It had been four months since Adam and Lita cleared everything and finally had a decent conversation about the past which resulted in them in deciding to give their relationship another go. Both of them really wanted it to work out and they thought it would. And everything so far was pretty good between them. They felt like they were in their own little World when they were together which was great for them.

But there was a little problem with their relationship: they didn't tell anyone yet, most importantly Ethan. Because the relationship was basically a secret for now, they had to be sneaky when they actually did see one another outside of when Ethan was included. It wasn't that easy to keep the relationship a secret and to sneak around. Both Dawn and Christian just assumed they were being friendly and getting along for Ethan's sake so they didn't question the sudden change in they way they acted towards one another. They were careful to not say or do anything that would make either of their friends- especially Dawn since she was the nosy one- to catch up on what was going on. It's not like they didn't want to share the news with anyone, it was just that they wanted Ethan to be the first one to know and they wanted to avoid him finding out in the similar fashion he found out Adam was his father. They didn't think it would be fair to him to find out accidentally and if even one other person other than them knew, then it was possible he would find out on accident.

It wasn't that easy for them to find a way to spend some time with just them two together, but they were actually able to do it. Lita still had two more doctors appointments until it was known for sure that the tumor was completely gone and there was no trace of it. She found that out during her first doctors appointment post surgery and first scan, but it still had to be done two more times. So they used Adam going with her to the doctors as a way to be together. They hung out just the two of them before and after the appointment and they didn't even have to lie to Dawn that the appointment ran long because one of them picked up Ethan around the time her actual daycare hours ended. And then there was a time when they actually lied to their friends and made an excuse before asking them if they could look after Ethan. They only did that once because they didn't want to use their friends, more specifically Dawn and Christian, to look after their child just so they could be together. Then there were times at night when Ethan would be sleeping and Adam and Lita would just hang out together for a couple of hours at whoever's home Ethan was staying with at that time. They just had to be careful with the noise level especially when they were at Lita's apartment, but they never got caught. They did feel bad keeping their relationship a secret from their son, but they were still figuring out how they were going to tell him.

They had no problems with how they could be together at the present time because Ethan was at a sleepover at Jacob's house. Lita was reluctant in allowing Ethan to stay there, but she did trust both of Jacob's parents and Ethan practically begged her to let him stay at his friends house. Fortunately for them, the redhead didn't have work that weekend so the blonde came over so they could just be together. They didn't want to go out not because they could run into someone, but because they just liked being together and not really doing much. They just liked one another's company. To them it didn't matter what they were doing, as long as they were doing it together.

Right now they were watching a movie which they ended up regretting only ten minutes in the movie. It was to slow and boring for their liking even for just giving it a ten minute chance. They ended up just talking, but still had it playing on in the background, occasionally making comments about how stupid the movie was.

"Ethan asked me the other day if he could get a tattoo," Lita began to say when she saw the tattoo on one of the actors in the movie.

"So you obviously told him 'no'."

"Duh. I told him he could get one of those temporary tattoos then he said, and I quote 'But you and daddy have tattoos. Why can't I have one. I want one too.'"

Adam chuckled. "I knew that was coming. So then what did you say?"

"That he can get one if he wants when he's old enough. He asked when that would be and I said when he was eighteen. He said that was too long from now so then he decided to get some temporary tattoos."

"So that's why he has a snake on him arm." That was more of a statement than it was a question.

She nodded. "Mhm." She then started to rub her neck when she felt it hurt again.

"Still hurts?" The blonde asked redhead when he saw her rub her neck for the multiple time that night.

"Yea. I think I probably slept on it wrong or something. It's actually been hurting since yesterday. Thought it would stop already but it hasn't."

"Alright, turn around."

She looked at him in confusion. "Um why?"

"So I can give you a massage." She shook her head, an action which she regretted and resulted in her to wince in pain. He spoke up before she could verbally decline. "Don't say you don't need one. That right there shows me that you do."

"It's okay," she ignored him and did start to protest, but he interrupted before she could continue.

"No it's not. Now turn around."

She sighed as she finally gave in. "Okay. Just don't hurt me."

She turned around so that her back was facing him. She placed her hair in a bun so that it wouldn't get in his way.

He was about to begin with the massage but thought of something before he did. "Take you shirt off."

She turned around to glare at him. "So this is why you want to give me a massage so I can take my shirt off and then eventually you want it to lead to more."

He rolled his eyes. "No. It's just easier access."

"To what?"

He rolled his eyes once again. "Your neck and shoulders. You can keep your shirt on if you want, just saying it would be easier if you took it off."

It was her turn to roll her eyes, but she said nothing as she turned around once again and did take her shirt off. "I'm not taking my bra off so don't even ask me to do that."

"It's going to come off later regardless," he muttered under his breath as he was about to place his hands on her shoulders.

