"But maybe one day, it will be"

We start with Stoick looking at a man who he has no idea is and does not know why Hiccup, his son is helping him. Stoick looks at his son with a look of confusion, then back to the man in armor.

"Who are you?" Stoick flat-out said. "it's not nice to ask someone their name without telling your's." Alexander said who looks with no worries, but just a smile.

Stoick thought for a moment. the man was right. "Alright then. my name is Stoick The Vast and im chief of the village." Stoick said. "The names Alexander and i'm the rider of this dragon." Alexander points to Feathered. "His name is Feathered" Alexander said.

Stoick looked at the dragon called Feathered. the size of it out matched the ones they have, but then remembered that someone is on his island and all Stoick knows about him is his name. "why are you on Berk?" Stoick asked.

"I had to land... or crash here." Alexander looks at the trees that had fallen over when He and feathered crashed. "Because of that storm, so me and my dragon got beat up from the crash." when Alexander said that, Hiccup just realizes that he lied about being hurt but didn't want to interrupt him or his father.

Stoick looked at Feathered "I didn't know other people rode dragons." Stoick looks back at Alexander as he said that.

"Same for me, I thought I was the only one." Alexander said.

"Guess not." Stoick said. Stoick then saw blood on the show near Feathered. "How badly are you and your dragon hurt."

"I'm a little swore, but my dragon has a bad cut on its right-wing." Alexander said while looking at the dragon's wing, seeing the dry blood on it. "I will need to get something for the wound to heal." Alexander said while looking back at Stoick.

"We can give you what you need." Stoick said. Hoping that giving him what he needs, will make him leave as quick as possible.

"it could take a week for the wound to be healed." Alexander said. "then you can stay at my place." Stoick said. "and try not to get in a fight with the villagers." "As long as you keep them off me for the time, there will be no problems." Alexander said with a smile and glad that someone is helping him. "thank you for the help." Alexander said as he hold out his hand for Stoick to take, Stoick takes it and shakes.

Stoick turns to look at Hiccup and Astrid "You two will take him to the village, show him where he can take his dragon and make sure that it has room." Stoick said.

"chief are you sure you can trust him, I mean he almost got in a fight with the village and he can learn about our dragons." Astrid said.

"Astrid this is only one week and he has a dragon that's three times bigger then any dragon we have, I doubt he wants to learn and I'm sure after what almost happened with the village, that he wants to get off as fast as he can, but I will have in eye on him to be sure." Stoick said.

"can I be the one to keep in eye on him." Hiccup said. "ok then Hiccup, I think he trust you more anyway." Stoick said agreeing with hiccup.

"hiccup you sure, I mean he's armed, he could take your life" Astrid said. she knew when she said that, that Alexander had heard.

"why would I take someones life when they show me kindness and was willing to help protect me from the village, even if it was his own village and thick you Hiccup for seeing me as a friend and not an enemy." Alexander said with a smile.

Hiccup nodded "the forest is to thick for my Dragon to walk though, so we're going to have to fly to the village." Alexander said. changing the topic. "okay then it's not that far from here, so flying there will be quick." Hiccup said. Alexander was glad to here that, then he just remembered something, he left something of his behind the rock where he had his bag at.

"give me a sec to get my bag and bow." Alexander said and made his way to the rock with his bag and bow. "a bow?" Astrid said. "you have a dragon why would you need a bow?" "Because there are times where I won't have my dragon and I need to hit something far away and my bow has never failed me." Alexander replied.

when he got to the rock he pulled out his bag from behind it and placed it on his back, then he pulled out a recurve bow and leather quiver that had been dyed white, in it was white fletched arrows . the bow is made out of wood but painted white same as the armor with a thin gold line that's on the front of the bow that starts from top to bottom. putting the bow and quiver on his back with the bag he reaches for a saddle that was big enough for Feathered.

Alexander walks along side Feathered. Feathered got low enough for Alexander to put the saddle on, feathered even helped getting the belt on, the saddle looked like it help the rider climb on, once the saddle was on good and tight, Alexander then climb on and saddling himself, he looked at the group.

