Chapter 4

"WHY THE FUCK IS SHIPPO A FEMALE?!" Inuyasha yelled at the top of his lungs, causing the demon hearing to ring in pain.

"INUYASHA! OSUWARI!" he came crashing into the ground with his mouth first, much to Kagome's pleasure.

Naru looked at Shippo with a sympathetic look and patted her head. "Don't worry aneki, I know how that feels. Damn right I lived through it in two lifetimes! No wonder your scent was funny" she grinned causing Shippo to scowl further.

Sesshomaru inwardly groaned as Shippo began to struggle slightly to break away from her mother's seal but to no avail.

Kagome smirked cheekily at the pair before putting on a serious face, "Sesshy, I know my pup is sexy and beautiful, but if you lust over her, you'll be coming through me first. And a whole lot of hell." She warned. Causing the inu Daiyoukai to glare at her.

"This Sesshomaru does not lust over the kitsune." He stated. This time it was Shippo's turn to glare at him. "Oh? Why? Because I'm not good enough for you is that it? Well at least we all know that I could kick your sorry ass a hundred times over if mama hadn't interfered!"

"Shut up!" Kagome yelled.

"Now the two of you will stay that way until you learn to stand each other. And Jaken, you better zip that kappa mouth of yours or you will have non to yap at."

Kagome then turned her attention to Rin who looked slightly afraid but when Kagome smiled, she smiled back.

"Are you Kagome-sama that always travels with Sesshomaru-sama's younger brother?" she asked innocently and Kagome nodded as an answer.

"Come Rin, you will travel with us now." She smiled at the human child who squealed excitedly and placed her hand in Kagome's waiting hand.

Kagome glanced at the dragon and raised her arm towards the dragon as if waiting for their reaction. The dragon tilted their head to the side and slowly moved towards Kagome.

They sniffed her open palm for a while and then when her scent hit their memories, they instantly licked her hand and nuzzled it. Then they moved to nuzzle both side of her neck and licked her cheeks causing Kagome to go into a fit of giggles.

"Ah, Un, I need you to carry Sesshy and Shippie... Is that alright? Can you do it?" she asked with a smile. Both dragons' head looked at each other before nodding at her and walked to the imprisoned youkais. Kagome pointed her open palm to the two and raised it to AhUn.

Shippo and Sesshomaru were raised and placed on AhUn by Kagome through telekinesis. Kagome turned to walk away when she remembered the annoying kappa that was still trembling with fear at the boulder. She sighed and walked to Jaken.

She stared down at the kappa and squat to his eye level. "Jaken-sama, I apologize for threatening you that way. I just dislike the way you try to suck up to Sesshomaru. Yes, he is your lord. But you are supposed to be his helper, his advisor. Therefore, do not be blinded because nobody is perfect, even Sesshomaru." she stared straight into her eyes and saw that he stopped trembling.

Tears pooled in his eyes. "Kagome-sama apologized to me! It should be Jaken who should apologize to you! Please forgive this low-"he was cut off again by Kagome.

"You need to stop that Jaken. You deserve every respect anybody does. Do not degrade yourself. Come now, you are part of this pack. Act like it. Be proud and do not go down without a fight." She stood up and walked off, waiting for him to follow her.

The kappa instantly wiped his tears and grabbed his staff and darted off to follow Kagome.

"Where are we heading Kagome-sama?" Rin asked.

"We're going to find my wolf buddy in his den in the eastern lands." Kagome could feel Rin stiffened and her facial expression paled rapidly.

Kagome's eyes narrowed down and she did a few hand signs.

Memory lane: Show me her past. Kagome said inwardly and she found herself in Rin's past.

She walked through the small garden where her memories flashed through her mind. Kagome growled inwardly when she saw the reason why she was afraid of wolf youkais.

She then dispelled the magic and bent down to put her arms around Rin and carried her. "Don't worry Rin-chan, I won't let any wolves touch you. You have my word." She assured. Surprisingly, Rin found comfort and security in her words and she nodded her head with a beaming smile.

It was evening by the time they reached Kouga's den and she ordered the pack to wait for her at the bottom of the mountain as she went up to meet him with Rin on her shoulder.

"Naru, watch her for me." She said after much thought and placed Rin in her arms. Naruko nodded her head and watched her mother's retreating back as she ascended to the cave in the mountain.

Kagome was welcomed with an attack and growls from the females of the pack.

"Who are you?!" they demanded.

Kagome sighed and released her youki and called out to Kouga, "Kouga! Get out here! I need to talk to you!" she growled, unmasking her scent.

As the familiar scent traveled into the cave, a rush of wind and a tornado appeared before her to reveal Kouga who was grinning at her! "KAGOME!" he hugged her tightly.

Kagome chuckled and hugged him back. "Hey Kouga. How have you been? Where's Ayame and the pups?" she asked grinning.

In this timeline, Kouga was not pursuing her as a mate. Rather, he followed her advice to mate with Ayame who was a better choice for him. Since then, they have become a family. Ayame was like a younger sister to her and Kouga was like a brother to her.

Despite all that, Inuyasha still thought that the wolf was pursuing her to be his mate. What a dunce~

"They're not here. Ayame took the kids out to hunt. She's giving them light training." He grinned at her and she smiled at him happily.

A growl from the new female wolves got their attention and instantly Kagome growled back with her youki overpowering them. Instantly, they quiet down to a small whine before vanishing deeper into the cave.

Kouga gave her a sheepish smile. "Sorry 'bout that aneki. New pack members aren't aware of your status in our pack." he growled softly.

Kagome waved her hand dismissively. "Don't worry about that. Now, I came here for a reason. And that reason is, I need your shards Kouga. After this I'll be going on a merry hunt for the others and when all that is left is the ones with Naraku, I'll send a messenger for you alright?" she explained in one breath.

Kouga whined slightly but the glare from Kagome was enough to shut him up as he bent to grab the shards from his right leg and placed it into her open palm.

Kagome nodded her head with satisfaction and tiptoed to give him a peck on the cheek and waved her hand. She jumped down from the cave entrance and landed swiftly on a loud and yapping Inuyasha's head.

"Bravo mama! A full ten out of ten I give ya!" Naruko grinned. Kagome chuckled and gave her a wink.

"Come on you lazy asses! We gotta go!" Naru yapped as she poked AhUn and tried to pry Jaken off of her leg.

Kagome looked at her with a questioning look. "I just showed him I could summon toads and he was excited saying he wants to meet his kind again." Naru admitted regretfully causing the silver inu youkai to burst out laughing.
