

"Whatever," came Adam's reply. "Dawn and I packed up some of your clothes and took them to my place. You need anything else?"

Oh no, Lita thought, he went through my closet? He probably saw. "I can't even get my things myself?"

"Fine. We'll go tomorrow after you get released."

Lita simply nodded. Suddenly, she wasn't feeling too much in the mood for talking. She just hoped Adam didn't find the shirt or bottle of cologne in her closet and if he did, she wished he didn't question her about it. They never officially moved in together when they were in a relationship, but some of his things were in her apartment and vice versa. She threw away almost everything of his in anger when she found out she was pregnant, he wouldn't answer any of her calls, and realized he wasn't going to come back any time soon. But she kept an old shirt of his as well as a bottle of his cologne which was her favorite. She used to spray some of that cologne on the shirt and wore it to sleep sometimes when he left for the first two or so years because it helped her fall asleep when sleep didn't come to her. To her it felt like she was sleeping in his arms which was something near the top of the list of things she missed most about him. She just didn't want to admit any of that to him. Hopefully he didn't see either of the items she still kept in her closet even though she hadn't worn the shirt in years.

It was the next day and Adam picked up Lita from the hospital and the two were on their way to his house. It was relatively quiet between the two other than the redhead asking the blonde where Ethan was. He told her he was with Dawn and Christian because he knew sometimes the release process took a couple of hours and he thought the little boy would get restless at the hospital. He told her they were going to bring him later when they came to visit.

"Well, we're here," Adam said as he parked the car in the driveway. He unbuckled his belt and got out of the car with Lita doing the same.

"I can walk myself," Lita began to say when it looked like he was going to assist her. "I don't need your help with that." She tried to get her bags filled with clothes and other things she had with her at the hospital and some other things she went to get from her apartment, but he wouldn't let her. "I can take my bags myself too."

"That's nice, but I don't really care." She rolled her eyes at him and he proceeded to take her bags and walk towards the house with her following behind him.

Adam unlocked and opened the door and entered the house, but Lita made no such movement. She was really dreading staying with him for the next six weeks. She didn't want to give Ethan any false hope, but she didn't want to get comfortable herself either.

"Um, you know you can come in right?" He asked when he realized she wasn't entering herself. Lita nodded and finally entered the house.

"Do you need anything right now? Do you want to rest? You look a little tired."

"Um, no," she shook her head. "I'm not tired."

"Okay. Um, I'll take you to your room then. Well, the room you'll be staying in for until you go back," Adam said as he waited for no response and went up the stairs with her following him. "I hope it's fine," he said when they arrived to the room, dropping her bags in the corner.

"Yup, thanks." It then became ever more awkward between the two as they fell into silence.

"Do you need anything?" He asked once again.

She shook her head. "No. I'm fine. Thanks though."

"Okay. Well I'm going to go to pick up your medicine from the Pharmacy. It should be ready to pick up by now. Will you be okay by yourself?"

"Yes. I'm just going to organize my things together if that's okay."

"Of course it is. I'll try to get back soon. But do you need something before I leave?"

"No thanks." He simply nodded and was about to leave, but Lita said something before he could. "In case I forget to say it, thanks... for everything. You've been really helpful the past couple of weeks even though you didn't have to. Thank you."

"No problem." With that said, he left.

This is going to be a long six week, Lita thought to herself as she began to organize her things like she told Adam.
