So it's the Christmas season, so I'll do a Christmassy chapter! It's kinda a mish-mash of alot of things they'd do in the run up to Christmas. I'll do an Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New years Eve and New Years Day mish mash in early January, and remember guys, (Well, for the Brits anyway, not sure about the rest of ya) 1/1/14 Sherlock Series 3 airs :D Have fun reading this!

Decorations

John loved Christmas. He loved the spirit, the family attitude, and all the decorations and presents!

Sherlock didn't mind celebrating Christmas. He liked it when it was just a small gathering, but when john threw those ridiculous gathering of everybody they knew well... That he didn't like.

Animine always could smile at Christmas. Yes, in some ways it made her sad, for it reminded her of everything (or better put) everyone she didn't have. For as a child orphaned at birth, a time where family gatherings happened didn't appeal to her as much as it did John. But as a friend, she could (and had) learned to love the festive holiday.

John had demanded to Sherlock they go out a buy decorations for the flat. Sherlock, as always had refused and Animine had amused herself by watching the pair squabble.

"Sherlock! It's once a year, please?"

"No John, it's boring and tedious."

"You didn't say that last year."

"This year is different."

Animine could sense if not dealt with quickly, the pair would each sulk for the rest of the week. Sometimes, she had to agree with Mycroft; they could be such children!

"Alright alright, shush, the both of you! Lets all just go out and buy the damned decorations, and Sherlock can come if he wants." She said, getting up and getting her coat. John went to shrug his on, and, begrudgingly, Sherlock went to get on his. The three of them eventually left to get the decorations, and now the topic was what type of decorations to get!

Putting the decorations up was fun. They'd put a tree in the corner, and John had just finished applying tinsel to that whilst Sherlock started to hang on baubles. The three of them had tinsel wrapped around the top of their heads, and were laughing as they threw various Christmassy decorations at eachother to put up around the flat. Animine was stood on a chair hanging snowflakes from the ceiling, when Sherlock dropped the bauble he was holding and ran past her into the kitchen.

"What is he doing now?" John asked, but turned and put a large star on the top of the tree.

Sherlock came back five minutes later with a powder in his hands, which he spread all over the snowflakes Animine was putting on the ceiling and the star John had put on top of the tree.

"Sherlock? What are you doing?" John asked, but didn't get an answer as Sherlock had now gone over to the light switch, and turned the lights out.

"What are you doing?" John asked again, and even Animine had raised an eyebrow, but now they could see. Sherlock had put some kind of glow-in-the dark chemical on all the snowflakes and the stars, so they looked like real stars and snowflakes, shimmering away.

"Wow. That's amazing, Sherlock." John said, grinning.

Sherlock nodded. "Simple phosphorescent chemical compounds, John."

Animine smiled. "Yes, quite amazing." She said, and the grabbed the box of powder, blowing it over Sherlock and John.

"Hey! Give that here!" John demanded playfully as the clothes he and Sherlock were wearing started to glow.

The trio chased eachother all over the flat then, each getting powder on themselves in some way. And all could admit, that was quite...fun!

Christmas Cards

A few days later, John had persuaded Animine and Sherlock to write Christmas Cards to everyone they knew. With the three of them doing it, they should be able to get them done easily, John had said.

"We have to send one to Anderson?" Sherlock said in disgust as he looked at the list John had made of the people they knew.

"Yes Sherlock, it's courteous."

"You're doing him them. And Sally."

"Fine, but you'll have to do Mycroft."

"Mycroft? Mycroft won't even glance at it!"

"It's still courteous Sherlock."

Sherlock sighed, shaking his head and starting to write inside of the card. John got on with writing Anderson, Sally, and Harry's, and Animine did Mrs Hudson and Lestrade.

Despite the fact John and Animine had to write more cards, they finished first. Sherlock was still writing as they put theirs in a pile. "Sherlock? Are you finished yet?"

"Just about." He said.

Animine took it from Sherlock, and read it out before he could refuse.

"To Mycroft,

I don't want to be writing this. John is forcing me. I know you won't read it anyway. I don't even think the British Government has time to celebrate Christmas. Christmas is boring. Well. Boring enough.

Merry Christmas!

That little slogan in the middle of the car is a waste of ink. A waste of ink for two words printed in black on the middle of the page by the company because most people are to lazy to write it themselves. Does that include you, Brother?

From, Sherlock, John and Animine

P.S. And as you won't be getting another word out of me, Happy New Year.

Sherlock folded his arms, sighing. "What was the point in this exercise?"

Both Animine and John smirked. "Courteous!"

Sherlock rolled his eyes, but a smile didn't go a miss, tugging on his lips.

Maybe if I get the time I'll do a Christmas Case!
