Yavin 4: Jedi Academy
Doom and Luke dodged out of the way of an incoming brick of rubble. The force of the winds generated by the whirlwind were enough to uproot the powerful trees around the area. And there seemed to be no sign of stopping it.
"Watch out!" Wolverine yelled out, pushing Leia out of the way of an airbourne staircase.
As he did so, he got caught, and the flying dbris once used for walking upwards, was being sucked into the vortex carrying the mutant brawler with it.
"Wolverine!" Leia called out.
"I have him!" Thor called out, swinging Mjolnir skywards and taking off in a flash.
The thunder god dodged and weaved through several airbourne trees, bricks, and peices of the temple. He reached Wolverine just as a stray bolt of lightning struck where they'd been a second ago.
"Thanks, blonde." Wolverine said.
"Of course my friend. Now let us return to the ground." Thor said.
Canderous and Calo continued their duel, seemingly oblivious to the chaos surrounding them. Calo countered an elbow strike from the former Mandalore, and delivered a quick kick to the chin.
Stumbling, Canderous regained composure and swung with a fast and powerful right, which locked up with Calo's left hand. The wrist could be heard cracking slightly. Unable to feel pain, the two continued fighting.
Han ran over to Luke in a quick fashion only an experienced smuggler could.
"Kid, I don't know what's goin' on, but we gota get your students to safety!" He called out.
"Yes." Luke agreed. "Have Chewie and Ben get everyone to the Falcon!"
"Will do!" Han replied, dodging debris on his way to relay the message.
Orbit above Yavin 4:Super Planet Destroyer
"Palleon," Thrawn said. "I believe the planet is collapsing upon itself."
Palleon looked on as the black hole grew ever larger, seemingly eating the moon and crushing it up.
"I concur."
"At this rate, it will be lost within an hour."
"So be it.." Palleon grunted. "A small price to pay for killing so many Jedi."
Thrawn nodded. Palleon walked past Deadpool, who was watching as well.
"Yo-hoho...boss..muchaho..my man!" He said, stopping Palleon. "You aren't really gonna let that moon get munched up are ya?"
"Why do you care, slave?" He questioned.
"Well, ya see, if you kill Victor von Doom-and-gloom down there, this all ends..and I ain't ready tro go back to limbo yet and wait for another writer."
Palleon dismissed Deadpool's ravings as lunacy, and continued past. "Prepare to jump to hyperspace."
Deadpool watched him walk away, and mumbled something under his breath.
"Hold up, writer dude! So am I gonna be like some awesome savior here or something?"
Well, you're definitely going to do something good.
"Am I getting paid?"
No.
"Then I'm out."
Wanna go back to limbo?
"...God, I hate you.."
I love you too.
"Just get on with the story!"
Yavin 4: Jedi Temple
"Come on, everyone, go, go, go!" Han yelled.
The younglings quickly made their way past undead mercenaries and flying rubble to try and get to the Falcon.
"Is she gonna fit everyone?" Wolverine asked.
"They'll have to squeeze into the compartments, but yeah, we can manage!"
"Watch out!" One of the students cried.
"No.." Han sighed.
Everyone ducked down as the familiar shape of the Millenium Falcon was wrenched skyward and into the vortex. Han watched helplessly as his beloved vessel was reduced to ashes.
"NO!" He cried out.
"Dammit!" Thing said. "Now what?"
"Is there another way off the planet?" Garm asked, hurriedly.
"No.." Luke said, not looking away from the vortex as it grew larger and larger.
"Then we shall perish here.." Thor resigned.
Doom shook his head violently. He wouldn't die here. Not while his lover was in the clutches of that evil minded villian. "There HAS to be a way! We will NOT die today!"
Luke, startled at the fire in Doom's eyes, smiled slightly at his student's will.
Canderous and Calo were still clashing inside what remained of the temple. At a stalemate, the two had no where else to go.
"You can't win, Canderous." Calo laughed. "We can't die."
"Not by conventional means.." He said.
Calo seemed confused for a second. Then he noiced Canderous was poised to jump. If he did, the wind would catch him and sweep both of them into the swirling hole above.
He struggled to get free of his grasp, but Canderous held on, a smile of defiance crossing his face.
"This is the last, old rival of mine." He laughed. "For MANDALORE!"
With that finale battle cry, he lept into the air, dragging Calo screaming with him.
"Thor!" Doom called over the thunder of the ripping fabric of space.
"Aye?" Thor replied.
"I need you to throw me into the vortex!"
Thor's eyes widened. "NAY! You would die!"
"Then so be it!" Doom said. "But I have faith in the Force..she will protect me!"
Thor looked to Luke, who nodded.
"Be safe, Victor von Doom." Thor said, grabbing him by the belt.
With that, he spun and launched Doom at supersonic speeds into the sky.
"May the Force be with you.." Luke prayed.
Doom shot like a bullet into the eye of the storm. Creating a sonic boom as he broke the sound barrier, he felt the violent winds against his skin. It was only his Force abilities which kept his body from falling apart. He entered the vortex, and immediately it began to attack him like an invading organism in a host body.
The dark energy swirled and lashed at Doom, ripiping apart his armor. Doom did not focus on this. He concentrated; concentrated all his Force power into the blade of his emerald green lightsaber. It began to glow a bright golden color. The blade grew in length exponentially as all the power Doom could muster was forced into the Jedi tool. He let out a battle cry and swung the mighty blade in an arch. It sliced the vortex clean in two! Lightning and deafening thunder overwhelmed Doom's senses as the molecules of the storm broke apart creating small atomic detenations all around. Doom knew the end was near. He was going to die. Had it been for a good cause? Perhaps. He had saved everyone...
Down below, Luke and the gang watched on as the storm split, and not a second later exploded in a huge atomic blast. The shockwave leveled the surrounding forest, and foced all to the ground with huge force that not even Thor could withstand.
As Luke hit the ground he looked and saw all color had faded from the landscape. Everything was gray. And suddenly..it was normal again. Quiet.
Everyine struggled to stand as Luke looked around for a sign of Doom.
"Victor!" Luke called. "Victor!"
No response. Everyone began to call out for Doom. Luke could not help but feel as though he had lost another..
"Will y'all quit yellin' so much?! It's hurting my ears." Deadpool said.
"Way to give away my identity."
My bad.
Everyone turned to look at the newcomer. Deadpool stood there, holding an unconcious Doom over his shoulder.
"YEah, yeah, hold your applause." Deadpool mocked.
Everyone rushed over to retrieve Doom, completely ignoring Deadpool.
"OH COME ON!"
Shhh.
Doom was out cold, not responding to any stimuli.
"Everyone take a few steps back." Luke said. "Thor? You healed me, heal him."
"I...I will try..the Odinforce is not totally inside me anymore, however..I shall try." Thor replied.
He knelt down next to the prone form of Doom, and placed a hand on his chest. Holding his hammer, Mjolnir, into the sky, he summoned forth a lightning bolt which struck down with a loud crack of thunder. Thor let the magic flow through him and into Doom, stimulating his heart, making it pump blood faster every second. He then dropped his hammer, and took his hand from Doom.
Everyone looked on..as Doom opened his eyes.
