Suigetsu finally found a bar after about half an hour of searching. He didn't usually drink, but then again he didn't usually do many things that he now was. He pushed the door open and strolled in, taking a seat at the bar closest to the door. The room itself was mostly dark wood, with a few booths and dim lighting. The bartender approached Suigetsu, he was a meek looking old man, with white wisps of hair protruding from his balding head, and deep wrinkles in his face. He wore a worried frown and his apron covered his body. Suigetsu barely looked at him as he observed the rest of the room.

"I'll have sake." Suigetsu said, still not fully paying attention to the old man who stood opposite him.

The bar wasn't anywhere near what anyone would define as full, but there were still a few people hanging about in the booths, and they all looked very concerned at Suigetsu, who's clothes were blackened somewhat by the fire and he even still wore his giant sword on his back. Clearly this is not the most comforting thing to see. Suddenly, however, Suigetsu's train of thought was broken, as the old man spoke to him.

"Do you have any ID.?" The man said sacredly.

Suigetsu raised an eyebrow at him, offended by the man dare questioning him. "What do you mean, I don't need any f***ing ID."

The old man was scared now "I'm sorry sir but-"

Suigetsu was already sick of listening to the man, he stood up and reached over the bar, grabbing the old man by the collar of the shirt, pulling his face closer to Suigetsu's own.

"Oh man" Suigetsu said slowly, a hint of malevolence in his voice "you don't know how sorry you're going to be, if you don't get me that drink."

Suigetsu unsheathed his sword slowly, then slammed the flat of the blade against the bar, causing a loud *BANG*.

With that someone from the back of the bar screamed and ran out the door, into the street, causing a lot of focus on what was going in the bar. And of all the passers-by, the person whose attention was caught most was that of Sakura Haruno's. She walked quickly towards the door of the bar, as the rest of the people spilled out, and who should she see causing all of this – the village's newest addition to the ninja force, Sasuke's friend – Suigetsu – threatening a bartender with a 6 fool long sword. She stormed in, slamming the door open so hard that the hinges broke and the door fell off. She reached Suigetsu and kicked his seat out from underneath him before he could even react to her presence, and he feel to the floor, letting go of the old man as he went.

He sat there, for only a brief second confused, but then a weird combination of anger and excitement.

"I don't know what you're doing," Sakura said angrily at him "but I'm not going to let you continue threatening people."

Suigetsu quickly stood up, smirking. "I wasn't threatening," Suigetsu smirked "just instructing. Or maybe just having a brief chat, what's it to you, forehead."

Any other person would have regretted pointing out Sakura's larger than normal forehead. Suigetsu, however, had the kind of personality which regrets nothing, and within seconds of Suigetsu having insulted Sakura, he was next found rocketing out the door of the bar and into the middle of the street, rolling to his feet as he went. At some point between Sakura throwing him, and the point he was at now, he had lost his sword.

Sakura slammed some money on the bar to compensate for the door, and a little extra for the trouble and then stormed back outside.

"You really want to do this?" Suigetsu laughed as Sakura quickly advanced on him "Right here? Well okay then, you do not know how much I need this."

Sakura was in no laughing mood, and she quickly threw a punch, which went straight through Suigetsu's head. Now she was confused, Suigetsu's body simply turned to water when she impacted it. She pulled her hand back out and Suigetsu's face reformed.

She threw two hooks with both hands, and each time Suigetsu just turned o liquid.

"Oh yeah you dirty girl" Suigetsu mocked her.

She threw and uppercut which exploded his head, but it quickly reformed.

"Yeah harder!" Suigetsu seemed to be enjoying this a little more than Sakura had hoped. She jumped and then powered a punch down to the ground, which sliced Suigetsu in half before he reformed yet again and toward over the kneeling Sakura.

"You know while you're down there I can think of something else you can do" Suigetsu said casually.

She jumped back and then aimed a kick straight at Suigetsu's private area, and yet again Suigetsu turned to water and Sakura's kick did nothing.

"Oh yeah work the shaft!" Suigetsu roared and finally Sakura stomped, causing a crater in the middle of the street as the ground exploded under them. It all turned silent and Suigetsu was nowhere to be seen, Sakura sighed, exhausted from the sudden exertion, when suddenly a voice came from behind her.