"Ok I'm ready" Alexander said, patting his dragon on the side. Hiccup, Astrid and Stoick got on their dragons ready to head to the village. "Ok just follow us and we will show you where to land." hiccup said. Alexander nodded "Hiccup i will be at the great hall letting everyone know of our guest." Stoick said. "ok." Hiccup replied.

Stoick took off then Hiccup and Astrid. they all started to fly to the village. then Feathered stands on its four legs and extended his wings and with one powerful flap of its wings the beast was high up in the air, flying right behind them and begin following the group of riders.

in only a few minutes they reach the village. Stoick had parted ways heading to the great hall to let the village now of the news. Hiccup looks at Alexander "You can land there" Hiccup said pointing next to the Dragon Academy.

there was a big wide open spot for Alexander and Feathered. perfect flat stone, a great place for feathered to rest and heal.

Alexander turn's his head to hiccup "That will be perfect for him." Alexander said then looks back to feathered "Ok boy lets land right there. Alexander told feathered.

feathered slows down and makes a good landing and he lays down and lowers his head to let himself rest. Hiccup and Astrid then land right next to them, by the time they did Alexander had already got off Feathered and removed his bag.

when hiccup got off toothless he was able to see the wound on feathered and how bad it was, there going to need Gobber for this. Hiccup looks at Astrid. "Go get Gobber and make sure to being supplies for feathered's wound." Astrid nodded than runs off to the blacksmith.

Hiccup then walks up to Alexander, seeing that he's right next to the dragon's wing to see the wound bitter. "Will he be ok?" Hiccup asked. Alexander turns his head to Hiccup, he had a grin on his face. "He will be fine, he's gone though worse." "That's good." Hiccup said with a grin, Hiccup doesn't know why, but he seems to trust Alexander.

"Your friend from earlier doesn't seem friendly" Alexander said. "oh Astrid, she's takes caution with new people that's all." Hiccup said. "someone who is always on their guard, that's not a bad friend to have." Alexander said.

"Yeah I guess your right... So after my dad says its alright for you to walk around the village, I will show you around and where you will be sleeping for the week." hiccup said changing the topic.

"Thanks for the help and care you are giving me and my friend here." Alexander said with a smile and hold out his hand for Hiccup to take.

Hiccup takes it and gives it a handshake "Your wel-" but Hiccup was cut short. "Hey what is he doing here!" a familiar voice said.

Hiccup turns to see an angry Snotlout and the rest of the gang. "Why are you here?!" Snotlout said pointing to Alexander. Snotlout was the last person Hiccup wanted to explain why Alexander is here.

"His dragon is injured and its going to take a week for it to heal, so leaving the inland now would just get them both killed." Hiccup explain.

"So now we have to take care of him, who says?" Snotlout said. "my father and you don't have to, only me and my dad are helping if no one else wants to." hiccup said getting a little annoyed.

"So your dad is just going to let him live here for a week, who's going to which him." Tuffnut said "my dad is having me keep in eye on him and yes, in tell the week is over, he will be staying here." hiccup said.

"He let you in charge of him?, are you sure about that hiccup?, I mean no offense Hiccup but that men can easily kill you." Fishlegs said gesturing at Alexander's built figure, even with his armor on you can tell he's built.

Alexander was just standing in the background with his back to them, checking the wound on Feather. most of the teens are sure he can't hear them, but Alexander has train his hearing to be keen, so he was able listing to the group. Alexander didn't like to be Eavesdropping, but he is on an inland with only one or two people he can trust at the moment and so far he is putting more trust in Hiccup and the part about how he could easily take the life of the boy put Alexander uneasy, he sees how they would be worried, if they are that is, but to say something like that to him had to make him uneasy as will and it did.

"Look guys it all won't matter once the week is over he'll leave and everything will go back the way they were ok and I have toothless he can help." Hiccup was only saying this to get them off his and Alexander's back and move along.

"Fine then!" Snotlout says then walks off heading to the great hall.

"Wait for me" Tuffnet says running after his friend, Ruffent right behind him, waving as she lift "see you around."

"Hiccup, just be carefully" Fishlegs says with a worried look, then follows the group of teens.

