Yavin 4: Jedi Academy
Kyle blocked Grievous' lightsaber as it came down on Canderous. The four-armed cyborg, however, had four lightsabers also. Using the other three, Grievous sweeped his weapons towards Kyle. He managed to disengage and dodge the glowing blades.
Canderous held his own against the oncoming swarm. Lasers and explosions rocked the halls, stones falling from the ceiling, and scorch marks riddled the walls.
"Line to die starts on the left, boys!" Canderous yelled out.
He fired more detonators out of his launchers, blowing apart bounty hunters and mercenaries, sending dust and body parts flying. Loud bangs and booms deafened all the combatants.
Grievous began a fast assault on Kyle once again. The jedi master was barely able to avoid getting hurt.
"Puny jedi!" Grievous laughed through wheezes and coughs. "Your lightsaber will make a great addition to my collection!"
"Sorry, I don't give away freebies." Kyle joked again, blocking the many saber strikes Grievous threw at him.
"I wasn't asking!" Grievous said.
Kyle jumped away to avoid getting sliced.
"You know, you have no sense of humor." He said, getting ready for another round.
Calo and Canderous exchanged fire from behind makeshift barricades made from the rubble. Canderous drew his dual mandalorian heavy pistols and began to fire a volley of lasers at Calo and his comrades.
Calo ducked under a laser, but it put a hole through Cad Bane's face.
"Jerk!" Bane said.
"Not my fault you stood right behind me." Calo said simply.
He stood up and fired his pistols back, but missed almost every shot. Canderous had to jump to the side.
Kyle looked over at the pinned down mandalore. That moment of distraction was all that Grievous needed. Knocking Katarn's lightsaber out of his hand, and pinning him with his clawed foot, Grievous laughed.
"Foolish jedi scum." He coughed out. "Did you really think you could stop me?"
"No..." Kyle grunted, trying to stay concious. "But, perhaps I thought I could buy some time."
Grievous looked confused, and was cut in half by Luke Skywalker. He stood there, lightsaber at the ready, with Doom, Han, Chewie, Leia, Thing, Human Torch, Wolverine, Thor, and Garm.
"Alright, guys, let's do this." He said.
Kyle retrieved his lightsaber, and joined them.
Earth: New York: New York
As the normal people walked about, enjoying their daily lives, no one seemed to notice the tiny anomalies in the sky. Small black holes, odd colored clouds. Even a second sun on one occasion. No ones saw this. No one except S.H.E.I.L.D..
The Hellicarrier hovered above New York, crews scanning all the odd things that were happening lately. Tony Stark stood on the bridge, watching his agents scramble. There was something definatily wrong here.
"Agent Hill?" He called out.
Maria Hill came up behind Stark, standing at attention. "Yes, director?"
"Are we any closer to finding out what's going on?" He asked.
"Afraid not, sir." Hill said. "Also there is still no sign of the missing heroes."
Stark rubbed his temples lightly. This was just great. Friends die, friends go missing, Earth acting strange...the only thing he thought could possibly make this worse was if this "Palleon" guy showed up with the Infinity Gauntlet again.
"Wait..." Stark said, eyes snapping open.
"What?" Hill asked.
"That guy who stole the Infinity Gauntlet." Tony said. "That weapon allows someone to warp reality in any way, shape, or form they desire. What if he is using the Gauntlet to screw with the world?"
"Maybe, sir, but what can we do about it?" Hill asked, still not fully understanding.
Tony walked around, looking at computer screens. "We have the Gauntlet's data in the S.H.E.I.L.D. Database. So we use it to trace the Gauntlet, and discern it's current location!"
"Yes, sir!" Hill replied, understanding finally.
Yavin 4: Jedi Academy
Luke and Doom managed to push back Grievous into a corner. The cyborg zombie yelled maniacally and charged forward, lightsabers flaring. The duo jumped away, and Doom Force Pushed Grievous into the floor, creating a small crater. Still, he managed to stand all the way through the attack.
"You can still wield the Force?" He asked, coughing again. "Interesting..."
"You'll find I'm full of surprises." Doom said, taking another fighting stance.
Grievous lunged again, a battle cry trilling from his vocal recorder.
Across the room, Canderous was just about out of ammo. His charges were on low, and he had no more extra clips. It looked like he was going to have to use his born and bred combat ability...mandalorian hand-to-hand.
He threw the pistols to the ground. Calo did the same.
"I know what your planning." He said to Canderous. "Mandalorian Battle Circle and all that jazz right?"
"Exactly." Ordo said to his old enemy. "Opponents terms."
"No weapons, or items." Calo proclaimed. "Fists and feet only."
"Fine by me." Canderous accepted. "Come on!"
Thing bashed his way through a crowd of mandalorians and wookies. Picking two of the wookies up by the throat, he tossed them over to Thor, who vaporized them with a few bolts of lightning.
Leia and Garm fired their blasters at the oncoming horde. Torch managed to hold them back far enough by setting fire to the floor. The heat continued to turn the sand floor to glass, cutting the zombies' feet.
"Woohoo!" He cried joyously. "Turkey's done!"
"No time for joking around kid." Garm warned.
A sith assassin came up behind him with a vibroblade, about to stab Garm, but was tackled by Wolverine.
"Maybe you should focus, bub." He told Garm.
Doom and Luke were still holding the line against Grievous, but they were getting tired. Grievous was all fired up.
"Puny jedi! PUNY JEDI!" Grievous cackled and hacked.
"For some reason he reminds me of somebody we know..." Thing said, hearing that.
"Nevermind that." Doom said. "Focus on your opponents!"
Canderous nailed Calo in the nose with a quick feint. As he stumbled, the former mandalore executed a perfect roundhouse kick. Calo hit the ground, breaking his goggles.
"Nice hit." He said, taking them off. "You always were a more physical fighter."
"I'm just getting warmed-up." Canderous said.
Suddenly, the temple began to shake. No, not the temple, the moon itself was trembling.
Orbit above Yavin: Super Planet Destroyer: Bridge
Palleon watched as the planet suddenly began to change. He lifted an eyebrow as black holes and hurricanes suddenly began to cover the planet's surface.
"What is the meaning of this, Grand Admiral?" Palleon asked.
"I am unsure." Thrawn said. "I have never seen such a sight."
"I have a bad feeling..." Palleon said.
Yavin 4: Jedi Academy
Grievous was crushed under a giant block of stone that fell from the roof. Doom jumped back in surprise, and looked up. He saw a raging wind, a hurricane sucking up and spitting out everything.
"What is the meaning of this?" Luke called out.
"I'm not sure." Doom yelled. "But I think that the Infinity Gauntlet is behind this."
