Enjorlas So tonight is the opening night for Eponine's play and the whole gang is coming to support her. She has been gone since 6:30 this morning running scenes and re-blocking things. I took her a coffee earlier and she gave me a quick kiss and then had to go...well at least I got the kiss. I leave Elliot with the baby sitter and go to the theatre early to see Ep before the show. When I get there I go to her dressing room to see her just finishing her make-up, she looks great. I have always been amazed with how she is able to transform into these different people, how she took something she loved and turned it into a career. "Hey!, i have missed you all day" she says "I missed you to and so did Elliot, you nervous at all?" " yes actually, its just that its a new show, i mean previews went well but you never know' "you will do great i know it" she kisses me lightly on the lips. " Alright I have to finish getting ready, Ill see you after though, Love you!" "I love you too". I walk back up to the front and wait for everyone else to get there and when they do we go sit down. On the way to sit down I bump into the man infornt of me, I start to apologize when the man turns, its a member of Eponine's fathers gang. He gets a panicked look on his face and runs out, im about to chase after him when Marius holds me back. "We can deal with them after the show, right now we need to be here for Eponine". He is right and so with that we go to our seats and sit down. The opening is amazing, the audience is in aw over Eponine and the way she commands the stage. Im so happy for her that she was able to get back and recover enough to do this because she loves it so much. At intermission I walk out to get a drink and i see outside that Eponines fathers gang is hanging out across the street which cant be an accident. "Marius isnt that Eponines fathers gang" "Yeah what do you think we should do" "Im calling the cops and im going to tell them to wait, I have some things i want to say to him" with that we go back to our seats for the second part of the show. When the show is over the cast gets a standing ovations and Eponine cant stop smiling. I head back to her dressing room while the guys all go out back to make sure no one is out there. "You were amazing tonight, where did you get such talent?" "Eponine giggles and i wrap her in a huge hug "Not to alarm you but your dads gang is outside, dont worry the guys are out back waiting for us and the cops are on stand by." she tenses up "Ok... let me just get dressed real quick and then we can go" I stand outside and wait for her. She come out and looks very serious she tells everyone goodnight and then when we are about to walk out she stops me. "I want you to know that before we walk out while we all hate my father remember he is my father so if you are going to mess him up dont kill him if he attacks me, but i want to thank you all for protecting me." with that she opens the door before i can say anything. When we walk into the alley there is nobody there for a minute and then out of no where comes Eponines dad and his gang, he grabs Eponine before i can do anything and she screams."I see I didnt finish my job last time" her dad says holding a knife up to her throat. Why did i have to let him grab her. Her eyes are shut tight like she is trying to keep from crying. Just as im about to lunge at him i see the guys come around the corner. The gang is outnumbered to us. "The cops will be here in around well i don't know two minutes so i suggest that if you dont want more charges added you let her go" I say to him. With that his eyes get wide and he lets her go but not without a good push which leads to her landing on the ground hard. I quickly go to pick her up worried about her still sore ribs. Just then the police pull in and the gang dosnt know what to do so they all just stand there. They arrest all the men and then take them away telling Eponine that they need her to come in tomorrow to talk to them. Once they leave Joly and I take Eponine over to our car so he can check her ribs because she is having a hard time standing up. I gently set her down and Joly says that while she might have some bruises in the morning and might be sore but she is ok. I thank the guys one last time and we head home, Eponine goes straight to our bedroom and I pay the babysitter and then go and check on Eliot before heading to our room. Eponine is in the shower so I change and then get and bed to read. When she comes out her eyes are red and puffy, which means she has been crying. She silently walks over to the bedside crawls in next to me. "Want to tell me what's wrong" I ask, " I just never thought I'd be upset that he was caught I just guess I'm upset because even though I don't want to love and care about him he is my dad" "it's ok to be upset it's perfectly normal" she kisses me,"I love you, now let's go to bed you have a case tomorrow you need to sleep" so I turn out the lights and we fall asleep next to each other.
