The Way I Are

Chapter Fifteen

"Ronald, please. I cannot believe you're holding this against me!" Hermione Weasley shouts at her redheaded, arse of a husband.

"Harry has been shagging Malfoy and you knew and didn't tell me! How could I not hold that against you?" Ron yells back, equally as loud as Hermione.

"He said he wanted to, what could I do, Ron?" Hermione asks her husband, calmer this time.

"Be loyal to your husband! I'm really glad Harry's happy, I am, but I just wish he was happy with someone other than Malfoy," Ron sighs, placing a hand on his wife's cheek.

"I know, Ron, but if Harry says he's changed, we should give him a chance, for Harry's sake. Why don't we have the two of them over for diner sometime soon? We can see then if he's changed."

"This is not a good idea," Draco says for the umpteenth time as we get ready for dinner at Ron and Hermione's about two weeks from when I told them about Draco and I.

"Oh, hush. Just remember, we made a deal," I tell him, smacking his bum lightly and kissing his bare shoulder blade.

"I know. But doesn't it say something that you've had to bribe me with copious amounts of sex whenever I want to get me to go to dinner with those two?" Draco asks, shrugging on a button-up, but leaving it open while he fixes his hair in my bathroom mirror.

"It worked, didn't it?" I laugh, buttoning up my jeans.

Of course, I'm finished long before Draco is, leaving me to lay on my bed, almost falling asleep, for about an hour until he's done.

Draco comes out of my bathroom looking absolutely ravishing, making me think twice about going out tonight, despite knowing I have to.

His blonde hair is professionally combed back from his face and he has one simple, stud earring in his left ear, which he pierced about a week ago. Originally, I wasn't sure how I liked it, but now, it's kind of hot. He also has on a royal blue button-down on, only buttoned to the third from the top in true Malfoy fashion, and dark jeans. Usually, Draco would only wear slacks during the day, but decided to switch it up tonight.

"You know, on second thought, I think I would much rather stay in tonight," I whisper, sitting up slightly, beckoning Draco over to me with one finger.

Draco smiles deviously, crawling onto my bed, holding himself only a couple of inches above me.

He leans down and presses his lips down to mine, lowering himself down so he's almost fully on top of me.

I'm half-tempted to run my fingers through his perfectly done hair or tear his button-down right off of him, but I know I can't let myself get lost in kissing him.

"We have to go, Dray," I mumble, almost incoherently against his lips.

"Shh," he whispers back, curling his fingers into my already messed up hair, rolling onto his side so we're in the same configuration, only on our sides instead.

I shrug and continue to hold him tightly, trying not to let myself forget about Ron and Hermione.

Draco presses himself as close as humanly possible to me, running his fingers down my side before slipping his hand into my back pocket.

Draco pushes me lightly so only I'm laying on my back, while he's still on his side. This makes it easier for Draco to tilt my head to the side and begin kissing my neck like he knows I love.

My eyes flutter shut as I reach out for Draco's button-down, unbuttoning it quickly, but leaving it still on his shoulders.

"Dray, we have to go…," I repeat, trying to slide myself away from him.

Draco may seem thin and lanky and slightly feminine, but he's strong enough to restrain me if need be, so it was easy for him to inhibit me from doing so.

"But you promised. Whenever I wanted," Draco winks, popping the button on my jeans open.

"I said, whenever you wanted— after Ron and Hermione's. And I will stand by that."

Draco doesn't seem happy about that and his eyes darken, almost enough to frighten me. But the thing with Draco is, in his eyes, desire and anger look almost identical. And more often than not, they're intermixed. Right now, though, it's desire. Pure, unadulterated, desire.

And with that, Draco slides his hand down, inside my jeans, making my breath hitch.

My head rolls back and my hips buck upward slightly, pressing myself into his hand, and one of my hands flies to where his is, holding it steady. But more importantly, I'm trying to pretend like I don't want him just as badly, although I think he can feel for himself that I do.

"C'mon, Dray. Please. You're making this very hard for me."

"I can tell," Draco winks, kissing my lips slowly, keeping his hand right where it is, only pressing a little more.

"Draco," I warn, fisting my bed sheets in my free hand when he pulls back from kissing me.

"Oh, alright, if you insist. Let's go or we'll be even later than we are already," he whispers as he withdraws his hand from the lower parts of my anatomy.

Draco stands from my bed, keeping his eyes on my as he buttons his shirt back up slowly, taking his leave out of my bedroom and into the kitchen when he's finished.

"Tease," I mutter to myself as I too stand, fixing my clothes quickly as I head into my kitchen behind Draco.

