Chapter 12
A day apart
Bella woke up on her bed alone in only her underwear and under the sheets. She pulled on a shorts and a top and went downstairs, Angela was on the couch fully dressed and sleeping still. She was biting her bottom lip in her sleep. Bella woke her so that they could leave for their day on the beach.
"Ang. Wake up"
"Hmmmmm"
"Cmon waaaake up"
"Hmmm okk"
"So what happened last night?"
"It was so awesome Bella, well I came upstairs and saw you and Alice getting your loving on. So I came back downstairs, I spoke to Liz and then we ended making out too. Nothing like what I saw upstairs but it was so breathtaking Bells."
"I'm glad. So she left with Alice?"
"I guess. Charlie called too, he said sorry but he wasn't coming home. He'd see you tonight."
"Ok maybe it was better he didn't come home, he might have had a burst blood vessel if he saw the orgy going on here."
They both laughed and decided to get done. Bella let Angela shower first while she had some cereal. She also finally had some time to think. Her girlfriend was a vampire, a sexy loving vampire. To her it didn't matter, she did think about Alice's cravings for blood but Alice had promised that she would never hurt Bella. Then where would this promised pain come from?
Bella was still deep in thought when Angela tapped her on her shoulder which gave her a fright.
"What?"
"I'm done. You can go."
She walked upstairs and Bella followed, Angela was only in a towel. A rather small one, Bella could see the bottom curve of her ass. It was unavoidable with Charlie's steep steps. Bella got in the shower run and got it when it was perfectly warm. She started with her hair but when she moved down to her body she had physical flashback, she was touching everywhere Alice had last night. She ran her hand down between her breasts and down her stomach. The cascading water kept washing over her. She felt her nipples which were already standing alert and hard. She was wet already just thinking about this supernatural being who was busy stealing her heart.
"Dammit Alice."
She got out of the shower and got dressed, she tied her hair up in a ponytail and went downstairs where Angela was now eating.
"You ready to go?"
'Yup."
They packed everything and got into Bella's truck. They got onto the freeway, they drove with the windows down because it was a nice warm day.
"So what is going on between you and Liz?"
"I don't know, we spoke about me mostly. She told me that she finished school last year and was taking a break from school. Then we made out and she left with Alice."
"So what do you want out of this whole thing?"
"Bella honestly, when I came over yesterday I wanted to make out with you. Now there's this gorgeous girl, not that you aren't gorgeous, that kisses me and seems totally into me. So I'm still confused as to what I want relationship wise but I do know that I want to kiss her again and be with her again."
"Ok I won't ask any further but you should think about it. Maybe we could even double date."
They laughed and spoke about how excited they were for the day ahead. They got to where they agreed to meet with everyone else.
"Finally, you guys ready for a day on the beach?"
"Yess!"
They went down to the beach where Mike and Ben went down to the water with their surfboards. Angela and Bella walked down the beach wth Jessica and they were talking about school and how they were glad to have some homework free time.
"So when are we going to get prom dresses you know its never too early."
"I don't know I'll have to ask Alice first if she wants to go. Then we'll let you guys know"
"Ok. Look there's some of the res boys." Bella looked to where she was pointing and she saw Jacob. She called out to him and he and two others came running.
"Hey Bella. What you doing here?"
"Enjoying some sun. What are you doing here?"
"You're on the res Bella."
She blushed like she had missed an obvious fact. Jake's two friends were talking to Jessica and Angela so they decided to take a walk and leave them alone.
"So why haven't you been down to visit me yet?"
"Between school and a girlfriend lifes been busy, but I'll come down with Charlie next time"
"Girlfriend? You mean like Girlfriend girlfriend"
"Yes Jake. I told you this already."
"No I thought you meant girlfriend like girl friend."
Bella laughed and Jake just looked away.
"Well that is hot!"
Bella was caught off gaurd by his response but it was how most guys thought about female couples. He continued pestering her about how the relationship worked and who was the boyfriend. Bella entertained him and told him there was no boyfriends just two girlfriends.