"What did you just say?" She turned around to glare at him once again. He knew she heard him.

He shrugged. "Nothing you already don't know. You know it's coming off later."

"Like it has the past couple of months," she replied sarcastically.

"Which is why it's going to happen now."

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before she opened them and then turned around again. "Just shut up."

He said nothing as he began the massage. At first it was too hard and it just made it hurt even more so she told him to cool it down a bit which he did. But then it became too gentle that she wasn't really feeling the effects. It took him a couple of minutes to find a middle ground that she was satisfied with.

"Mmm. That feels good."

"I knew that's what you needed," he replied.

"Yea... right there... Mmm... harder…"

"Is that fine?" Adam asked as he tried not to laugh at her. She was moaning a lot and it seemed like she was enjoying this even though she initially declined his massage offer.

"Oh God yes. That feels so good."

Adam couldn't help it anymore and started to laugh.

"What's so funny?" Lita asked, turning around to face him when he ceased his previous task at the moment. She didn't wait for him to respond when she realized why he was laughing. "You're such an immature pervert."

"You're the one who's making the noises," he replied after he sobered up.

"Not my fault it feels so good."

"I know something else that feels better."

Whatever Lita was about to say in response was interrupted when she found herself pressed tightly against Adam with his lips crashing against her own. She let her hands slide through his hair and down his neck as their kiss deepened.

And that was when they heard a knock on the door. Both of them were trying to contain their breathing as they pulled away from one another, staring at the door. They stayed silent and didn't move until they heard another knock on the door.

Lita got up from the couch and was about to head to the door, but Adam grabbed her wrist and she turned around to face him, giving him a questionable look.

"Don't go," he said as quiet as he could so she could hear him but the person at the door couldn't. "Whoever it is will leave if they think you're not here. If it happens to be one of Jacobs parents with Ethan because he's scared or something, they would have called so it's not them. Just ignore it."

Lita was about to say that sounded like a good, but then the phone rang and she let the answering machine answer it. And then she heard an all too familiar voice.

"Li, I know you're in there. I saw your car in the parking lot. And I know you're not sleeping. Open up." And then she hung up.

"Of course it has to be Dawn," Adam groaned while he got up from the couch. "I'll be waiting in there," he gestured towards her room. "Get rid of her so we can go back to just us." Lita nodded and he went inside her room, closing the door behind him.

The redhead took a deep breath before she put her shirt back on. She took a quick glance around the surrounding area making sure there were no signs of the blonde around before she finally opened the door.

"Took you long enough," was the first thing the brunette said when the redhead opened the door.

"I was taking a nap," Lita lied as she allowed the other woman to enter her home.

Dawn sat down on the couch before she looked at Lita in disbelief. "It's seven in the evening. Who takes a nap that late?"

Lita shrugged as she sat down next to Dawn. "Tired people."

"Yea, I don't believe you. Your face is flushed and you look like a little kid who got caught doing something she wasn't supposed to do." Her gaze moved to the table in front of them, speaking up before the other woman could say anything in response. "Why are there two glasses on the table?" Dawn gestured to said object.

Oh God, Lita thought to herself. Probably should have cleared the table before she came in. "One for iced tea, one for soda. I can never make up my mind."

Dawn gave her a suspicious look. "You don't drink soda."

"Once in a blue moon."

"Okay. Ooh," the pregnant woman said when she saw a box of pizza also on the table. "Pizza."

"Help yourself."

"Maybe later."

Maybe later? No. Take it and leave. "So is there a reason why you're here?" She asked trying not to make it seem like she wanted her gone.

Dawn smiled at her. "I went to the doctors yesterday and found out the sex of the baby and since you're alone I thought I would visit you and tell you."

She's not alone, Adam thought to himself while in Litas room. You can leave now. He could hear the two women talk since that's what he was trying to do. He just wanted Dawn gone so he and Lita could continue what they were doing before the other woman interrupted them.

"Okay. Tell me."

"Girl," Dawn squealed.

"Congrats Dawnie." Lita hugged her, speaking up again after the hug ended. "Christian is probably upset. I know he wanted a boy.

Dawn rolled her eyes. "He was for a bit but then I said that you and Adam let him borrow Ethan when he wants so it's okay."

"Yea. So have you been thinking of any names?"

"Well," Dawn began to say a bit hesitantly, "I really have liked the name Emma ever since I heard about your dream.'

"Okay. That's a cute name."

"Yea, but I mean, you dreamt it, do you want to use it? You know if you ever do have a daughter."

"Um, not really. Plus, if I ever do have a daughter, I want to name her Olivia after my mom."

"Oh, I really like that name too. It reminds me of Olivia Pope. What a strong, badass woman. Anyways, don't worry, you called that name so I won't take it. But I really do like Emma so I might steal that from you."