Hiccup sighs watching his so-called friends leave, Alexander stands right beside him watching as well, he would had asked what was all that about, but it's not his fight, but maybe one day, it will be, but right now Alexander was wondering how Stoick was doing with the people of the village.

meanwhile

Stoick was having a great time, the village has agreed on letting Alexander stay on the inland as long as he stays on good turns and as long someone keeps an eye on him then there is no problem. all though it was uneasy for the village to find out who Stoick had pick to keep an eye on Alexander, but after what they saw today with Hiccup protecting and helping the man in white armor, they figured that everything will be just fine, or that's what they thought.

Stoick was on his way to leave and tell Alexander that he can stay, with no problem's... hopefully. just as he was about to reach the exit the though the doors of the Great Hall, Spitelout had stop him for a moment and wanted to talk to him about something.

"Spitelout what is it and hurry I need to get hiccup and tell them the news." Stoick said quickly. he's in a hurry.

"Ok, but we need to talk, it's important" Spitelout said with a serious expression.

"About what?" Stoick said, confused.

Spitelout move his mouth closer to Stoick's ear and whispers, "On who becomes the next chief."

Stoick's eyes are then filled with horror after hearing those words, the words he was hoping to hear in year's from now, but no it was on this day that those words are heard.

Then Stoick's eyes narrow at Spitelout "we will talk about this tomorrow at my place." Stoick whispers back.

"Fine then, I will bring the elder to." Spitelout said then walk off with an ugly grin.

Stoick's inside were now filled with anger and worry, Stoick hope's he's not run out of time for Hiccup. Stoick remembers he has something to do and makes his way to where Hiccup and Alexander are waiting to give them the good news and hopes he don't have to give Hiccup bad news.

meanwhile

"So you're the blacksmith and the dragon's dentist?" Alexander asked Gobber. "aye 'at is correct" Gobber replies.

"Hmm, do you think you could give Feathered a check up" Alexander asked "weel sure, ah mean..." Gobber looks at the size of Feathered and remembers the teeth he has.

"As long he dorn't eat me while aam givin' heem a check up, 'en sure." Gobber said, looking back at Alexander.

Alexander chuckled "Oh he won't hurt you, as long you don't make him think he's or me are in endanger, you will be just fine.

Gobber nodded in understanding.

Gobber had showed up just minutes after Astrid had lift and begin to help fix up the wound that was on feathered's wing, luckily it had stop bleeding hour's age and all it needed was a nice cleaned up. After so, Gobber had started talking with Alexander. asking him about the armor, for the fact is, he has never seen armor like it and about where he got his dragon from and how they both landed on the island. Alexander had only answered how he ended on the island, but not the other two, not just yet.

As they both were in a conversation with one another. Stoick could be seen just a few feet away and he was heading this way, no doubt he has his answer if he can stay or not.

"Guys my dad is here" Hiccup said, catching both their attention.

"Ah Stoick, how did it go wi' th' village an' aw." Gobber said.

"Gobber what are you doing here?" Stoick said, he was surprise to see his old friend was here.

"Oh will Hiccup here had wanted me tae help fix up Feathered, so he had sent Astrid tae gie me." Gobber said.

"It was very kind of you to help out." Alexander said, giving Gobber a smile.

Gobber smile grow. "I may not know you yet, but am willin' tae help any Dragon 'at needs it and I'm starting to like you."

Alexander nods at Gobber, 'there are indeed a lot of nice people here.' Alexander thought.

"I see, will I have good news. you can stay here until your dragon's wing is healed, so until then you will be staying with us. Me and Hiccup that is." Stoick said.

"I'm very grateful for this. although it seems there was not much options for me at the time." Alexander said rubbing the back of his neck.

"No, no there wasn't," Stoick replied. "Will i have work to get back to, Hiccup why don't you take Alexander to the house and show him where he will be sleeping for the many night that is to come." Stoick said.

Stoick heads off up to the great hall. checking for any problems on the way there.

"Feathered will be safe here, on one will hurt him." Hiccup said. "that's good and all, but what about that kid from earlier, if he tries to do anything with Feathered I will-" "He won't, Snotlout is dumb, but he's not that dumb." Hiccup replied. "i hope you are right." Alexander sighed. Alexander is tired and has not eaten anything good lately, nor has his friend and Gobber was able to catch on to it.

