They kept her in a small room for the whole night. No one bother to talk to her or even look at her. The only time she was in contact with a person was when a girl came in to bring her some food. She felt like she was in solitary confinement. The only thing in the room was a bed frame that held a small twin size mattress, it had stuffing popping from various holes in the fabric and multi coloured stains. It smelled but it was Rachel's only sense of comfort. There were no windows in the room, so she couldn't tell what time it might've been, but she could estimate that she's been in there for at least a few hours. It was probably dark out and everyone was probably getting ready for bed but she couldn't fall asleep even if she wanted to. Everything was so strange and so new yet familiar to her. The maze she recalled the blonde girl tell her, what did she mean? Ever since she woke up in that metal box, she had this never ending feeling of dread, like something terrible was going to happen. Across from her the whole wall was marked up from crayons, markers, carvings with strange words and images. There were so many that they started to overlap to where Rachel couldn't tell where one picture ended and where one ended. Through all the madness of this wall Rachel could only make out a few words that were legible: WICKED, DEATH, MAZE, GRIEVERS, FOREVER. On the very corner of the wall there was a drawing in faded, thick black, marker, it looked like a strange mutated animal with knives coming from it's back. It looked like something familiar, but couldn't remember the name for it. However, it made her stomach turn and a small goosebumps rise from her skin. She was so focused on the wall that she didn't notice the dark hair girl come with running shoes in her hand.
"Follow, me." she said as she handed me the running shoes. "I'm going to show you the maze."
I know this chapter was a little boring and I haven't posted in like a year, but I promise it will get better! I have many ideas for later and you aren't going to want to miss it! I JUST NEEDED TO PUT THIS PART IN TO FOR FORESHADOWING!