"You know sweetie, there's only one kind of screwing you're doing now. And it's not the one I hoped it would be." Suigetsu mocked, sitting cross legged on the ground. He had used the chaos created by her last attack to retrieve his sword.

"I mean ideally," Suigetsu continued "you would be screwing me more than screwing up – but I think you're a bit too rough for me, sugartits." Suigetsu's every word irritated Sakura. She was about to storm back towards Suigetsu when suddenly she found someone standing between them. It was Sasuke.

"Honestly Suigetsu, after today I thought you'd made enough chaos." Sasuke said strolling towards him.

"Oh you sorely underestimate me Sasu-kun that hurts." Suigetsu said, his mocking voice sounding slightly bitter but also playful as he addressed his friend.

"Come on Suigetsu we're going home," Sasuke said, he walked over to Suigetsu, dragging him up from the floor by his collar and Suigetsu struggled away from Sasuke's grip.

"Okay okay!" Suigetsu protested "I'm coming no need to be a dick about it."

They began to walk away; Sakura was still frozen in place by the presence of the dark haired Uchiha. They took a few more steps before Sasuke said casually, without turning "And apologise to Sakura."

"Yeah yeah sorry" Suigetsu said, sounding like an angry chid.

The two continued to walk away, and Sakura was left alone in the middle of the street, as night fell on the village.

The next day Suigetsu and Sasuke walked to the gate of the village bright and early to meet Shikamaru and go back out on the hunt. Sasuke wore a black jacket, with a tall collar which reached his jaw, much like a cloak, and it was zipped up to the collar bone and he wore his net vest underneath with his usual black pants and sandals. Suigetsu wore his blue vest and short combo he always wore. However, one thing both were wearing which was unusual for them both, was both of them wore a hidden leaf headband. Sasuke's sat on as it did before, on his forehead, just beneath his bangs. Meanwhile Suigetsu chose to wrap his around his bicep, stating he found it more comfortable, and mean he could liquefy his head without losing it. To wear them meant it was fully official, they were genuine hidden leaf ninja.

They found themselves at the gate, and as expected Shikamaru was there, exactly on time. However, he didn't look like he was ready to leave at all, just the expression on his face was enough to take this from.

"Shikamaru, you ready to go?" Suigetsu said excitedly. Sasuke couldn't help but be embarrassed by how slow his comrade was in comparison.

"No Suigetsu, we have new orders,2 Shikamaru sighed "we're going to be joining another squad and forming a 7 man team. It's a total drag but it's the Hokage's orders."

"Seven man team?" Suigetsu said confused "Who with?"

Shikamaru sighed "I think I'll just let you find out when we get there."

They walked to the Third Hokage's training ground. It was about 9O'Clock and people were only just beginning to wake up. None of the three said anything to each other. Even Suigetsu was oddly silent. Sasuke could already guess who the team was going to be, and he couldn't say that he was surprised.

The morning air was sweet in the village, and the sunlight sparkled through the clouds, causing the dew found on the plants in the village to sparkle like gems. While Sasuke couldn't say he ever really focused on it, he couldn't help but remember how beautiful this village really was.

They finally found themselves at the training ground, the same one Sasuke's first ever team, the original team 7, had first completed their test with Kakashi.

Of course they were the first people there, and Sasuke found a nearby large rock to perch himself on top of, waiting patiently for his new team mates.

About half an hour passed, but finally they appeared, and just as Sasuke expected, Naruto, Sakura and Sai made their way over to them. Sakura hadn't yet seen Suigetsu, who was sat behind the rock. Sasuke wasn't even sure if he should get involved with the fireworks which were about to go off.

"Sakura, Naruto, Sai" Shikamaru greeted them "you took your time."

Sakura shrugged and then glared at Naruto "Care to guess why?" She said bitterly.

"No I already worked it out." Said Shikamaru casually.

"Hold on," Sai interjected, "Isn't your team missing a member?"

Sasuke sighed "Suigetsu, introduce yourself."

Suigetsu sprang out from behind the rock "Hey Sugartits, did you miss me?" He yelled, grinning evilly at Sakura.

"You!" Sakura yelled, clenching her fist, ready to begin the onslaught Sasuke stopped last night.

"Awh did you want to go again? I gotta admit you have better stamina than I thought."

