Gail woke the next morning in Holly's bed. She was lying half on top of Holly, their legs tangled together and her arm draped across the brunettes chest. Gail started pressing light kisses to Holly's neck to wake her up. Holly purred as she stretched awake.
"Now that is one way to wake up." Holly said.
"Mmm, I only woke you so you could go and get me coffee." Gail quipped.
Holly chuckled. "How very charming of you."
"Well I'm only doing you a favour really, I am very… very… grumpy in the morning." Gail said, peppering kisses on Holly's neck still.
"Well you don't seem that grumpy to me."
"Oh but I am." Gail said. She couldn't help the huge grin that was spread across her face.
Gail Peck usually was a terrible morning person. Nobody would speak to her in a morning unless they wanted to get their head bitten off. However this morning, Gail was the least grumpy she had ever been.
Holly got up to make them some coffee. Gail couldn't tear her eyes away as a naked Holly got out of the bed, putting a robe on. Not that the robe covered much of her anyway. She only tied it loosely around her waist so that plenty of cleavage was still on show, and it only came down to the top of her thighs anyway. It was strange but Gail thought she looked even sexier with it on. She was sure Holly had put it on for that reason only. As Holly came back into the room with their coffee, Gail sat up wrapping the sheet around herself.
"So your still here, that's a good sign." Holly said as she climbed back into bed next to Gail.
Gail raised her eyebrows. "Yes I'm still here. Sorry was I supposed to disappear in the middle of the night? Is that what all the others do?" She said half jokingly.
"Yeah, I expect you all to be gone in the morning." Holly said with a smirk. "I just thought you might feel a little bit pressured. I didn't want to rush you into anything because I thought it might all be too much too soon. But when you literally pounced me last night I couldn't exactly say no."
"Yeah, the green eyed monster appeared I'm afraid." The blonde said, sipping on her coffee.
"Green eyed monster?"
"Oh, it was just something Chris said. It doesn't matter."
"Nooo, what did Chris say?" Holly said, turning to look at Gail.
Gail sighed. "It's stupid really. He just kept saying how hot you were and asking if you were single."
Holly raised her eyebrow.
"I didn't like it okay." Gail said.
"Oh so you only jumped into bed with me because of that." Holly said looking a little hurt.
Gail suddenly realised that the words coming out of her mouth were a little misleading. "No, no. What I mean is, it really got to me. He was talking about you like you were available and it pissed me off. I don't want you to be available. I want you to be mine. I don't want anyone else thinking they've got a chance with you and it was that point that realised that I really wanted to do this. I wanted to take it all the way."
"Okay that sounds a lot better than what you originally said."
Gail sighed a breath of relief.
Holly put her mug down, reaching over and taking Gail's out of her hand and placing it on her bed side table. She reached her arm around Gail's waist, pulling her so that the blonde was lying on top of her. With one hand still around her waist, Holly reached up with the other, cupping Gail's face and kissing her softly. The stayed this way for a few minutes, kissing slowly. When Gail pulled away she pressed their foreheads together. She could tell that everything was different with Holly. She was genuinely happy. There were no games, no lies and no insecurities. She realised that she might be falling for this woman. Gail shook her head, attempted to rid the thoughts from her head. She didn't want to fall so quickly. With that she gave Holly a final kiss and sauntered her way to the bathroom, completely naked. Holly couldn't quite believe how lucky she was in that moment. The most beautiful woman she had ever met, was currently making her way from her bed, to her bathroom, naked. Holly's mouth was slightly agape when Gail shot her a look over her shoulder.
"You going to come and show me how to use this shower?" Gail asked.
Holly didn't even need to respond, she climbed out of bed as fast as humanly possible and followed Gail into the bathroom.
The two of them spent the day together as they didn't have to be at work and neither had any other plans. Gail spent most of the day padding around in Holly's apartment in nothing but a over sized shirt of Holly's. Gail was in the kitchen, looking through the cupboards for something to eat when she heard Holly's phone ring. Holly bundled out of the bedroom in a short silk robe, barely covering anything. Gail wasn't really spying however she could hear Holly's side of the phone conversation.
Holly was walking around her apartment, phone in hand. "Hello… oh hellooo… no I've got the day off today… I'm not always working…" Gail smirked at this. "Yeah well I'm a busy girl… this afternoon?... I can't sorry I've got plans… No nothing important I guess, just seeing a friend… no mom just a friend… I'm not talking about this now." Holly said laughing down the phone. "No, no ones here… You can't tell I'm lying by the sound of my breathing… I'm going, I'll ring you tomorrow okay… Yeah I love you too, bye."
Holly put the phone back and turned around to find Gail leaning on her kitchen counter, watching her intently.
"Yes?" Holly asked.
"I'm no one am I?" Gail asked teasing Holly.
Holly tilted her head to the side smiling. She made her way over to where Gail was, pressing her against the counter, her hands falling on Gail's hips. "You, are definitely not no one." Holly said before kissing Gail.
Gail wrapped her arms around Holly's neck. "Yeah well I am pretty awesome. I take it that was your mother?"
"Yeah. She just wanted to know If I would meet her for lunch." Holly replied.
"She knew I was here though right?"
"Well she could tell someone was here."
"How?"
"She said I sounded far too happy."
Gail laughed at this. "But she doesn't know about me specifically?" She didn't know whether she was glad for this or a little hurt.
"Well I think I may have mentioned your name once but she doesn't know about any of this."
Gail didn't say anything, just pulled a knowing face.
"Maybe I'll tell her someday." Holly said shrugging her shoulders. She didn't want to scare Gail off.
"Yeah maybe." Gail said with a slight smile.
Gail was at work the next morning so when it got pretty late she decided to go home. She missed Holly as soon as stepped into her empty apartment. Dov and Chris were no where to be seen, so Gail went straight to bed got ready for bed and lay down in her empty, cold bed. The first thing she thought about doing as texting Holly, so she did.
'I'm home. Missing me yet?' Gail text.
'Pffft, Not one bit. You must be missing me and my awesome sex though?'
'Woah who said it was awesome?'
'Well then if that's how you feel I'm cutting you off.'
'… I take it back.'
'Thought you might :P I had a really nice weekend.'
'Me too nerdy cakes. You know how to keep a girl occupied ;)'
'And you know how to keep a girl happy.'
'Im gonna get some sleep after my busy weekend. I'll speak you tomorrow. Peace out Nerdling.'
'Goodnight Gail, sweet dreams.'
The next day Gail was waiting for parade with everyone when Chris leaned over Gail to Traci who was sat in the next to her. "Gail's seeing somebody." Chris said very to the point.
Gail looked round to Chris with a shocked expression on her face. "Excuse me?" She said.
"What's this?" Traci asked.
"Gail's seeing somebody." Chris repeated. "She hasn't been home all weekend. Plus she's far too happy."
"Gail… who is he?" Traci asked with a smirk on her face.
"No one, there is no he and Chris should mind his own business." Gail said shoving him in the arm.
"Oh Gail's got it bad." Traci teased.
At that point Gail's phone buzzed, she took a quick look at it under the table. It was from Holly of course. 'Have a good day. Try not to fantasise about me too much today ;)'
Gail didn't respond, but she couldn't help the smile that spread across her face.
"That's him isn't it?" Traci asked.
"You can mind your own too." Gail said as she got up and moved to another seat.
This was going to be a long day.
