Tocobra stood staring at Tony in shook
"how did you get in?" Tocobra asked curiously but with some authority still in his voice.
"does it matter?" Tony replied angrily. "You should know never to mess with Pepper unless you want to mess with me!"
"Well I had to get you here somehow"
"what is that supposed to mean?" Tony asked. His anger growing more and more each second.
"'Does it matter?" Tocobra joked, looking at a guy behind Tony.
Before Tony had any time to react, he was being pushed violently into the room. Tocobra quickly left the room, locking Tony in the room with Pepper. Tony stood watching the door angrily after Tocobra left as if it would suddenly open again.
Pepper sat watching Tony. she didn't know what to say or do. Luckily, she wasn't waiting long though as only a couple of minutes later Tony turned round to look at her. When Tony looked at Pepper, all the anger in his face disappeared and was replaced with sadness and pain.
"Are you OK?" Tony eventually asked looking worried.
"Yeah I'm fine. What about you?" Pepper replied. Tony didn't answer but instead starting to wonder around the room, looking for a way that they could escape.
"Tony stop for a minute." Pepper said. She hated seeing Tony like this. Tony still didn't stop; he didn't even respond in any way.
Pepper continued with what she was going to say anyway, hoping she would get a response from Tony.
"Who were those men?" Tony still didn't reply.
"Tony, Who were those men?" Pepper repeated louder.
" I don't know!" Tony shouted angrily, slamming both his fists into the wall.
Pepper got up and went up over to Tony. She made it so she was in front of Tony before giving him a tight hug. Tony immediately accepted the hug and he hugged her back, placing his head on her shoulder.
" Don't worry Tony; we'll get out of here I promise" Pepper whispered into Tony's ear before ending the hug. She stood for a second, looking straight at Tony.
" Lets just try and get some sleep." Tony finally replied, just before he started to walk towards the part of the wall facing the door.
There were no beds in the room so Pepper and Tony would have to sleep on the hard, cold floor. After hours of trying, neither Tony or Pepper could get comfy and fall asleep.
"you still awake?" Pepper finally asked.
"yeah" Tony replied as he sat up so he was leaning against the wall.
"what are we going to do Tony?" Pepper asked softly.
"we need to find a way to escape" Tony replied.
Pepper and Tony stayed sitting on the floor, wondering what to do. That was until Tony heard the men coming towards their door. He immediately jumped up. Tony wanted to answers but even more than that he wanted to find a way to get Pepper and himself out of this horrible place.
The men then entered the room
"Ah, morning you two. I hope you had a good sleep" Tocobra laughed to himself.
" Who are you" Tony said angrily.
" Like I said on the phone, I'm Tocobra!"
"Yeah but what do you want from Pepper and me?" Tony asked angrily.
"I want my revenge!"Tocobra said fiercely.
Tony was stunned. He had no idea what Tocobra wanted revenge for; he had never seen this guy before.
"Revenge for what?" Tony asked.
"Does it matter? I'm going to kill Pepper either way" Tocobra said before pulling out a gun from the inside of his jacket. He pointed it straight a Pepper.
"Leave her alone!" Tony shouted as he stepped toward Tocobra. The men around Tocobra immediately stepped towards Tony to stop him.
"Or what?" Tocobra asked.
Tony stood staring at Tocobra. This was he's worst nightmare come to life and there was nothing he could do. He looked at Pepper quickly; he could see the fear in her eyes. It broke his heart and he knew he had to do something to stop Tocobra from pulling that trigger.
"I need her" Tony suddenly blurted out without thinking.
"Awww. Isn't that sweet! Well I'll let you two have a bit more time together. This gun isn't loaded anyway!" Tocobra laughed before putting the gun away and leaving the room.
Tony turned round to look at Pepper as soon as he left. She was still sitting on the floor. He walked over and sat next to her on the floor.
" I will protect you and I won't let him hurt you, I promise" Tony said to Pepper.
"What are we going to do though Tony?" Pepper asked with fear in her voice.
"I don't know but I will protect you because you are genuinely the one thing I can't live without" Tony said. He knew that Tocobra would probably do something like that again but he would be ready for it this time. They weren't going to win. Pepper wasn't going to die, not today at least.
It was only ten minutes or so until Tocobra came back with food. Pepper noticed straight away that it was the same amount that she had been given the night before, half a slice of toast.
"Go on eat up" Tocobra said. "I'm not leaving until you do."
"I'm not hungry." Tony said. Tocobra stepped closer to Tony.
" You do as I say!" Tocobra said forcefully.
"Why should I?" Tony replied.
"Cause I can do this" He said before kicking Pepper in the shin.
Tony grabbed Tocobra's armed and punched him right in the face.
" Leave Pepper alone!" He shouted at him as Tocobra stepped backwards due to the pain.
Within a few second though, Tocobra pulled out the gun again but this time it was loaded.
" Don't mess with me Tony Stark because believe me I'm not afraid to pull the trigger."
" Don't you dare, I though I was the one you were after anyway." Tony replied.
" I want to show you what its like to have someone you love killed right in front of your eyes when you know there's nothing you can do about it." Tocobra said.
" Sounds like everyone of my nightmares" Tony replied, hoping he could stop him from shooting Pepper.
"You killed my dad, back when you were in Afghanistan and now I've come to get my revenge!" Tony stood shocked.
"Haven't you already got your revenge. Look at Pepper and me."
"No where near yet" His eyes focused on Pepper and gun. Tony quickly attempted to grab the gun but it was too late. Tocobra pulled the trigger. Tony then finally managed to grab the gun off of Tocobra and immediately shot him in the head.
The other men in the room attempted to stop Tony but he just threatened to shoot them as well. The men backed away, hoping Tony would be kind and not shoot them as well.
After a few second,Tony ran over to pepper. He notices that the bullet had only hit her arm. He was so relieved but he knew he needed to stop the bleeding fast. He quickly took off his jacket and wrapped it round the wound.
Pepper then slowly began to get up with the help of Tony and before they knew it they were out of the building.
Tony got Pepper to the hospital and they managed to stitch up the wound.
"Hey are you OK?" Tony finally asked Pepper.
"yeah yeah I'm fine." Pepper replied and Tony smiled. He had no idea what he would of done if Pepper had died and he was relieved that she was OK. I love you Tony though to himself but didn't say that to Pepper. He just sat there holding her hand.
