Tony paced up and down the cold, hard, marble floor in the kitchen. Pepper had been gone for almost 2 hours now and Tony was sure that she didn't take this long normally. Should he go after her or stay at home? Going after her would just make it seem like he worries too much if she was actually fine but he just didn't want to lose her.
Tony knew what he had to do. He had to go see if he could find her. He wouldn't be able to relax until he knew that she was OK anyway.
He scrambled to get out of the house. He knew the route Pepper took. He just hoped that she was OK and that if anything had actually gone wrong he wasn't too late.
Sadly though, something had gone wrong and he was too late. His eyes immediately fell on the grey jacket just lying in the middle of the alleyway like a piece of rubbish.
"Pepper" He whispered to himself before hurrying towards the jacket. He picked it up, desperately hoping it wasn't Peppers. He examined it carefully, wishing there was some stain or mark on the jacket that would prove it wasn't Pepper's but there wasn't. It was pepper's. It had to be. After all how many other people would have lost the exact same jacket on that day?
Tony didn't know what to do. How could he of been so stupid? He shouldn't of let Pepper go get the shopping on her own.
Swiftly, Tony tried to reach for his phone but he didn't have it. He must of left it at home. Before Tony had even though it through, he was racing home again.
Within 5 minutes, Tony was back home again; he didn't even notice that there had been a voice mail left on his home phone. He just had to find his phone.
"Come on. Its got to be here somewhere." Tony muttered to himself.
"Bingo" He shouted, pulling the small white phone from down the side of their white sofa. It was annoying how easily the phone blended in with the sofa. Not that that mattered at that moment in time. Only Pepper did.
He swiftly typed Pepper's number in, hoping that she had just dropped her jacket by mistake and was just in the shop still. He wasn't going to take any chances though.
"Hello" A strange, male voice answered.
"Who is this?" Tony asked, assuming he had just typed the number in wrong seeing as he had been rushing.
"I'm Tocobra. I'm guessing this is Tony Stark. Let me ask you one thing: Where are you currently?" The man replied. How did he know who Tony was and why did he want to know where he was? Tony was beginning to get more and more worried. He must of put in the right number but then who had Pepper's phone and did they have Pepper too?
"urm I'm at home. Where's Pepper?" Tony asked. She might of just lost her phone. Tony hoped she had at least.
"Oh yeah, she's with me but don't worry she's fine, for now at least. Let me just tell you this one thing though: you'll be extremely lucky to ever see her again!" Tocobra said harshly, just before hanging up.
Tony panicked. His heart started beating super fast and all of a sudden he couldn't breath. What was he going to do? Why did he even let her go and get the shopping? It was all his fault. Now he would probably never see her ever again. He couldn't live without Pepper. Pepper was everything to him.
He had to figure out what to do. There must be something he could do to save her. He just couldn't think straight though. He was too worried to do anything. Pepper was all he could think about.
Maybe he could try to track the number? He raced to his computer and plugged in his phone.
"Jarvis I need you track this number and fast. Peppers in danger" Tony said in a panic.
"Sir, it will take at least an hour or 2 to track this call. The location is well hidden" Jarvis replied.
"Just find them Jarvis!" Tony shouted. He couldn't risk waiting 2 hours. That might be too long. What was he going to do? He sat down at his black swirly chair,trying to calm himself down a bit. After all maybe it wouldn't take as long as Jarvis had said it would?
"I've think I've found the location Mr Stark." Jarvis said an hour later.
"Where is it?" Tony asked quickly before Jarvis told him the address.
Tony darted out of the house. He was going to save Pepper even if it killed him.
