"So Tony's at home" said Tocobra, very calmly, almost too calmly in fact. "That means you lied to me" Tocobra paused for a second. "Let me tell me one thing you should NEVER EVER do; you should NEVER EVER lie to Tocobra!" he shouted before storming out of the room.
Pepper was once again left on her own with her thoughts. Her cheek was still stinging badly from the slap and pepper hoped it would stop stinging soon. She had no idea what to do anything more though; there was no way she could escape. Tocobra was surely going to be back soon too. He knew that she had lied to him now after all and Pepper was petrified of what Tocobra would do. Pepper was confused at the same time though. After all why had Tocobra just left like that and could he be planning something then?
Pepper had heard him say to Tony that he would be lucky to ever see her again. She sat wondering what that could mean. Pepper had no idea what Tocobra was capable of and that worried her more than anything. Pepper didn't want to die, not yet at least. She just wanted to be back home with Tony where she would be safe.
And that's when the most horrible though struck Pepper: Did Tony know about this? Was that why he didn't want Pepper to go and get the shopping? Pepper sat pondering the idea. She was sure Tony would never do anything like that but for some reason, the idea just wouldn't leave her head. She knew deep down that Tony would never do anything like that and that he was probably on his way to save her right now. She was still curious as to why he was so against her going and getting the shopping though. If Tony knew something bad was going to happen then he would of stopped Pepper and he defiantly wouldn't of let her go and get the shopping on her own. He would have been more forceful surely. Not that that really mattered right to now to Pepper. All that mattered was getting out of this horrible place but Tony was actually all Pepper could think about. She just wanted to see him again. At least now that Tony knew that Pepper was in danger, he would hopefully come and save her. She hoped it would be soon as well but who knew where Pepper actually was. Pepper just hoped that Tony would find her soon.
"Come on Tony. Please" Pepper pleaded.
Pepper was left on her own for a few hours. Pepper sat alone in the room completely perplexed and alarmed as to where Tocobra was and whether or not he as planning something.
That's when Tocobra came back.
"Hello Pepper, How have you been?" Tocobra laughed to himself. Pepper just stared at him, not wanting to reply.
Tocobra had come back with some food this time. It was only a tiny amount. Half of a cheeseburger which was probably just scraps which other people didn't want anyway.
"Why are you doing this to me?" Pepper asked hoping to get some answers.
"To get my revenge!" Tocobra replied as he put the food down.
"What for?" Pepper asked curiously. She had never meet any of these people before in her life and the only person she had ever killed or hurt was Killian. Could Tocobra of known him? Pepper wondered to herself.
"You'll find out soon enough but for now I have better things to do!" Tocobra replied bitterly as he walked over to Pepper and untied both her hands and legs. He then headed back over to the door but just before he left he turned round to look at Pepper.
"Oh and I might of now untied you but don't you even think about trying to escape else you will regret it. I will personally make sure of that!" He threatened. "Anyway night! Hope you have a good nights sleep" He joked evilly before slamming the door.
Pepper got up as soon as Tocobra had left. She had been sitting down for far too long and she desperately needed to walk around.
She was shocked it was already night time. Seeing as there was no window or clock in the room, it was hard to tell what the time actually. But then if it was night time then where was Tony? Pepper wondered to herself. She had been so hopeful that Tony would find her soon after he had called and found out that Pepper was in danger. She began to feel disheartened as to whether Tony would find her that same day but she knew he would find her soon. No doubt about it.
That's when Pepper noticed her stomach was grumbling badly out of hunger but she couldn't eat the cheeseburger that Tocobra had left for her. It had already been bitten by someone else after all, not to mention the state the plate was in. It was covered in dirt; it was as if it hadn't ever been washed. There was no way that Pepper could ever eat it without getting ill. Pepper decided that it would be best if she left it. That was before Pepper remembered what Tocobra was like. She stood staring at the Disgusting plate with the half-eaten cheeseburger, wondering what Tocobra would do if she just left it. She thought about trying to hide it but the only piece of furniture in the room was the chair that she was tied to. There was no way she could hide it under there without Tocobra noticing Despite how hungry she was, she couldn't eat the food. She would just have to take the risk of leaving it.
Pepper turned out her back on the food so she was facing the door. There was a small hole in the door where the door handle obviously used to be, Pepper noticed. She wondered if she could use that to open the door and get out.
Pepper quickly tried to open the door without a second thought. She had completely forgotten about Tocobra's threat and tried to escape anyway. Pepper quickly realised that the door was locked but sadly, Pepper was completely unaware of the alarm on the door which could only be turned off from the other side of the door.
Pepper panicked at the sound of the alarm and knew that Tocobra would be back soon. She ran back over to her chair, grabbing the plate of food on the way back, hoping it would look like she hadn't done anything wrong.
By the time Pepper had gotten back to the chair, Tocobra and his men were back at the door. Pepper's heart felt as if it was beating in her mouth and the time it took Tocobra to open the door felt like an hour for Pepper.
"So you thought you would try and escape!" Tocobra stated as he walked into the room and over to Pepper. Pepper gulped nervously. She hoped he would have mercy on her.
But no! He slapped Pepper twice and a lot harder than he had earlier that day. He looked as if he was going to slap her again but he was stopped in his tracks by a voice coming from behind Tocobra.
"Don't you dare touch her again!" Tocobra turned around to see Tony standing on the doorway. He was out of breath and looked really tired but Pepper had never been more relieved to see him.