"Sorry we're late, 'Mione. Princess over here's hair fell out of place so he simply had to right it," I apologize, lying about what exactly kept us.

"Blame Harry, he's the reason it fell in the first place," Draco laughs, implying something else that I surely hope Hermione doesn't catch.

"Well, you look fine to me, Draco. Ron's just finishing up supper, come, we'll be eating in the kitchen," she smiles, showing us—mostly Draco—to the kitchen.

"Where are my niece and nephew this evening?" I ask, holding Draco's hand tightly, sensing that he's uncomfortable.

"With Grandma Molly. We—well, I—figured it would be easier to get to know Draco better without two screaming children running around," Hermione answers, elbowing Ron in the ribs to get him to talk.

"Hey, mate," Ron says, obviously to me, shaking my hand before turning to Draco. "Malfoy."

Ron doesn't shake Draco's hand, not that I expected him to.

"Weasley."

Hermione assists her husband in setting out platters of delicious-looking food for the four of us. The husband and wife duo take their seats on one side of the table, leaving the other two for Draco and I.

The four of us begin eating in silence, occasionally Hermione and I will say something to each other, but the other two men stay silent.

"So, Draco, how did this relationship come about?" Hermione asks, trying to be polite and also make up for her husband's rudeness.

"Don't you listen, 'Mione? He and Harry were shagging and decided, 'Oh, what he hell? Two sworn enemies since school being together shouldn't end too horribly'," Ron says, biting a large piece of chicken off of his fork.

"Ronald! That was rude!" Hermione yells, turning to her husband with a look of horror and shock on her face.

Under the table, I place my hand on Draco's thigh and squeeze reassuringly. I care about him and I don't care what Ron says.

"Granger, I'd be happy to answer your question, unless your husband's answer is sufficient for you," Draco says, placing his hand on top of mine on his leg.

"Go ahead, Draco, I'm listening."

"While Weasley was slightly more vulgar, he wasn't wrong. Harry and I were sleeping together and simply decided that that just wasn't enough any more. Adding to that that Harry's previous boyfriend turned out to be a complete arse, it just fell into place. And now we're better than ever."

"Well, congratulations. I'm happy you have each other," Hermione smiles, raising her glass of wine to toast. "To happiness."

"To happiness," Draco and I say in unison as Ron shoots up from the dinner table, almost knocking his chair backwards as he leave the room quickly.

Hermione's cheeks turn red; she's embarrassed by the way her husband is acting, and rightfully so.

With my hand still on Draco's thigh, I feel his mobile phone begin to vibrate quickly in short bursts— like a heartbeat.

"Oh, um, excuse me, please. I-It's Pansy. She only calls when Blaise has done something to upset her. I'll only be a minute," Draco excuses himself, heading out the front door with his mobile pressed to his ear.

"And then there were two," Hermione laughs nervously, beginning to clean up the table from supper.

"I suppose that was to be expected, 'Mione. I'm sorry this all happened," I frown, picking up some plates and glasses to help Hermione.

"It's fine, really. Ron never wanted to do this. I had to give him a bit of a bribe to get him to agree. Not only did I buy him Quidditch World Cup tickets, but he also insisted on having another something as a present to him for his cooperation— me," Hermione laughs again, probably embarrassed by what she's saying.

"You're not alone, Hermione. I had to bribe Dray too. Sex whenever he wants for the next month," I laugh along as Hermione washes dish after dish beside me.

"Well, a deal is a deal. I'm sure I won't be getting in touch with you very often for the next few weeks, then," Hermione winks, leaning her head on my shoulder.

"Excuse me, Granger. You make me out to be some sort of sexual deviant. I can assure you, I am rarely the instigator," Draco laughs, stepping back into the kitchen and placing a hand on my back.

"Need I remind you of earlier, Mr. Malfoy?"

"Technically, you instigated that as well. I can't be at fault for being devilishly attractive," Draco says looking to Hermione to see her reaction.

"And I'll add the two of you's sex life to the list of things I never needed to hear about my best friend," she closes her eyes and pinches her lips like she's just eaten a sour candy.

"Sorry, Granger. Here's another tidbit to add to that list: Not only is he the seducer in most cases, he's also a screamer," Draco winks and my cheeks turn red from embarrassment.

"Thanks for having us over, 'Mione! And I apologize for my boyfriend's vulgarity."

"It's quite alright, really," she says, laughing between words."Draco, I'm glad you came tonight. Much as I wish things went better today, I'm glad they went at all. Now, you two, go home. Harry, I'll give you a ring tomorrow, seeing as you'll probably be busy tonight."

Boy, I hope so.