Sakura ran at Suigetsu, pulling her fist back before she suddenly stopped and froze. As did Suigetsu, who was getting ready to move out the way. Shikamaru stood between the two, his signature jutsu already in effect.

"Honestly I don't know how I'm going to deal with you two."

Naruto, meanwhile, clicked onto what was going on, and clenched his fist glaring at Suigetsu.

"Wait, is this the guy you were telling me about Sakura?" He growled

Sasuke hopped down from his perch, and walked over to Shikamaru.

"Dear Good, both of them on the same team," Sasuke groaned "It's like my worst nightmare."

Naruto stilled glared at Suigetsu, who was still statuesque and silent.

"Naruto stand down," said Shikamaru, who still continued his Jutsu, "Sasuke can't you help?"

Sasuke shrugged walking over to Naruto "Hey, Naruto," Sasuke said "calm down."

With that Naruto exploded with rage, throwing wild punches at Sasuke – who nonchalantly dodged all of them.

"Naruto stop!" Shikamaru yelled "Man what a drag…"

Kakashi sat in a tree watching. He had only just arrived and the team was already in chaos.

"Dear god, all of them on the same team," he sighed "it's like my worst nightmare come true."

He stood and rolled his shoulders. "I'd best go break them up."

Suddenly, for Naruto, he felt himself dropping, his ankles being held. He was up to his next by the time he stopped, despite the move happening as fast as a blink of an eye.

"Huh, what?!" Naruto said with a shocked scream as Kakashi burst out of the ground nearby.

Shikamaru released Sakura and Suigetsu and Sakura looked at Kakashi bewildered.

"Kakashi sensei?" Sakura said shocked, "What are you doing here?"

Sai walked over to her side "He's come to lead the team." Sai said as casually as ever.

Sakura rolled her eyes "Late as ever then Kakashi sensei."

Kakashi held his face in his right hand, trying not to look too disappointed.

"Yes I am, and this time I have a good excuse for that – but more on that later. But honestly I thought you had grown up since last time I'd had you n my team, but I suppose nothing changes…" He said sarcastically.

The somewhat fractured team looked at him, somewhat confused.

"And if you intend to act like children," Kakashi continued "then you will do an exercise for children." He said as he took two, small and familiar bells out of his pocket, clinking them together as he did.

"Awh not this again." Naruto groaned, having bad memories of when this last happened.

Kakashi's eye showed he was smiling at Naruto's disapproval of his task. "Yes this again," Kakashi said smugly "you will split into groups of two. I want Sai and Shikamaru, Suigetsu and Sakura," Sakura groaned as Suigetsu frowned at Kakashi "Do I really have to work with Suigetsu?" She moaned.

"Yes you do," Kakashi continued, "And lastly I want Naruto and Sasuke to work as a pair."

Naruto wanted to grin but he didn't, he didn't want to look too pleased about it but inside he was overjoyed.

"Now then," Kakashi said, turning his back from them "this is a race against the clock. You have 1 hour, as a pair, to get a bell. The team who fails, has to spend the night out here together."

"WHAT?!" Sakura roared, her nostrils flaring "You can't make us do that!" She continued.

Kakashi still appeared to be smiling "OH but I can. You remember how I said I had a good excuse for being late?"

The group nodded in response

"Well," Kakashi continued "that was because I was busy. I made sure that Sakura and Shikamaru's parents would let them in unless they had a note from me. Sasuke, Suigetsu, Sai and Naruto I had the locks on you doors changed and only I have the keys, if you want to go home you'll have to get the keys off me."

"WHAT?!" Everyone except from Sai yelled. Sai didn't specifically care, he had done worse than spend a night outside with Shikamaru.

"That's right, so whoever loses the race must stay out here all night with their partner and work out why it is that they failed and the other groups didn't." Kakashi turned again to face the group.

You have until noon to prepare your tactics, that's about… 2 hours." Said Kakashi "You will then have 3 hours to get a bell." He walked past them all towards the forest.

"That means go plan your moves!" He yelled as he walked away.

The 3 teams briefly looked at each other and then dispersed. Sasuke and Naruto decided to follow Kakashi into the forest, hoping to stay close to him and trail him. They didn't even need to ask each other of the other plan, they seemed to both think the same thing.