"Go for it."

You can leave now, Adam thought while he was impatiently waiting in Lita's bedroom.

"Alright, I want some pizza now," Dawn said as she opened up the pizza box. "You ate like half of the box yourself?"

Lita shrugged. "It's leftovers."

"Doesn't look like its been in the fridge and doesn't look even a day old. Plus you don't like pineapple and half of these have pineapple on them."

"Well, it is leftovers and Ethan likes pineapple."

"Someone is here with you," Dawn said as she looked around the room and towards the other rooms with all the doors were closed. "There are two glasses on the table. You don't ever drink soda, not even in once in a while. The pizza isn't leftovers, it's from today. You don't even like- Oh my God!" Dawn exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock when she came to a realization of who could possibly be with Lita. "Adam likes pineapple!" Oh shit, both Adam and Lita were thinking the same thing. "And Christian was trying to contact Adam but he wasn't answering his phone because he's with you!"

"No he's not," Lita continued to lie. "Why would he be here?"

"I don't know," Dawn said while she took her phone out of her purse. "You tell me."

"Who are you calling?" Lita asked as Dawn as the latter began to dial a number.

"Oh my God!" Dawn exclaimed when she saw Adam emerge into the living room and she hung up the phone. "You two are totally back together!"

"Is that a problem?" Adam asked which confirmed her earlier statement.

"No! Oh my God!" Dawn squealed. "I knew it was going to happen! Finally! Li, you finally stopped being stubborn!"

Adam and Lita glanced at one another before the latter spoke up. "You're giving us a headache. Please calm down."

"I'm just so happy!" And then she punched Lita on the arm. "When did this start and why am I just finding out about this?"

"You're gonna have to control your hands," Lita said as she rubbed the spot on the arm Dawn hit her. "Four months ago."

"Four months ago!" Dawn interrupted before Lita could continue. "And why am I just finding out about this?"

"Because we wanted to tell Ethan first."

"You still haven't told him?"

"No," Adam answered before Lita could. "Now I'm not trying to be rude, but can you leave? This is the first time we don't really have any time constraints."

"So you're spending the night since Ethan isn't here?" Dawn asked with a smirk present on her face.

"That is none of your business," came Lita's response. "Like he said, we're not trying to be rude, but can you leave?"

"Fine," Dawn said, getting up from the couch. "But I want all the details later," she said focusing her attention to he redhead.

"We'll see."

"Right, I'm just going to take a slice to go," Dawn said as she did just that. "Bye bye." She walked towards the door, but turned around to say something to Adam before she could leave. "I don't think you will, but if you hurt her again, I will kill you. That is not a threat, it's a promise." And then she smiled at him. "Bye now." With that said, she left.

"She's frightening and crazy sometimes," Adam said before he added something else which earned him a glare as well as a light punch to the arm. "No wonder you two get along so well and are best friends. Okay, that was uncalled for."

She said nothing so he decided to speak up again. "You know we have to tell Ethan sooner rather than later, right?"

"Yea."

"How about when he comes home tomorrow?" He suggested.

She nodded in agreement. "It's about time. It's been long enough so yea, maybe we should tell him tomorrow."

"So let's get back to what we were doing before Dawn rudely interrupted us." He moved closer to her but she backed away.

"Or how about we clean up this mess first," she gestured to the table in front of them.

"That can wait."

"No it can't. It's only going to take like five minutes." She smirked before she added the next part. "You waited four months, you could wait five more minutes."

"Actually, I can't. But I can try."

"Did you have fun with Jacob and your other friends?" Lita asked Ethan the next day when she picked him up from his friends house.

"Yes!"

Lita was about to say more, but then she heard a knock on the door and she knew who it was. He's early, she thought to herself as she went and opened the door to reveal Adam on the other side. After Dawn left last night, they decided that four months was enough time for them to be comfortable with believing for sure their relationship had a chance in lasting and it was about time they should let Ethan know.

"Daddy!" Ethan beamed when he saw his father now in the living room right beside his mother.

"Hey buddy," Adam began to say as he took a seat on the couch right beside Ethan and Lita did the same taking a seat on the other side of the little boy. "Mommy and I have to tell you something."

Ethan said nothing as he continued to stare at his dad and waited for him to continue.

"Okay. Um, I don't really know what to say. Well, I do but I don't know where to start. I mean-"

"Adam," Lita interrupted his rambling when she saw how confused Ethan looked. "Stop." She shook her head before she turned her attention to Ethan who did the same. "Sweetie, what your daddy is trying to say is that... He... I..." She trailed off when she realized she had no clue how to word any of this either.

"See. Not so easy, is it?"

Lita scowled but said nothing in return.

"Okay Ethan. What mommy and I are trying to say is that I love her so much."

