Hey guys, sorry for the long wait again. As you know, I was dealing with a situation similar to Tori's. But I don't get a happy ending. My "Jade" doesn't have feelings for me, so I've been dealing with that lately. And school has been kicking my ass. I apologize again, I hope to update more of my stories this weekend, if not, I apologize in advance. Thanks for your patience.
Chapter 4: Beck and Jade Break Up
Sinjin forced us all into appearing on his game show "Queries for Couples", and this is where Jade and Beck plummeted.
They had been fighting a lot to begin with, but this really egged them on. They fought the whole time, and ruined the show. Andre, Cat, Robbie, and I all decided that we should hang out without them for a while until they sort things out.
After the show, we headed to my house to play a game or two of cards and have a relaxing evening with no drama. But we got drama.
Beck and Jade came over, and Beck was furious that we were hanging out without them because all they do is fight. Which is true, we all hate it when they are in a war, we all some how get dragged into it. And once again that was happening.
They both questioned their relationship, and some harsh words were said. Jade got angry, and turned to go outside and said if Beck didn't come out to drive her home in 10 seconds, they were over and stormed out.
Trina jumped at this opportunity. Literally, she jumped on Beck while he was heading for the door. We managed to pull her off, yet Beck hesitated and didn't go outside.
It was over.
And I couldn't be any happier. I know it's a terribly selfish thing to say, but Jade was single. All I had to do was support her and hopefully get her to see me in a new perspective. I felt awful though, knowing she had to walk home, so I called her that evening.
*Flashback
"What do you want Vega?!" Jade spat bitterly on the other line, causing a shiver to run down my spine.
"Uh-hey Jade, I just wanted to know if you got home alright considering-"
"I know what happened Vega, don't speak of it! Are you just calling to rub in the fact that Beck will be all over you in a few days? Because I don't wanna hear it." A hint of jealously was in Jade's voice.
"No, of course not! I don't like him like that. He's like a brother." I explained.
"Really?" Jade asked quietly.
"Yes, I would never date a friend's ex."
"You're not my friend." Jade responded in her monotone voice.
I rolled my eyes, taking in a deep breath. "Alright Jade, but if you need anything we're all here for you."
There was a few long moments of deafening silence, and I heard Jade sigh into the phone, as if debating what to say. "Thanks." She murmured, and the line went dead.
*End of flashback.
After our conversation I had went to bed, until I heard a car pull up on my driveway in the middle of the night. Figuring it was Trina arriving home from a late night party she wasn't even invited to, I rolled over and snuggled more underneath my warm blankets and tried to resume my slumber. I listened to the wind rustle the leaves on the tree outside my window, and I closed my eyes once more in attempt to sleep.
However my window soon opened with a creak, causing me to sit up in my bed and try to make out the dark figure creeping into my room. I put on my glasses and the light, not expecting to see Jade West standing there looking back.
"Jade, what the hell are you doing?!" I asked in my groggy state, sounding like a dying animal.
"I'm in your room, talking to you stupid. I thought you were smart Vega." She replied simply, closing the window. "Windy night." She commented as if this situation was completely normal.
"Why are you here at-" I paused to glance at my clock. "3 AM?"
"I was thinking." Jade said, plopping down on my bed.
"About?" I asked, pushing my glasses up farther on my nose, taking in the sight of Jade. She was wearing her leather jacket and a tight blouse, her cheeks obviously tear stained but not matching her expression right now.
"You." Jade replied, looking sheepishly down at her lap. This was an odd side of her, she seemed almost shy, and not overly brassy as usual.
"Me? Why would you be thinking about me?" I asked, trying to read what the hell was going with Jade.
"You know, never mind, this was stupid for me to come here. Just- I'm sorry." Jade said, standing and ready to run away. I quickly grabbed her wrist, "No, Jade. Stay. I'm not letting you go. You can talk to me, you know that."
Jade didn't look at me, she looked down at my hand on her wrist and a small smile was found on her lips.
"Alright." She said, her voice barely above a whisper and soon a warm pair of lips were pressed against mine.
My eyes widened and my heart nearly leapt out of my chest, my hands automatically wrapping around her neck. I kissed her back, slowly and timidly. This was actually happening. I felt so dirty, here I was kissing Jade the day she and her boyfriend, my best friend, broke up.
But it felt so right, like there was nothing existent except for me and her. Our bodies meshed together perfectly, her warmth filling me with utter joy, love, and security. Even at 3 AM with my messed up hair and mustache pajamas, it was the most romantic kiss I ever had.
But nothing would ever be the same after this.