Sai and Shikamaru both decided to move to the top of the rock so they could sit and plan sensibly, meanwhile Sakura had gone in one direction while Suigetsu moved toward the stream, causing Sakura to chase after him yelling.

Sai, watched them and couldn't help but feel sorry for Sakura. His attention quickly turned back to Shikamaru.

"Kakashi has made a bold move hasn't he?" Said Sai.

Suigetsu sighed "I know, this entire exercise is a total drag." He pulled out a cigarette and his lighter, and started smoking while he thought.

"Neither of us are designed for frontal, hand to hand combat are we?" Shikamaru said, his trail of thought continuing, only need in a nod from Sai in response.

"With that in mind, we probably stand more of a chance than everyone. I have a plan Sai, and I think we might be going home tonight." Shikamaru smirked, pleased with his idea.

"What do you need?" Said Sai, intrigued.

"Ink clones." Shikamaru said, blowing smoke out of his mouth as he did, "Lots of ink clones."

Meanwhile Sasuke and Naruto found a part of the forest in which they felt they could easily trail Kakashi from, and they stopped there.

"Okay Naruto, I don't know about you but I don't want to go home tonight." Sasuke said, whispering so to not give away their position. "We've done this exercise before and we both know that frontal combat doesn't work. We need a good idea."

Naruto frowned "Well we haven't seen you in action consistently for years. Do you have any hidden moves up your sleeve?"

Sasuke shrugged "None that wouldn't kill him."

Naruto grinned "I think that counts as a disqualification."

Sasuke gave him a disapproving look. "It does give me an idea though."

Naruto frowned "What's the idea?"

Sasuke grinned "We do what we do best, brute force."

Sakura and Suigetsu had barely sat down, and Suigetsu lowered himself into a deep part of the stream, merging with it.

"Dammit Suigetsu, why'd you come so far away." She panted, tired from running after him.

Suigetsu swam around a bit before popping his face out of the water "I'll give you three guesses."

Sakura sighed, 'The worlds a dangerous place when you give a giant sword to a person with the attitude of a six year old.' She thought glumly.

"So do you have a plan?" Suigetsu said, looking at Sakura. She sighed in response.

"Me and Naruto have done this test twice. And we did it with Sasuke the first time. Before it was difficult because we were by ourselves against Kakashi. This time it's difficult because not only are we against Kakashi but we also have two other teams to compete with."

Suigetsu shrugged "Well if you don't have an idea," he said "I have one."

Sakura frowned "You do?" She said surprised.

"Yeah, you see. When I morph my body into the water, I can move as fast as the stream does if I want to. If you force Kakashi towards the water, I can use a surprise attack, during that time you can find a way to take the bell while he is distracted."

Sakura shrugged, it was better than anything she could come up with.

"Might as well try."

The two hours came to an end, Sai and Shikamaru were ready for their plan to spring into effect. All they needed was for Naruto and Sasuke to do exactly what they planned. They would have to wait a while, and they were fine with this. Shikamaru had already worked out almost completely what the other two teams would do, but with this in mind, they sat and waited, ready to strike as soon as the moment came.

Meanwhile, Sasuke and Naruto saw Kakashi on the move, and prepared to root him out. They needed to push him towards the other teams.

"Sasuke, you ready?" Naruto said, who was in front of him towards the left.

Kakashi was moving at an acceptable pace through the trees ahead of him.

"Yes Naruto, do your stuff."

Naruto nodded, and further ahead in the forest, Naruto had shadow clones, positioned exactly where Sasuke told him to. They would root Kakashi into the open by any means.

"Now!" Said Sasuke.

The signal hit Naruto and they heard the hit of a Rasengan and further ahead, a tree fell, and Kakashi changed his direction appropriately.

"What on earth are they doing?" Kakashi wondered.

He continued running, and as he went more and more trees were falling. All of the village could probably hear the racket that was being made.

Finally Kakashi realised Naruto and Sasuke were funnelling him into the open, which was their plan. They had succeeded too, as Kakashi flew past the clearing and skidded to a stop in the wide open, facing Shikamaru and Sai.

"Hold here Naruto," Sasuke said "let's watch what happens."

Naruto stopped on the tree next to Sasuke, holding his position ready to witness how this would play out.
