AN: In the style of Lancer: GREAT GATSBY! I forgot this story! The last year has been pretty crazy so I haven't really gotten the chance to write at all! Well, I had some Homestuck drabbles I put up, but other than that I had little to no creative writing time! But I have returned!

Thanks to all you reviewers and your wonderful comments :D Really makes my day to see people appreciated this. Here's to hope you all still will.

Without further ado, the chapter!

"Hey, Alex."

"Yeah? What's up Whitmore?"

"I've uh… I've been meaning to ask this for awhile now."

"Well go ahead we have all the time in the world right now."

"That's the thing. You do have a motorcycle right?"

"And what exactly are you implying?"

"We're walking. Why would that be?"

"Do you have money for gas? Because that would be totally cool."

Lucy huffed as her and her partner walked through the city an hour before school started. The DWMA paid certain expenses, but Alex and Lucy had splurged a bit on food this week. This led to no gas for the bike and no wants until they got money back. At least they had managed to pay the first month's bills, so that was always nice. And even though Lucy complained about having to walk everywhere, she honestly enjoyed walking through the city with Alex and his eccentricities. Like the way he would blatantly pull out that certain jewelers' wares were fake gems and people would flee the store and the shop owner would threaten him. One flash of his teeth and the angry clerk would back off. Not to mention his Russian accent began fading, and he began to sound more like an Englishman, like when he was little. But now, because of said Russian accent not being as heavy, it blended together with the English accent that sounded something similar to an Australian accent.

"Crikey, I never realized that these stairs were so bloomin' huge. Bigger than most crocs in the outback, Shirley." Alex cracked a smile as Lucy giggled at him acting like a nature guide he had seen on TV once or twice. They had done this since the accent change every single time they passed the school and it never stopped brightening her day. He was glad for that.

"Not as big as the detention we'll get if we're late!" Lucy began singing as she started running up the stairs, noticing that Alex waited a short while before passing her up and reaching the courtyard-like area an entire minute before her.

"You really underestimate me, don't you?" Alex joked as she began breathing heavily and he looked toward her. He made the mistake at looking at her for more than a few moments after that.

She was bent over breathing heavily, lightly covered in sweat because of the heat. The shirt she wore today hung loosely on her and at Alex's angle, he could see quite a bit. There were definitely girls with more cleavage but she actually looked attractive while most of the other girls looked slutty when put in the same situation. And unfortunately for Alex's safety, he had been spotted.

There was short click followed by at least a dozen bangs. People inside the school had automatically assumed Death the Kid was fighting someone, as many people challenged him throughout the day. Some people looked, and the scene the observed was rather comical. Naturally this spread to the other classes. Soul and Maka had just walked into class when the crowd began to when people had begun taking pictures and making bets. Black*Star, being the big man he was, had put the most money down.

"Hey. What's going on?" Soul asked, already tired even though he had just walked in.

"I am too big to be a commentator, Soul. But see for yourself." Black*Star responded with his usual form of retort while jabbing a thumb at the window.

Soul and Maka casually went over and both began to panic at the sight outside of the window: Alex was running around, bleeding from his nose, while his Weapon seemed to be chasing him with a demonic look in her eyes. That plus a barrel and magazine attached to her arm, and a steady stream of bullets, even Soul had laughed with the rest of the class before Maka got out The Lord of The Rings trilogy set and whacked him with it. After he woke up from his 'nap', he sighed as he stood up and walked outside hoping to calm down the two so they weren't late to class.

"I always have to bail him out. How uncool", Soul remarked before going to mediate the situation. Maka followed only because she knew her partner all too well.

Sure enough, when she arrived she saw Soul crumpled near the floor laughing hysterically, as Alex had just explained the situation to him while dodging his angry Weapon's assault. During this time she decided bullets were too easy a punishment and switched to cleaver mode.

"Damn, you are beyond screwed, bro." Soul remarked in between his chuckles, as he stood up.

Noticing Maka before Soul did, Alex responded accordingly. "At least I actually have something to look at!" A thunk sounded near Alex's head as he barely dodged Lucy's assault. Her blade had gotten stuck in one of the pillars in the entryway.

"Well, that's true-" A really hard THWACK sounded from behind Soul as Tolkien said hello to his cranium.
