Time-travelers
Final Chapter
Dawn guided her friends to the base. After all, they had to save Vee and possibly the whole world. Raphael came along later on. He was furious when he heard the news. "Calm down. Seriously, getting mad won't help anything." Paul scolded his cousin. Raph growled back. "Paul's right. We need to save her and we know it." "We don't need to, we have to!" Hilda sighed. "We will save your girlfriend. And after that…." She turned to face her friends. "This is it." Everyone looked down, avoiding eye contact.
Dawn didn't really have to guide them to the base since Phantom was waiting for them. "You will have to get through me, to make me guide to there." He said with very soft voice. Zoey felt a shiver going up her spines. "What a voice." She whispered to Misty, who agreed. "Umm, there are about, let's see, one two three….. eleven people here. You want to fight eleven against one?" Ash asked. Phantom smiled, "If you insist." He said as he drew his sword. Eleven teenagers, I mean, 10 teenagers and one young adult backed up. Phantom looked puzzled. "Sword is only for showing that I'm willing to fight." Reggie sighed in relief. Phantom eyed him. "If I must fight, I do not want to fight against him."
Reggie whispered to Dawn that some should leave to get Vee. Dawn nodded and decided to take Raph, Paul, Zoey and May with her. Reggie stepped forward and released his Staraptor. Zoey released her Glameowth and Misty released her Politoed. Hilda released her Serperior and Ash did the same with Pikachu. "Battle? Against me?" Phantom looked at them like it was a big joke. "You've got to be kidding me." He drew his Pokeballs and released Gengar, Crobat, Driftblim, and Drapion. "Prepare." He said as he swung his hand.
The rest of them escaped the area and ran to where Vee was kept. It looked like a normal warehouse but it would've been weird if there was actually a warehouse in middle of a forest. Dawn took out her Pokeball and opened the door. They prepared for an attack but nothing happened to their surprise. "Are you sure this is the place?" Paul asked Dawn. She nodded. "I have a feeling that this is where Vee is." Raph grunted, sniffing. "What can you get?" Paul asked. Raph shrugged and walked inside, everyone followed him.
The inside was small just like it seemed outside. "Vee?" Dawn cried out. All of them heard a whimpering sound from somewhere. They separated and started to look for the small girl, literally small. "Vee!" Raph said out loud as he dug through a pile of bags. Dawn spotted a stairway. "Guys!" She pointed at the stairway and the 5 walked down.
The basement was bigger than the ground floor. "Oh my…" May gasped and as she spotted the small girl on the floor she ran toward her. "Vee!" Raph saw her and sat next to her, holding her upper body up in his chest. "Vee, wake up." Raph said. "How touching." The 5 turned and saw their arch nemesis. He smiled in a devilish way and looked at Dawn. "Dawn, sweetheart. If it weren't for your father this wouldn't have happened. So I would like all the rest to leave so I can have a little talk with Ms. von Viette." Bellistone said. "We are not leaving her behind you bitch." May spat. Bellistone smirked at the brunette. "How sweet." He said as he fired something.
"May!" Dawn shouted as her friend collapsed on the ground. Tranquilizer. "If you don't want to end up like her, leave." The rest shifted uncomfortably. "Paul, get May out of here. I can take care of this." Dawn said, convincing others to leave. "Good luck." Raph said as he walked up carrying Vee. Zoey followed him by dragging May up. Paul stared at Dawn for a moment. "I will be fine, don't worry." Dawn said with a smile. Paul seemed to hesitate a bit. He walked up to her and gave her a small kiss on her lips and left, "Good luck."
If it weren't the urgent situation Dawn would have just sat there and stare at some random object for the rest of the day but it was an urgent situation so ignored all the mocking that Bellistone gave her about blushing furiously about getting kissed. "Enough talk. What do you want?" Dawn said angrily, taking out her Pokeball.
Meanwhile, with Phantom, our heroes weren't doing a fine job defeating him. Hilda realized that Phantom had been easy on them during the last times they fought. Which wasn't a good news. All these times Hilda thought she was not a weak trainer but this time she could feel her being weak. The battle was fierce but most of their Pokemons weren't so lucky. They kept losing. "Pikachu!" Ash hugged his Pikachu while releasing his other Pokemons. "Not so funny, isn't it?" Phantom asked, he seemed pretty amused by their expressions on their face. "Very funny." Hilda growled as she returned her Serperior. "Mandibuzz!" An eagle Pokemon flew out of her ball and glared at every of the poison and dark type Pokemons out, battling. "Dark Pulse!" Hilda ordered while glaring at Phantom. Phantom smirked at her.
