June 21, 2:35 P.M. United States Supreme Court, Courtroom No. 12

The judge's gavel came down with a crash.

He announced, "It is now time to announce the verdicts for the defendants. Shelly de Killer II, the jury has decided that your guilt has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Your punishment by the law of this country is that you will be placed in front of a wall and will be shot by a firing squad until you are dead. Your execution will take place on the 11th of July, 2019. And may God rest your soul."

He turned to the now sweating and nervous Iate Digoxin.

"You have also been found Guilty of the charges that have been brought against you. But since you pleaded Guilty, Mr. Digoxin, your sentence has been reduced. If you had pleaded Not Guilty, you would have been sentenced to death by lethal injection. Instead, your age and plea has let us reach an acceptable sentence. You will be admitted to the Grover Cleveland Hospital for the Criminally Insane for 2 years, followed by life imprisonment, with parole possible in 8 years."

The judge ordered, "Mr. Dawson, would you please escort Mr. de Killer and Mr. Digoxin out of the courtroom?"

The police officer answered, "Yes, Your Honor."

He led both men out of the room.

The judge said, "Now that these men have been sentenced, you are free to leave the courtroom. Counsel, thank you for your time. Jurors, also, thank you for being here for this month-long trial. Court is now adjourned!" He banged the gavel, and the doors opened. People began exiting the room, looking forward to the rest of their days.

June 21, 2:40 P.M. Wright and Co. Law Offices

Phoenix watched the television, with a somber look on his face. Maya also looked into the TV, before turning it off. They both sat on the bed, and said nothing, staring at each other.

The attorney sighed, "Maya, you know what I don't get?"

She asked, "What's that, Nick?"

He replied, "Whatever happened to Randall after the trial ended? I mean, we've not heard from him since then. Did he get re-hired by Amtrak? Did he go find another job? Was he killed by the Mad Bomber? What happened?!"

Maya yelled, "Nick! Randall's not going to end up on the side of a milk carton! He's probably fine, having a good time out there, someplace in Los Angeles!"

Just then, there was a knock on the door of the law office. Phoenix said, "I'll get it. Heading for the door, hoping not to meet a medical examiner or a salesman, he pried the door open.

The man outside said, "Mr. Wright, how do you do?"

Phoenix stared at the man. He was wearing a black suit with a lapel pin that said "AMTRAK" with the name "R. KLEIN" underneath it. A black hat, similar to what police officers wear, was on his head, but it had the Amtrak logo on it.

Phoenix asked, "Randall?! How'd you get hired again?"

Randall explained, "Ah, it was nothing, Mr. Wright. After the trial, Peter Welsh realized his terrible mistake of firing me on the spot and hired me as train engineer. I know am at the helm of these bullet trains that run the main line. For being 23, I sure am a good captain..."

Maya, upon hearing the conversation, ran to talk to Randall as well. She asked, "Is it hard being a captain and all? You're running one of the fastest trains on the planet, after all. Those Shinkansens travel extremely fast, about 234 miles an hour."

He answered, "Those trains travel fast, but they are some of the safest in the world. That is, unless, you disable the controls and modify the track so that you crash into the District Court." Maya and Phoenix laughed hysterically, getting what he was trying to say.

Randall took a pocket watch out and opened it. He yelled, "Oh, boy! Look at the time! Next shift starts in 15 minutes! I'll bet there, passengers!"

He ran out the door. Maya giggled, "Hey Randall, don't forget to breathe! Take it slower once in a while!"

Phoenix looked at the conductor as he ran out into the street, while people looked at him as if he was crazy.

After shutting the door, the attorney returned into the lobby of the office. He went over to Maya, and asked her, "Do you think that Digoxin will get parole?"

She answered, "Of course not! How would the people down at where he's going let him go free, even after 8 years of prison? He committed genocide! He was like a Nazi!"

"You do have a point... after all, he was killing people in cold blood."

Maya admitted, "You know, Nick... the elders in Kurain submitted a bill to the U.S. Senate about making the 28th amendment... it would prevent discrimination by occupation. I wonder if it will ever be ratified."

Phoenix sighed, "Well, I hope it is. If not, then I will be a little discouraged. After all, it will prevent all of that hate speech that Digoxin made against you and many others. Hopefully, there will never be another Mad Bomber Saga."

He thought, "I surely hope that Maya, Pearl, Iris, and all of the other people who live in Los Angeles, the United States, and the whole Earth are safe. The world's most heinous bomber and the world's biggest leader of organized crime have been locked away, and the latter faces execution. I wonder what my next case will end up being. After all, they don't call me an 'ace attorney' for no reason."

Maya remarked, "Nick, I really enjoy it when we're in court, and you stick your finger at the wrongdoers and use your bluffing strategy. Could you please scream that one word again?"

Phoenix braced himself and muttered, "Here goes nothing..."

"OBJECTION!"
