Author's Note: Hey guys. I know that I haven't been updating at all since September but college has been a whirlwind and busy at that! The only negative aspect is that I can't update this anymore... In other news, 30 chapters! Woohoo :D
Anyway, I want to be honest with you all. As you may expect I want to end this story soon so then I can stop feeling guilty about not updating. I know that may sound like crap but honesty is the best policy after all. Or at least that's my opinion anyway. Plus I have other story ideas as I have become OBSESSED with Mass Effect.
Dad brought the car round and mum and I got in. On the way home, mum brought up what we had discussed five minutes previously.
"Pandora thought you'd appreciate it if me and her kept the relationship outside of school Max. We both know how much you care about looking professional."
"That's down to you two. I don't want to stop anything between you just to keep me happy." He kept his eyes on the road but mum and I both knew he was listening.
"It's fine dad really. It'll be just like it was before I found out about mum. No one will notice anything anyway. Even Karla doesn't know about any of this."
"I thought Karla was one of your best friends Pandora?" Mum seemed surprised that I hadn't told Karla about any of this. She knew about what was going on between me and my dad. I know that she isn't stupid though, she was one of the ones who got mum to have a word with me after all before dad fessed up.
"I didn't want anyone to overhear and then spread it around school. I know it would cause a lot of trouble for you both, mainly you dad. No offense but I think we both know who would get less crap." I explained myself. They both seemed to understand my reasoning which was encouraging. I saw in the mirror that both of my parents smiled at that remark as they both knew the answer to that statement.
"That's very true but whilst your mum is more popular out of us two, I wouldn't stand for rumours like that to be spread around. Your mum would probably just take it all in her stride wouldn't you?" Max showed how well he knew Rachel already. I liked how they were getting to know each other better. But I just hope that Adam doesn't cause any trouble. I'm not saying he looks like the type who would or anything but you never know. You can't trust many people these days.
"You know me far too well, Tyler."
When we got home I dumped my bag upstairs, in my room, and returned back down to find both parents watching the TV. They were usually debating about what was good about each show and what was crap about it. Usually just taking the rip to be honest. Not that I can complain because I do that too.
We were just deciding on what to do for tea when the Harry Potter films were about to come on ITV1. I wasn't the biggest fan of Potter but I didn't mind it. It wasn't the best thing I've ever seen but it was definitely no where the worst either. We put it on in the background whilst we discussed whatever came to mind. Usually taking the micky out of something or someone. Shows like I'm a Celebrity were a popular conversation topic as we just took the piss out of the people who acted stupid. Every year, you always get one that is so thick you have no idea as to why they are in the jungle. To be fair, why would you do that anyway?
We decided to have a chicken korma for tea and it was lovely. Best meal I've had in a long time. I decided to go upstairs and speak to Karla on Facebook about the week's events before getting involved in a task or another discussion. I'd never get round to her otherwise.
