Coruscant: Jedi Temple

Night had fallen on the ruined city of Coruscant. Fires were still raging on, and smoke mared the star filled sky.

Doom and the others sat around a small fire that Torch had made. The shadows seemed to dance along the hallowed halls of the temple.

"So, you became one of these Jedi guys to repent for your mistakes?" Torch said, still not quite believing him.

Doom nodded.

No one completely believed him, he could see that. Wolverine hadn't even looked away for a second. His gaze slightly unnerved him.

Thor pondered hard the tale Doom had spun. He seemed sincere, but he had done so much evil. Could he have been forgiven so easily?

Torch still was thinking about how he could have let Doom get his sister into so much trouble.

Doom got up and turned his back to the fire, the shadows now obscuring his face.

"I don't know, Doom." Thing said. "I can't exactly just say ok, and trust you."

"I understand, Ben Grimm." Doom said, not turning to anyone. "I didn't expect any of you to even let me have a chance to tell you."

He let his arms drop to his sides. "I can't tell you how sorry I am for what I've done in the past. Now that I've seen the light, I want to repent. I want to help mend what has been broken."

"That's a lot of broken things." Thing said.

Doom nodded again. He was surprised by a hand on his shoulder.

"I believe you, Victor von Doom." Thor said. "All require a second chance."

"Thor's right." Wolverine finally spoke. "You don't smell like your lying."

Doom exhaled slightly. But then, Wolverine was in front of him, pointing a finger in his face.

"But, if I find you betray us again, I'll gut you. Understand?"

"Of course..." Doom answered.

Orbit above Yavin 4: Super Planet Destroyer: Bridge

Palleon watched the stars return to normal as he gazed down at the little moon. Thrawn as always was at his side.

"This time, I want to try some of the none Force-wielders." He said. "Since the Force seems to be nullified."

Thrawn nodded. "It is a wise decision."

Yavin 4: Jedi Academy

Kyle Katarn meditated in the grand hall of the Academy. He felt completely unaware. The Force had seemingly left, not only him, but all the students as well. It was scary, honestly.

He opened his eyes, and noticed dots filling the sky. Invasion.

"Well, that's great." He said. "Better get everyone ready."

Yavin 4: Outside the Jedi Academy

Jango Fett led the assault as the several zombie bounty hunters and mercenaries dropped to the soil. He used his jetpack to fly over to the front door, shooting down the rebel guards with his dual pistols. The unique noise they made scared off the birds in the area.

Calo Nord and Canderous Ordo then proceeded to blow the door off it's hinges with a few thermal charges. When the explosion cleared, Jango once again took point. Jedi students who no longer Force wield were slaughtered, and many more were running in fear.

One brave student, Jason, tried to slice Jango's head off, but was blasted apart by Canderous' detonator launcher. Jango continued to fly through the corridors, blasting younglings all over.

Kyle ran towards the undead mandalorian, and Jango quickly got out of the way.

As Kyle regained his posture, he looked at Jango.

"You remind me of another famous bounty hunter." He said.

"I'm sure." Jango said, not knowing who Kyle was refering to. "Prepare to die, Jedi."

He fired a rocket out of the top of his jetpack, which flew towards Kyle at blurring speed. He was faster however, even without the Force, and blasted the rocket down with his Bryar pistol.

Jango landed, and proceeded to knock Kyle's weapons, including his lightsaber, away. The two then began to fight hand-to-hand. Jango went for a knee kick, which dropped Kyle to one knee. He attempted to slice Kyle's head with his gauntlet blade, but Katarn was slightly quicker, and caught the arm in one hand, then punched him in the gut with the other.

It hurt slightly, but Jango still flew back. As Kyle grabbed his lightsaber again, he ignited it and charged Jango.

Coruscant: Jedi Temple

Luke seemed to be awake a few hours after Doom had sat back down. Doom walked over to his mentor.

"Are you ok, master?" Doom asked.

"Yeah, I'm ok." He said. "That's some good healing."

"Yes, well, I couldn't have done it without Thor." Doom admitted.

"Now, tell me how you can use the Force, but not me." Luke said abrubtly.

Doom raised his eyebrows. "Well, master, I don't really know myself. It seems I'm the only one left who can."

Luke's eyes suddenly popped open. "Yavin!"

Han and Chewie did the same, knowing what Luke meant. The others looked around confused.

"My other students on Yavin will be defensless!" Luke said. "We have to go!"

Han nodded. "I'll get the Falcon prepped and ready! Come on, Chewie!"

The wookie growled an affirmitave, and followed after his friend.

Doom realized whoever had the Infinity Gauntlet, he meant business. He wanted to crush all of the enemy, just as he would have done. Doom had to stop him or her, whoever they were. This was the first step, as he saw it, to redeeming himself. And maybe, in the process, he'd find Susan, and the Force, and rescue her. He had to help his friend to save his lover.

"Well, what are we standing around for?" He asked. "Let's go!"
