Stark Tower: Manhattan: 8:15 a.m.
Johnny Blaze sat down on a black leather chair, no longer on fire for the moment. Thor and Silver Surfer sat across from him, talking about how he found them.
"My cosmic awareness is no where near that of the Surfer's, but it is there." Blaze said. "And I know why you need my help."
"You know of the theft of the Infinity Gauntlet and who has died?" Thor asked.
"Of course I know of your deceased friends. I'm the Ghost Rider, I can sense when people die. Also, I know of the place where the Infinity Gauntlet now is."
Thor and Silver Surfer's dropped jaws were gapping maws, anxiousness to go get it filling their eyes. Blaze stood up and stretched slightly.
"But the only person who could get us there is dead, and your hammer can no longer transport across dimensions, can it, Thunder God?" He said.
Thor nodded quickly, unhappy with how much the demon knew. Silver Surfer stood up as well.
"Reed Richards can create a dimensional transporter." He said. "It was recently destroyed, but if he and a few others got together I'm sure we can rebuild it and find the Gauntlet."
Blaze nodded. He seemed unsurprised but also looked pretty impressed.
"Very well," He said, transforming back into the Ghost Rider. "We'll go right now."
But as they were walking out the door, they nearly ran into Wolverine. The feral mutant stood in front of them, arms crossed.
"If you're going after that damn murdering freak," He said angrily. "You take me with...and I get to gut him myself!"
He was no longer in uniform, and wore a brown leather jacket with an orange double strip around the forearm of the right sleeve, and a white muscle shirt underneath. His belt had the X-men symbol on the buckle, and his blue jeans had holes in the knees.
Thor nodded, for he knew Wolverine's pain. He had been a good friend to Cap as well, but now they were gone. The four walked out of the huge tower, and into the rising morning sun, setting out for revenge.
Korriban Orbit: Imperial Star Destroyer: Unknown Time
Doom and Force Susan walked through the empty halls of the Destroyer, filled with cobwebs and rusted metal, and chewed and charred corpses. They were looking for a hanger with a functional ship to get them out of this haunted ghost ship. Doom was certain they were not alone, but he still coudn't see anyone or anything. That did not surprise him however since his adventure in the tomb.
Force Susan walked slowly behind him. Suddenly they heard a clatter of tools on the floor! They both whirled around and saw a Stormtrooper body strewn over a tool box that had busted open.
Doom walked slowly over to it, hand extended just slightly. Just as he was about to touch the body, it sprang up and bit down on his metal plated arm! Doom jumped back, shouting in surprise! He opened the gauntlet in the trooper's mouth, and let a thousand volts of electricity flow through the body of the cannibal. The trooper twitched but did not stop trying to chew through it! Doom unholstered the pistol from his belt, pushed it against the trooper's temple and fired! The trooper's head exploded in a ballon of blood and grey matter, painting the walls with red fluid and chunks of brains!
"I have never seen a dead body walk before." Force Susan said.
"I have." Doom grunted. "We need to leave, NOW!"
They took of running, Doom leading the way. All Destroyers were built with the same layout, and he had downloaded the map into his armor. They ducked and weaved through the corridors of the dead ship, and stopped cold when they turned a corner to see maybe a hundred zombified Imperials shifting aimlessly through the corridors! They backed away slowly, hoping none of them had seen them yet, but alas, they all turned simultaneously toward the living flesh, and charged!
Manaan Orbit: Imperial Super Star Destroyer: 4:00 a.m.
Palleon stood on the bridge of the newly constructed Super Star Destroyer. His mind was completely shocked at the miracles that he had performed! Thrawn stood next to him, looking out at deep space through those intense red eyes.
"Palleon, the army is still incomplete, as I have noticed." He said. "You are almost done however, we need more than old Sith Lords, Jedi Masters, and Stormtroopers."
"What else could I possibly need?" Palleon asked.
"Beasts, Palleon." Thrawn said. "Rancors, Wookies, Wampas, Sarlaacs, Sand Burrowers, Teretantiks, Hississ, and the like."
"How am I to control those beasts, though!" Palleon almost cried. "Plus, how do I get them here?"
Thrawn pointed to the Gauntlet. "The Reality Gem and the Space Gem will let you bring them aboard. The Mind Gem will let you control them indefinitely."
Palleon raised the Infinity Gauntlet up, closed his eyes, and envisioned every beast he could think of. Several of each. The Gauntlet glowed brightly, then dimed as the roars of several beasts and enslaved species filled the Destroyer.
"Now," Thrawn said, smiling cooly. "You are done."
Baxter Building: Manhattan: 9:00 a.m.
Reed Richards sat in a puffy chair in a body wrap. It didn't constrain his movement, but it hurt when he stretched. Ben and Johnny sat next to him on the couch. They were watching the news for any sign of Sue.
"-and in other news, the Red Hulk was defeated and apprehended this morning by the Thunderbolts. The member Songbird defeated him by-"
There was a buzz from the box by the door. Ben got up to answer it.
"Yeah? Who's there?" He said, pressing the button meant for him.
"Hello, Ben." A crackled voice sounded back.
"Is that you, Surfer?" Ben asked. "Ha, hang on I'll let ya in."
Johnny jumped up at the mention of the Surfer. Reed got up slowly. Ben ran down to answer the door, but when he opened it, not only was the Silver Surfer standing there, but Wolverine, Ghost Rider, and Thor as well.
"May we come in?" The Surfer asked.
A few minutes later, Everyone was sitting down talking. Reed was listening intently to what Norrin Radd was saying.
"And Galactus isn't even the worst of it." He said. "If the Infinity Gauntlet continues to be used in such large scales in another universe, it will merge with ours, causing a feedback loop that will crash the dimensions together, grinding them to dust! Their physics just don't meld with ours."
Reed was horrified. Not only did they have to worry about the World Eater, they now had to stop the two dimensions from coming to a crashing halt!
"And you want me to repair the teleporter so we can go stop this?" He asked to confirm.
The Surfer nodded.
Reed shook his head. "I'm in no position to do that as you can see, I can't stretch. I'd need help from other scientists!"
"Well, then it's a good thing we brought some." Wolverine said.
Surfer walked out on the balcony and beckoned someone up. A giant shadow showed up, blocking the sun out of the window. Yellowjacket looked inside with his hand extended and standing in it, was Beast, Professor X, Spider-man, Amadeas Cho, and Morbius the Living Vampire!
"Hey, Reed." Spider-man said, waving happily.
The smaller scientists stepped inside and Yellowjacket kept standing outside, keeping himself from stepping on people.
Reed was absolutely astounded. "W-well, I guess we can begin."
Unknown place: Unknown time
Galactus flew slowly, but majestically through space. The cosmic disturbance had dissappeared for now, but he still wanted to know the reason for his disturbance. It didn't take long before he came across a ship. It's length matched the width of his chest, and it was in the shape of a triangle, with many other parts of it stacking up to the bridge.
Palleon looked out the window of the Super Star Destroyer to see a huge humanoid in blue and purple armor of an odd design dwarf the Destroyer!
"GRAND ADMIRAL!" Palleon shouted at the top of his old lungs. "TROUBLE!"
