Mustafar: Arctic Magma Conversion Plant: 09:02 p.m.

Doom finished downloading all the necessary data into his armour. As he stood up and stretched, he noticed Force Susan was looking at the frozen Stormtroopers. Doom became a little wary of something.

"What are you looking at?" He asked , impatiently.

Force Susan was smiling slightly. "They are not dead. Isn't that wonderful?"

Doom raised a scarred eyebrow. He looked a little closer at one of them to see a small trickle of water slid down the surface of the ice. Then without warning, the ice shattered! Doom and Force Susan jumped backwards, sheilding themselves from the lethal ice shards! The Stormtroopers burst out of their watery prison and fired their guns at the pair! Red energy spread all over the place, singeing the walls with black carbon and bouncing off the metal work!

Doom fired several purple lasers repeatedly from all his fingertips. They too bounced off metal and blackened the walls. Force Susan merely stood there, sheilding herself from harm. A Stormtrooper was hit with one of Doom's lasers and was knocked three feet backwards, knocking over two more. The others converged on Doom's location, lasers flying all over!

Doom grew weary of this debacle, and held his hands in front of him. The metal gauntlets opened at the sides, revealing many electrical sockets that buzzed with blue lightning. A split second later the room was filled with blue electricity, zapping everything, and short circuiting computers. Doom couldn't hear the warning alarm over the screams of troopers. The magma shield had been destroyed by Doom's attack, and now the heat was rising fast!

S.H.I.E.L.D. Hellicarrier; Somewhere above Manhattan: 10:15 p.m.

Iron Man, Johnny Storm, Ben Grimm, Dr. Strange, Thor, Captain America, Wolverine, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, and Hank Pym all stood looking at Palleon's slumbering form. None of them had been able to figure out where he had come from yet.

"There is only one thing we haven't tried yet." Iron Man said.

He turned towards Dr. Strange expectantly. Dr. Strange shook his head.

"No! What you are asking me to do is something I cannot do! It could erase his memory and no one deserves such a fate!" He said hurriedly.

"And this is a matter of possible national security!" Iron Man shouted.

"Not to mention he hurt Reed and made it so my sister got teleported away with a maniacal nutcase!" Johnny bellowed.

Everybody was now looking at Dr. Strange. Fury lit a cigar and smoked it. Strange finally gave in.

"Very well." He said. "I shall search his mind for answers. But I hold you responisible if something is to happen to him while I am doing so!"

He placed his hand gingerly on Palleon's forehead and invoked the power of the powers beyond. Soon he was in the man's mind, seeing all he had done in the last couple of months. Weird creatures, odd looking soldiers, huge ships, lava, light, Reed Richards, vomit, shouting orders, The Infinity Gauntlet-

"What the-?" Strange cried.

Suddenly he was hit with a whiplash of information! Assassinations, giant space battles, a blue man with red eyes, an old man, lightning, cloning chambers, energy swords, and betrayal!

Palleon's eyes fluttered open! He pressed the button on his disruptor he had prepared in case he was captured, and everyone but Palleon himself held their ears, and dropped to their knees! He ran for it, going through the corridors of the Hellicarrier, attempting to find an exit, and disrupting anyone who tried to stop him!

Iron Man was the first to recover. "YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY!" He yelled.

He took off on his rocket boosters and flew at high speed through the corridors, following Palleon's heat trail!

Thor recovered next and followed after Iron Man. The two folllowed Palleon up to the deck, and when they thought they had caught him, he jumped! Iron Man and Thor were both taken aback, but recovered quickly and jumped down after him!

Palleon looked back to see the invincible Iron Man and the mighty Thor flying after him. But they would never catch him! A F-22 plane with the S.H.I.E.L.D. Emblem on it flew below him, catching him quickly, throwing his pursuers off balance. He disrupted the pilot, causing him to barrel roll into a glass building, which Palleon jumped into before the plane exploded!

Iron Man and Thor flew quickly in after him! Glass, paperwork, and people flew everywhere, screaming, and running in all directions as the daring duo dashed through the air after Palleon.

"Have at Thee!" Thor cried out as he flung Mjolnir full speed at the Imperial Admiral.

Palleon heard the crackle of lightning a second and a half before it hit him, and ducked so it flew right over him and out the other end of the building! He took off towards the elevator, sweating now, thinking he may not make it!

As he pressed the button, he heard Thor call back his hammer, and Iron Man fired a repulsor ray at Palleon, which barely missed him by half an inch! The elevator dinged and he got in pressing the close button cutting off the pursuit! When the door was closed, he relaxed a little.

"How is it he knew where the elevator's were?" Iron Man asked, astounded.

"Perhaps, he hath lived here before!" Thor suggested.

"He sure acts like it." Iron Man concluded.

Thor nodded. "I will cut him off at the bottom of this fragile tower. You my friend must ask the sorcerer if something went wrong with the procedure."

Iron Man nodded and headed back to the Hellicarrier. Thor swung his hammer and a bolt of lightning hit him and he was gone!

Mustafar: Arctic Magma Conversion Plant: 09:10 p.m.

"The teleporter isn't functioning!" Doom shouted in anger.

The magma was rising slowly to the plant, and the heat was becoming unbearable! Force Susan, although sweating, didn't seem to be bothered.

"It won't work now." She said. "You've accidently disabled it with that electricity."

Doom smacked his head! How could he have been so naïve?

"We must leave and find transportation, there is a large shuttle on a landing platform about a mile from our location." He said. "Let's go!"

The two ran out the nearest exit and were almost burned alive by a wave off lava! Discarding this event, they continued to run as the out of control forces swirled around them! A giant lava meteor landed in front of them, snapping the bridge in half! They fell for a couple feet, and Doom activated his jet boots and Force Susan merely rode on her invisible force field back up to the platform. They continued to fly the rest of the way, avoiding shoots of magma and fire, and keeping away from falling debris! The Lambda Shuttle lay just ahead, but the platform was giving out!

"Hurry!" Doom shouted, climbing aboard.

Both got into the shuttle, and Doom took the pilot's seat.

"You know how to fly this machine?" Force Susan asked.

"I downloaded a lot more than the information on the Infinity Gaunlet! Strap in!" Doom shouted.

With that, Doom flicked several switches, pulled back on the throttle and the shuttle took off, wings folding out into flying position! They took off just in time, as the platform fell into the searing orange magma below.

Mustafar Orbit: 09:20 p.m.

Doom set the shuttle on auto-pilot, and relaxed a little. He turned to look at Force Susan. She was quietly meditating in the back seat.

"What is it that keeps you so calm?" Doom asked. He was becoming increasingly interested in this new Susan Richards.

"I feel no emotion." She said. "There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force."

Doom felt as if he had just heard the mad ravings of a crazed philosopher, yet he felt enlightened by these words.

"They are not my own principles, but the principles of the Jedi. The Sith also have a code that I try not to follow." She continued.

Doom was about to persist, when the ship rattled violently!

"What the-?" Doom said, turning back to the viewpoint.

What he saw stunned him. The gray, triangular shape of an Imperial Star Destroyer!