"So you tell me something interesting?"
"Well what do you want to know?"
"Tell me something I wouldn't believe"
"Uhm ok let me think"
They got to a log and they sat on it while he looked out over the ocean clearly lost in thought.
"Ok got it. Our tribe is supposedly descendants of wolves. Don't laugh, and they say that the bravest men can still turn into wolves if the need arises. Can you guess what the wolves protect us from?"
"Bears?"
"No. Cold ones, Vampires"
Bella looked at Jacob with complete disbelief. He looked back at her and started laughing
"Come one Bella. Its just a story no need to look so frightened."
"Its a scary story"
Truthfully it wasn't scary, it just hit so close to home that she was shocked for a while.
"Okay no more stories for you then. So what you doing tomorrow?"
"I don't know. Maybe movies with the gang? You wanna join us?"
"Nah anyway Bells I gotta get those two knuckle heads before they think your friends love them"
He ran off towards his friends and when they walked away they could be heard arguing about who liked who.
"Seducing the locals hey Jess?"
Jessica blushed
"Bella they still young. What about you and Jacob?"
"Nope he is an old family friend that's all. Besides I have my lady"
"What?"
"Alice."
"What?!"
"Yeah, we've been dating since the third day of school basically."
"Wow. I would never have thought."
They continued talking about relationships and how Jessica was hoping Mike would ask her out. They somehow got back to school
"So has anyone seen the Cullens?"
"Yeah, but not together. It looks like Rosalie and Emmett are still mad at Edward. Its unfair that the one with the conscience is the one who gets put out."
Bella thought for a while.
"Maybe we should include him in our group. He apologised and he is taking stick from his own siblings so I guess he is kinda one of us?"
"I agree with Bella Jess"
"I guess so too. Let's tell the guys once they're done surfing."
They laid in the sun drinking cola and eating snacks. It started getting dark so they all packed up and drove home. Bella parked next to Charlie's cruiser and found him in the tv room.
"Hi dad."
"Hi Chief Swan"
"Hi Kids. Enjoy the beach?"
"Yes dad."
"Don't worry about cooking I ordered some pizzas which should be here soon."
"Okay, we're going to wash up"
They went upstairs and Bella let Angela have the shower first. She took out her phone and texted Alice.
'You back home yet?'
She waited a minute
'Yeah, you want me to come over?'
'No we'll come to you. Charlie is home'
She went downstairs.
"Hey dad, Alice invited Angela and I over. Can I go?"
"Yeah just be safe. Wild Animals and all"
"Ok dad"
She went back upstairs and Angela was getting dressed.
"Hey we're going to Alice after we eat okay."
"Cool, will Liz be there?"
"Yes you make out mad woman."
They laughed and Alice's reply came through.
'Ok. Will tell Liz, she'll be excited"
They went downstairs and ate with Charlie and spoke about the bears he was looking for and how the day at the beach was. They cleared up afterward and went to Alice and Liz. Angela was real quiet the closer they got.
"You think she likes me Bella?"
"I do. But do you like her?"
"I do. You gonna leave us alone again?"
"Maybe. Depends on what Alice has planned. But I'm sure she won't mind you leaving us alone"
They arrived and walked up to the door where Alice was waiting in the door frame.
"Looking tanned ladies."
They hugged Alice hello and but didn't see Liz. Alice saw the question on Angela's face.
"She is upstairs in her room. You can go up if you want."
"No, its fine. What you have planned."
"Well my plans kinda involve you going upstairs to Liz"
"Oh. In that case bye."
She went upstairs and saw Liz laying across the bed with a book in hand and earphones in her ears. She was reading Romeo and Juliett. A classic which the education system rammed down teenage throats. She was wearing trackpants and a baggy skipper, and she still looked sexy. Angela knocked and entered, Liz took out her earphones.
"Hey."
"Hey"
"How was the beach?"
"It would have been better if you were there"
Liz patted the bed indicating Angela should join her and when Liz pulled her in for a kiss.
