Dear Mum and Dad,

Something rather amazing happened today – I'm officially the Seeker for Gryffindor's quidditch team! Professor McGonagall mumbled something about me following dad's footsteps, and I did feel a little proud as she said so. Everywhere I go, I am constantly reminded of how I have your messy hair, dad, and your green eyes, mum, and a part of me longs to have seen that for myself. My lessons are very interesting as well, though there's no way I'm topping any class; and I have a friend, Ron Weasley. I wonder if you knew his parents when they were at Hogwarts. Perhaps they studied with you? Oh, and if you could tell me anything about Professor Snape and why he seems to hate me so much, I would be very grateful.
