**Okay, so new chapter! HOORAY!(Sorry its been so long)Now to just find out what the consequences of Bridget's and Oliver's actions are going to be!
Oliver sat on the front steps of his apartment building, his cheeks aflame from his kiss earlier with Bridget. How had this girl, after only knowing her for only a few weeks, be unshakeable in his head and in his heart? Oliver put his hands over his eyes, picturing her face, her hair wafting around him from her sleep-mussed ponytail in the early morning sun as she smiled at him. Shaking his head to clear the vision from his eyes, Oliver looked up from his hands, to see Maggie standing there, arms full of groceries looking at him curiously.
"Hey Ollie, what are you doing up so early? I thought you'd still be asleep so I sli-"
"Oh no reason really Maggie, just couldn't sleep any longer, plus I had to pee." Maggie looked at Oliver a second longer assessing him to see if he was lying, whether she did or not Maggie just continued on like nothing happened.
"Well, there's nothing on the agenda today or tomorrow so if you wanted to, you could invite a couple of your friends over tonight to sleep over," Maggie said as she held open the apartment building's door for Oliver, who went inside. The two walked down the hallway to their apartment door which was set back behind the bottom of the massive wooden staircase in the building. Taking his key from his pocket, Oliver quickly opened the door, and held it open for Maggie who stumbled into the small, but tidy apartment's kitchen. As Maggie put the groceries away, Oliver called up Mike and James on the phone to invite them over for the night.
"Is it okay if Ike comes over too? Mom wants us both out of the house tonight so she and dad can have a nice "evening" together," Mike asked on the phone.
"I dunno, lemme check with Maggie," Oliver said, "hey Maggie?" Oliver called.
"Yes?" Maggie said from the kitchen, still putting groceries away.
"Can Ike come over too, along with Mike and James? Mrs. O'Malley was hoping to get both of them out of the house tonight…"
Maggie laughed slightly, "I guess. but you'll all have to sleep in the living area, because your bedroom is so small that four boys cannot fit in it comfortably."
"Thanks Maggie," Oliver said, turning back to the phone he answered Mike. "Yeah, Ike can too, we'll just all have to sleep in the living room."
"Okay, deal," Mike said grinning on the other line, "I am too ecstatic for tonight. I'll bring some Goldfish crackers for midnight snack or something."
"Okay Mike," Oliver said, see you then." Oliver hung up the phone, and went into his room. Pulling a book at random off the shelf, he began to read, trying to divert his mind away from Bridget's piercing blue-green eyes, but to no avail. Meanwhile Bridget sat in her father's library doing the exact same thing, only trying to keep her mind away from Oliver's soft, pillowy mouth, and to die for, chocolatey brown eyes. Bridget closed her eyes, and sighed, what if everyone found out about their kiss? what were the consequences of kissing your guy friend going to be? were they even dating? Bridget didn't know, but the price would soon be apparent, but not in an obvious way. Jealousy was bound to happen, and eventually did, but from the most unlikely source, Oscar Delancey.
