Chapter 11 1/2 Part 1

Kinda wanted to do the flashback thingy and tell about Dawn's past

I wanted to do this thing as one that Dawn tells Paul about her past but I changed my mind, kinda needed to work on the flow of the story and decided to write this while I'm on it.

And to Eeveexme, this will answer your question in your review at Chapter 6

As Dawn flew up in the air, she blinked again. "Don't cry." She told herself. Great, it reminded her of the time, when was it? About 2 years ago? When she was 15? Ah yes, it was during that time…..

Dawn's POV 2 years ago, 2148, Violet City, Johto

I loved to fly in the air. With my Togekiss, and with my Pokemons, I would fly to anywhere and anytime. "Dawn, slow down! It's not a race!" May yelled, riding on her Unfezant. "But this is sooooo exciting!" I screamed excitedly. May sighed. She then told her Unfezant to speed up a little, making it fly right next to Togekiss. "DAWN!" I slowed down as I heard my Father's voice. "What? I was in the middle of the fun Dad." I whined and stopped. I exactly knew why he called me though. May followed me and stopped next to me. "New mission! Hilda's already on her way." We groaned and glided down toward the base entrance. Underground base to be exact on the outskirt of the city.

Hilda was in her white training suit, shooting at the targets in front of her. Well, 7 meters away from her to be exact. "Hilda is being serious again." May said. "And you are too unserious, May." Hilda answered without even glancing at us. "Guys, chill. Anyway, what is the mission you wanted to give to us Dad?" I asked as I looked up at my father. "Hmm, you guys are spies. So spy on someone." Hilda stopped shooting and looked at him. May stared at my father. "You are not joking sir?" Hilda asked. "Why, of course not." He said as he held out a photo of a boy.

The boy had a greyish black hair, black eyes and pale skin. "Taru Kirai. You will have to protect this boy." Hilda took a step forward, "Until…?" Father blinked. "Oh, until I tell you to kill him. Or I tell you to retreat." Father said. "Wait, kill him?" May asked. "Yes. I want you to spy on him to see if he is a threat to our organization or not. You will do it, right?" Father asked with a smile. "Of course we can." May and Hilda said. I looked at the picture of the boy. He was rather a handsome boy, sad look on his face, well, handsome. "How do we know if he's a threat or not?" I asked.

"There's a rumor around that Taru is related to Team Rocket's leader." May and Hilda looked at the picture, "He doesn't look anything like Luigi." Hilda said, laughing a little. "Well, it can be true though, their noses are alike." Luigi, the Team Rocket's leader is a threat. Well every villainous teams are but since Team Rocket is the closest to Johto, it is a bigger threat than others. I took the picture away from Father's hand, "Is it okay if I do this mission alone?" I asked.

The rest looked at me as if I was out of my mind. "Are you kidding? We are team! We swore to work together!" Hilda protested, seeming to be angry. "This is a spying mission. It will be harder to do if we do it in group. It is better to do it alone." I said, looking at the picture of him. "She has a point." Father said. "Sir! We are the team! We've never worked alone before!" May protested. "I can do this." I said, with a very confident smile. "And I will." I smiled at them. They groaned but since they knew how stubborn I was they let me go and left the room to go to the knife arena.

I walked out of the base and walked to the part of the city where Taru Kirai lived, according to my father that is. I put on my headphone, played a song, tucked my hands in my grey jacket's pockets and walked casually around, looking for him. The area was very quiet. Well Violet City wasn't the loudest place in Johto but this part of the town is quieter than the other parts. Very peaceful, maybe I should move here when I grow up.

I saw a small Meowth walking on the top of wall. "Hello? How are you?" I asked. "Nyaa~!" it responded happily. I smiled and reached out for the Pokemon. It jumped off the wall and came toward me. I crouched down to look at it closer, it licked my hand. I smiled and petted its head. "Meowth!" It stopped licking and jumped on the wall as it started to run away. "Meowth!" A desperate voice followed the cat. The owner of the Meowth stopped in front of me as he panted. "Are you okay?" I asked as I lowered my headphone to my neck and stood up. "Are you okay?" I repeated. "Yeah, I'm fine. But Meowth, where is she?" He panted, still looking down, his hands on his knees. His black hair was shiny with sweats, which didn't smell so good.

"It, I mean, she, ran away. Is she yours?" I asked, peeking to take a look at his face. He stopped panting and looked up at me. "No, she's my sister's." Taru. He was Taru and he looked better than his picture of him. I blinked up at him. "Is something wrong?" He asked with a smile. "Well, I can help you look for that Meowth." I said, I mean, I heard myself saying. "Really? Why, thank you!" He said, his eyes sparkling. He looked really sad in the picture, but seeing him in real life, he looked more alive and happy.

"My name is Taru. Nice to meet you." He said as we started walking. "I'm Dawn. It is a pleasure to meet you as well." I said. He looked about a year or two older than me. "Well, I've never seen you around here, do you live in downtown?" I nodded. He stopped me. He listened quietly into the air, and with a swift move got on to the wall. "Woah." I gasped. "Shh!" He hissed and looked around. He carefully crawled on top of it, which almost caused me to laugh. I've done that too many times that it almost caused me to laugh. If I was on that wall, I would walk on it to get a better view. Him? A threat? Maybe father's got it all wrong.

But, to my surprise, he found that Meowth, to be exact heard her and grabbed her, which was on a tree. A neighbor's tree but luckily the owner wasn't there and he escaped easily. He jumped down the wall, and stood up. "Hey, thanks for helping me." He said and turned around, "Um, wanna meet my sister?" He asked with the Meowth in his arms and I nodded. I followed him to his house, and I constantly visited him. First it was because I wanted to keep my eyes on him but him and I had so much in common and we became close. Too close. So close that I regret that moment when I nodded.

Well, this is part 1. I will continue later, with the important part.