"Mmm…." Vee opened her eyes. "Are you okay?" Paul and Raph asked. She nodded, slowly. "What happened?" "You were kidnapped by a villain. Now he's opposing Dawn." Vee blinked at Paul who was explaining the whole thing. "He said something strange. About having to destroying me…." Raph growled at this point. "And how I'm related to Dawn." Everyone except for May turned their attention to her. "He said that I'm her ancestor. My descendent, Dawn's father, arrested him and put him in jail that he had to stay for his whole life. He told me he escaped and since he can't defeat Dawn's father, he said he would need to kill me." Vee said. "But, he could just kill Dawn's grandfather when he was young, why kill you?" Raph asked. "He said this was the point where the blood got stronger. I don't know what he meant by that but he didn't like me for sure." 'You remind him of Dawn, that's why.' Paul thought but didn't say that out loud.
"He also said something about Phantom." Vee said, she looked very tired. "What?" Paul asked. "He's related to you. He's Reggie's descendent. And Bellistone tricked Phantom by telling him that Dawn is trying to kill you and your brother." Paul rolled his eyes, "That's nonsense." Vee nodded in agreement. "But I don't think he took it as a joke, since he's here….. Right?" Vee looked around. "He's battling Hilda and the others." Zoey informed. Vee stared at the warehouse. "I hope she's alright." Everyone nodded in agreement.
Dawn was glaring at Bellistone, slowly drawing her pocket knife, thinking about where to stab that can kill him the fastest way. Bellistone smiled. "I don't know why your father sent you here. He could just send some better agents, right?" Dawn growled. "Or was he out of agents?" Dawn threw her Pokeball, releasing Quilava, Bellistone backed up, believing that the Pokemon would attack him. "Smokescreen!" The room was now filled with black gas. Bellistone coughed hard. Considering his age, yeah…. Dawn put her sunglasses on, which can see the temperature difference. She saw two red figures. One was her Quilava and the other was obviously Bellistone. She charged at the figure, holding the knife tightly. She reached close and was about to stab when she felt a punch. She turned around, but nothing was there. She looked around and she missed Bellistone.
"Nice trick, sweetheart." Bellistone said, chuckling. "Where are you?" She asked, focusing to see right through her sunglasses. "How about….. Here?" She turned around and felt a punch in her guts. Quilava squeaked when he heard his master coughing. "It's okay." She managed to say. "Oh, you are fine? Then I think you would need more." She concentrated and dodged as she heard something on her side. "Nice…." Dawn coughed and looked around. She had to think quick. Let's see….. Was there anything useful? Not so much. She was not good with machines. Any other exits? She saw none that looked like an exit. Only machines.
She heard squeaking sound of her Pokemon and looked for the staircase. She ran for it, throwing another Pokeball. When she reached the first step she yelled, "Quilava, Lava Plume! Tonbo, you use Sandstorm!" Quilava squeaked and soon the black hot gas filled with small embers and wind of sand and dust filled the room as Dawn ran for the exit. "Quilava, Tonbo, return!" She shouted as she walked out. Her Pokemons safely returned to their Pokeballs. She heard painful scream as she locked the door from outside.
Her friends spotted her through the window from the outside and ran inside. "Dawn!" Everyone looked around. "Where is he?" Zoey asked. "Down. I used Lava Plume. And I'm sure there are no other exit. He's trapped in there, possibly getting burned." Dawn answered. "So, is this over now?" Paul asked as he helped her stand up. "Hopefully." Dawn said as she walked outside and as they were about to get out of the warehouse they heard a smashing sound on the door, leading to the basement. Dawn turned around, horrid. The sound became stronger every second and soon the door opened.
Bellistone's clothes were tattered and burned. He had burned mark all over his body. He just looked disgusting and horrible, just the way he is. "Guys, run." Dawn said, facing him. "We are not letting you to face him alone." Zoey protested. "I'm not letting you see this thing or just in case I miss." Dawn said, shaking Paul off. "What are you trying to do?" Raph asked, trying to drag her out. "Arrest me!" Bellistone taunted, he didn't look like he could fight. "No." Dawn said, her pocket knife still in her hand. "You can't be serious." Bellistone laughed. "Yes, I am." Dawn charged at him and slashed the vein on his neck. Vee looked sideways. Zoey, Paul, and Raph looked shocked by their friend's action. May woke up and the first thing she saw was Dawn, her face and the knife in her hand covered with blood and on the ground was the corpse of Bellistone.
"Oh my… What did I miss?" May asked, surprised and shocked. But her face was smiling. "It's over, right?" She asked. Dawn nodded and stared at the corpse. "Now the only problem is how we get this thing to the future." May made a grossed out face. "Eew, why?" "Father will have to prove to the union that he caught the bandit, right?" Dawn asked, wiping the blood off of her face. "Yeah, you are right."