"And I love your daddy a lot."

"We spent a lot of time alone for many years which is complicated to explain. I mean you are a little kid and I did-"

"Hon," Lita interrupted him once again. "You're rambling again."

"Right. Okay. Like I said, we spent a lot of time without each other, but we don't want to do that anymore."

Adam was about to say more until Ethan decided to say something instead. "So we're finally going to be a real family?"

Both adults noticed the cautious tone in his voice. He was definitely going to be happy when they told him 'yes', but it seemed like he was preparing himself for something he didn't want to hear. They looked at one another and smiled before looking down to Ethan who was waiting for an answer.

"Yes," Lita finally answered his question.

Ethan smiled at both his parents before hugging the two. "I love you mommy. I love you daddy."

"We love you too baby."

The little family ended their hug. Ethan glanced between the two adults before he asked them a question they were prepared to answer. They knew this was going to be one of the first questions he would ask them and they did have previous conversations about it when they were discussing when and how to tell Ethan. "Are we finally going to live together in one house?"

Adam and Lita glanced at one another before the former replied. "Yes. We're going to live together at my- well now, our house. Is that okay with you?"

"Yes!" Ethan exclaimed. Then he frowned when he thought about something. "Daddy, you're not going to leave me and mommy again, are you?"

Adam shook his head. "No. And I'm sorry that I ever did. I never wanted to, but I had to. I know you don't like hearing this, but I will tell you when you're older and it's easier for me to explain to you and for you to understand. Okay?"

Ethan nodded. "Okay."

Adam smiled. "How about you go put your stuff away," he said motioning to the bag Ethan took with him to Jacob's house. "I have to talk to mommy."

"Okay," Ethan said as he got up from the couch and picked up his bag and went to his room.

"Wow. You totally just kicked him out," Lita said when it was just her and Adam now in the living room.

Adam nodded and said nothing for a while just staring at Lita who was a little worried and confused by his change of demeanor.

"What's wrong? You look... Well, I don't know, but... What's wrong?"

The blonde man looked away and then look back up the redheaded woman before he took a deep breath and spoke up. "There's something I need to tell you that you already don't know." He saw how anxious she looked so he tried to clear any confusion to try and make her relax. "Don't worry, it's nothing bad."

That did make her calm down a bit, but she was still worried and nervous about what he could possible say. "Then?"

"Remember when Dawn and Christian got married?" She simply nodded and he took that as a gesture to continue. "Honestly, during their wedding, I couldn't help but think how much I wanted that to be us and how much I wanted that for us. I know we never actually talked about marriage around that time, but I knew I wanted that and I wanted it with you."

"That's kind of funny because I was thinking the same thing throughout their wedding," Lita replied.

"Then you brought up the conversation about a future together and that only made me confirm and believe even more that I wanted to marry you. Which is why," he said while he pulled something out of his pocket, "I bought this," he said in regards to the engagement ring he just pulled out his pocket which made her gasp in shock, "not long after. I planned on proposing to you but then that was when the whole situation happened and I left."

Lita was speechless. This was the first she heard about him wanting to propose before he suddenly left her.

"I carried this around with me in my pocket for at least a year before I just kept it in a special place in my house. And then I started to carry it again when I knew I was going to give this back to you. Not four months ago," he said referring to when they got back together, "but six months ago when I finally told you the truth. I knew our chapter hadn't closed. I knew we were going to be together again even though you were pushing me away. I knew we would be able to fix this even though Christian and my mom were trying to convince me it was finally over and I should just move on." He decided to add more when he realized how bad that may have sounded. "I mean, you know how they both feel about you. My mom loves you, but it's just that they both wanted me to be happy and thought that was the best option. To move on. But what they didn't know is that you make me happy. It isn't possible for me to be happy with someone who isn't you."

He paused when he noticed how teary eyed the redhead was. "Please don't cry."

She shook her head, speaking up for the first time since he pulled out the ring. "It's not... I'm not..." She trailed off and he understood she was trying to say she wasn't sad and that wasn't why she was crying. They were happy tears.

"I know we only got back together four months ago," he continued. "It could seem like to someone who doesn't know us that we're rushing this, but I don't think we are. We didn't break up because we fell out of love or got into this huge fight and hated each other or something. We broke up because I was an idiot who did something stupid even though I did it with good intentions," that earned him a little laugh from the still teary eyed woman. "I just did it the wrong way."

He smiled at her before he finally asked her something he wanted to so many years ago. "Will you marry me?"

Thanks for reading. Thanks for the reviews. OMG. Surpassed 100 reviews. Yay! Thanks! I lied as you can tell from the cliffhanger, but that's okay. This is not the last chapter, the next one is because I changed my mind and I'm allowed to do that. Anyways, hope you liked the chapter.