"Hiccup, take your new friend home and get him something to eat, I'm going to get Feathered here some fish to fill him up for the night." Gobber Said.

just as he was about to leave, Gobber got a big wet tongue across his face. "what the!" Gobber said, as he was getting slobber off his face. he looks to stare at toothless, but was surprised to see Feathered had done it. who was giving him the biggest smile he has ever seen...cute.

In the background Alexander and Hiccup were trying not to laugh at Gobber.

"he's thanking you for being so nice." Alexander said. putting his hand on his chest to help keep his laughter down.

"Ah, will you're welcome" Gobber said, as he reach his hand out and patted Feathered on his nose.

after the two were able to fight off their laughter, Alexander looks to Hiccup "well Hiccup, led the way." Alexander said. gustering for him to make a move on. "oh and feathered, be good to Gobber." Feathered's only replied was a big smile.

Hiccup nodded. heading for his home, with Toothless following right behind them. who has a big grin on his face. Hiccup wasn't sure if it was ok for the man to be saying his name so soon, but really, he didn't seem to have a problem with it.

It only took about five minutes for them to get to the house. once inside, Toothless jump right on his flat rock, but not before heating it up, so that it be warm for him. Hiccup had started a fire in the pit. and grabbed some leftovers pork, cheese and bread.

as Hiccup was doing this, Alexander begin to remove his armor by first removing his clock, then piece by piece of armor. it took time, but after a hard pull of getting the scalemail off and a few bones poping he was finish and he can now relaxes. what was hiding under the metal armor was a long Sleeved grey tonic and brown pants, leaving his plated boots on, there comfortable enough. Alexander sit the white armor in one of the corners of the room, along with his bag, bow and quiver. then sitting at the table, waiting kindly for the food.

though the crack of the door you could see that it was getting late. near time for a good long sleep, but not without a hot meal to end someone's hunger and just at the right time Hiccup had finish making two slices of pork and sliced up some of the bread and cheese and even left some for his father as will.

"Alright, here you go" Hiccup said, putting the plate of food in front of Alexander. then putting his in front of him and sitting down from access him.

"thanks and again, thank you for the help, I really needed it." Alexander said, giving Hiccup a grin.

"you're welcome. its unusually rare for the people to just help someone, they usually would throw outsiders out." Hiccup said, taking a bit of his bread.

Alexander chuckled "will its a good thing that they had a change of heart or i wouldn't be here, now would I." Alexander replied, almost finishing his meal. Hiccup wasn't surprised how fast he was eating, I mean he lives on an inland filled with vikings.

"true, but if my dad didn't stop Spitelout, things would have gotten ugly." Hiccup said, getting worried about Spitelout making trouble himself.

"you are right, but its a good thing your dad is a good leader or thing would have." Alexander replied, finishing his meal. "ooh, that was good, thanks for the food, I needed it." Alexander said, patting his stomach.

"the food at the great hall is better, we can get you some breakfast and as we are on our way there, I can show you around in the morning." Hiccup said. Hiccup then picked up both plates, putting them in a big wooden budget filled with water.

Hiccup yawned. "must be getting late." Hiccup said, using his hands to rub his eyes.

"I think its time for us to go to bed, im also tried, from the crash and all. Alexander said. standing up.

Hiccup nodded. so they both walked up the stairs. to see a hall way, that had two doors on the right and one at the end facing them.

"the first door on the right is yours, if you need me my room is the last door." Hiccup said. pointing to each door.

Alexander nodded. moving to his door and opening at, its wasn't a surprise to him to see a wooden bed. he's seen a lot of things in his life.

"good night Hiccup, see you tomorrow." Alexander said.

"good night Alexan-." but Hiccup was cut short by Alexander. "Hiccup, call me Alex from now no." Hiccup was surprised by this. he didn't think Alex would give him so much trust. "ah, good night Alex, see you in the morning." Hiccup replied. Alexander nodded, then shutting the door behind him. leaving Hiccup around in the hall way.

Hiccup walks to his door, opens it, shuts it behind him. walks to his bed, sits down removes his metal leg and boot and finally laying down wondering whats going to happen in this week. Hiccup thinks the week is going to go by quick and easy and Alex will be long gone. at lest, that's what Hiccup thinks, but there is so much more to these seven days that are to come.
