Remus Lupin was pretty sure he wasn't gay. I mean, he couldn't be! It's not that he had anything against gay people. No, that wasn't it at all.
It the fact that he felt attracted to his straight best friend. His straight best friend who was witty and sarcastic and hilariously funny. His best friend who put a smile on his face every day and who had a girlfriend.
Remus was sure he wasn't gay. He couldn't be. Right?
Remus was currently trying to read a very interesting book on lycanthropy when he heard the familiar voice of Sirius Black. "Ohhhh, Moonshine!" He called and Remus rolled his goldish-brown eyes, turning a page. Sirius flopped down next to the werewolf, laying his head of shaggy black hair on his shoulder and reading along. "What the Hell are you reading?" The pale teen asked and Remus sighed. "A book on lycanthropy" He muttered impatiently and Sirius pursed his lips, silver eyes brightening. "Oh" Remus nodded and turned another page and when Sirius realized Remus was going to read the whole damn book, he groaned and slumped against the werewolf's shoulder.
Remus smiled and looked down at Padfoot. "Oh, don't be so pathetic Sirius" He said, his amber eyes lighting up. "Are you serious?" The pale teen asked sluggishly and Remus smiled once more. "No, I believe that's you pads" He said and went back to his book. "Oh ha-ha, whatever Mooney" Sirius says in a sarcastic tone while sitting up and thinking about how to get darling Mooney to stop reading that ridiculous book.
"Come on Mooneykins, come to the dark side" Sirius begs and pulls on Remus' arm.
When the shorter teen doesn't relent, Sirius groans and pouts and slumps off toward the door. Remus, when he was sure Sirius was gone, set his book down and sighed. "I'm in love with Sirius Black" His voice was too small and he actually smiled. "Oh my Merlin…"