"Guys!" They turned and saw their friends coming to their way. Misty gasped as she spotted the body and Dawn's face. "Oh no." Soft voice of Phantom said. Dawn walked over to him. "Jupiter Gift. You are arrested for giving the world in great danger. You helped the bandit Bellistone Among to get his plans done. There is no denial that what you've done isn't wrong." She said and glared at him. Phantom closed his eyes. "Do as you wish."
Dawn clicked the button that called her father. "Dawn, sweetheart, are you alright?" He asked. She was so happy to see her father that she couldn't speak for a moment but she nodded. "Mr. von Viette, Dawn von Viette reporting; we just arrested the man who helped Bellistone activate his plan and Bellistone himself is dead." Mr. von Viette nodded, "I can see from the blood on your face dear." Paul was amazed that there was someone who did not freak out when they saw blood on their own daughter's face. Dawn turned the camera to show the body. "Can you send someone to clean that up? I don't want to touch it." May asked through the camera. "Of course. And you guys?" He asked the girls. The girls looked at each other.
"Father, we would like to stay here for another semester." Dawn said. Mr. von Viette raised his eyebrow. "And why?" The girls looked at each other and nodded. "We want to spend few months of our life as a normal teenager. Not a super top secret agent." May pleaded. "And we just made friends with them." Hilda said, viewing the camera at her friends. Mr. von Viette's expression didn't change. "Please father…. Please?" Dawn pleaded. "Please sir?" May and Hilda said in union. Mr. von Viette stared at them like he couldn't believe what he was hearing. He looked at the friends who were looking at him with pleading eyes. Mr. von Viette sighed and said, "Alright. But after this year is over you will come back immediately. You got that?" The girls squealed and nodded. "Alright, call me later." The screen went blank and the girls squealed, hugging each other and their friends. Hilda even hugged Hilbert, who blushed madly but hugged back. May hugged Misty and then Drew who surprisingly kissed her on the cheek. May blushed and kissed him back on the cheek.
Dawn carefully approached Paul and spread her arms. He smiled and hugged her, kissing her in the forehead. Dawn hugged him tightly and buried her face on his chest. She cried. The faint image of Taru appeared in her head. Now the image was fading and was getting replaced by Paul. She cried more while Paul patted her back. "It's okay…." Although he didn't know why she was crying, he just didn't want her to be sad. "It's alright. Don't cry. Everything is going to be fine." Hilda and May stared at her, remembering the last time Dawn loved someone.
For the rest of the school year the girls pretended to be normal and their friends kept the secret. Surprisingly Hilda and Hilbert were the first ones to go out. Then May and Drew. Paul and Dawn were the last because she rejected his request few times for she needed the time to make up her mind. Tonbo decided to stay with Dawn since he really didn't have anywhere else to go. They spent the happiest moment in their life but was afraid that it would end soon.
The school year was over and Dawn, May and Hilda were done filling the form that they were moving school. They said goodbyes to their friends and returned to their apartment. They looked around and sighed. "I got used to this place so much that it feels weird that we have to leave now." Hilda said. The other two agreed. "We are leaving tomorrow, right?" May asked and Dawn nodded. We should pack up now. They started to pack things up when they heard a knocking on the front door. "Who is it?" Dawn went to open the door and was surprised when she saw their boyfriends standing in there. "What are you guys doing here?" May and Hilda came out of the room and their eyes widened. "I want to come with you." Paul said. Dawn stepped back. "Why?" She asked. "Because I love you." Hilbert said, looking at Hilda who blushed slightly.
"Then you would never be able to meet your family again. Well maybe once a year but not everyday and you would lose your citizenship in here." May said. "It's okay." Drew said as he kissed his girlfriend's lips. "No it's not. You guys belong here. We belong in the future." Dawn said, her eyes tearing up a little. "We belong with you guys." Paul said. The girls looked at each other, nervously. "Did you filled out a form that you guys are going to giving up the citizenship here and things like that?" Hilda asked. "Yes." She face palmed herself. "You guys were serious about that?"
"We wouldn't come here to kid." Paul said. The girls glanced at each other and decided to call Dawn's father. They explained everything that these boys want to go to the future with them. "Well, I need to say that it would be hard to earn the citizenship and everything…. Are they sure about this? They are practically giving up everything they had there and starting a new life." The boys nodded at Mr. von Viette's question. "We are ready." The boys answered. Mr. von Viette sighed. "I don't mind about them coming." He said and turned to the girls. "You are going to help them settle in, right? And finish their school." The girls agreed to help while glaring at their boyfriends. "Then coming it is. Say hello to future."
