The mission part 6

Carter's POV

The keys are found but I still need to look for this artifact of the ancient race, I found my way out of the tunnels by a sewer system that I found, as I got out I was met by Leonardo.

"Well well well look who came out of the sewer! You need a bath Carter."

"Thank you and I'll be happy to get one, by the way have you seen such artifacts like the the keys here?"

I pulled out the keys, they were not like any keys that exist, they are more round for a key but they must contain some power that I don't understand. I gave one to Leonardo and as he study it he is in complete surprise.

"No I haven't see one in the flesh, this metal is very light but it seems like that this could make a person become greedy by it because of its looks probably."

"I agree with you, one time while I was on my way out I thought I would keep em to my self but no I can't."

"Yeah."

"but do you have any news?"

"That I do, you know that person that you just mentioned?"

"Yeah, what is it, is he dead?"

"Turns out he is a she and we found out where she is."

"You found her! But where?!"

"In a castle just north of here ."

"I see."

"I have taken every assassin there is here, and I even asked for you French assassins to come here in a few days."

"Good cause we need all the men we can get."

"I agree."

"And did you found a way to replace that hook of your or did you found a use of it?"

"I found a way to use it and replace it with other things."

"Good cause you're going to need your sword arm."

"I know, but I have a new sword blade that's designed to go on the metal half-sphere that replaced my hand."

The next five days was a little time blowing because the closer we wait the higher the chance that the girl who is member of the ancient race that came before us, I have studied a little more about them and I found out that they are called semidei or as a single one semideum. The days that came by the Assassins from my home country came and surprise surprise most of the assassins from France were the ones that I recruited, sadly my wife Sophia couldn't come here, but still every day I think of here and my son Andre, I hope that they are safe from any danger, every day I was here I wrote them a letter saying that I am still alive but I do miss them. The time has come to leave for Piemonte, we have packed food and weapons for the trip but not all of the weapons, some of the papal assassins have agreed to stay put, the veterans that we rescued from the traitor assassin are still recovering from what they have been through, I felt sympathy for them since they have been prisoners but they decided to stay put and give support to newly anointed assassins that fought for the assassins defense from the Templar's, since they are young like me they still have much to learn for what they are learning. Today is the day and we are about to leave Rome, but I knew that I must come back for the artifact and I must give it back to the semidei, I have written a note to the mentor back home and he agreed of what my plan was with the artifact, it must return to them and only a semideum must wield it.

Nico's POV (out of the animus)

Finally for many trips of exhausting shadow traveling I arrived at the Institute building, it is a sky scraper like all of the other big business buildings but still like every skyscraper that I still amaze me, even though I'm suppose to be 'what a little over 80 years old?' but that didn't help my age but after that Lotus casino episode that I had is still giving me a headache, but at leased I get the hang of it now. I walked into building and it was neat on the inside as well, I walked up to the front desk and there is a woman sitting and looking at a computer, as I walked up she took a look a me.

"Can I help you sir?"

"Yeah I looking for your boss, can I meet him?"

"I'm sorry sir but he is busy right now at this time."

"But this is urgent."

"Sorry but he can't be disturbed."

"It's a matter of life and death, tell him that there is trouble here and you guys are involved."

"What kind of trouble?"

"That is something I have to tell him myself."

"Ok sir let me get a hold of him."

She took the phone and called the bosses office, I waited for a few minutes but the longer I wait the closer Percy will be to death so I can't waste time so I must hurry up and rescue him from a death that will both end him and his family, Annabeth and Celeste must be safe even if Percy isn't with them, as I was about to explode the fuse went down cause the front desk woman said that we could go to the top floor. She brought me to the elevator and I went strait up to the top floor, after a few seconds the elevator doors opened and I went out to the main office, but as I was going in and got out of the elevator I hear voices talking.

"Come on Bill Desmond's death was not in vain."

"Shaun I know that you are trying to comfort me but still it's all my fault."

"Come on you couldn't have done anything wrong."

"Actually I did, I wasn't a very good father."

"Bill there's nothing you could have done."

"Maybe bu-... Who are you kid?"

"My name is Nico Di Angelo and I come with grave news."

"what kind of news."

"It's something to do with a order of crusader knights."

"The Templar's! What are these Bastards doing now?!"

"Sir please don't swear like that."

"All right Nico but what are they doing now."

"They captured a friend of mine, and it turns out that he is born into this order."

"How do you know of the Assassin Brotherhood?"

"Uh nothing but she actually told me that he is born in this 'brotherhood' of yours."

"Who's she?"

"Juno sir."

"Juno! How did she contacted you?"

I pulled out the 'apple' that Juno gave me, as I revealed it both of the two adults were in a state of surprise, there look tells me that they have seen such artifact, it's all enough for me to know that they have an experience with the marriage goddess.

"Bill you seeing what I'm seeing?"

"Yeah... Nico how did you get your hands on one of these?"

"It was given to me, why?"

"You are holding the apple of Eden, how did you get it?"

"Juno did."

"Your saying that you are a semideum?"

"(shocked) Yes, how did you know?"

"We have helped one before but it's was a long time ago."

"Good cause my friend Percy needs your help, he is a semideum as well even though he is born into your creed."

"We will help you Nico, it's been a long time since we have helped a semideum, let's get these Templar's, Shaun get some agents ready and let's give the Templar's something to remember me by, and this time I will have my revenge for Desmond."

"So you'll help me rescue Percy?"

"Of coarse we will."

Finally I have found some allies that will help me with the rescue, Annabeth will kill me if he is scared or worse, but from Percy I may get strangled and the last time he did that I couldn't breath and I made a mental note 'never anger Percy again and be careful of what my father tells me to do' the last time Percy got angry at me was at Rome because I didn't told him who he was since he's got his memory taken and I don't like to talk about the rest of the journey that I took cause it brings back to many bad memories, but I hope Percy will be happy that I will rescue him.

Carter's POV (in the animus)

We arrived at Piemonte, the castle is just in the middle of the town and the place is swarming with Templar's, I start to think that we should bring assassins to this place in order to get into the castle we must infiltrate it and it must be a night time plan cause that's when the guards are much less alert cause they tend to sleep on the job sometimes, when night falls we start to go on the rooftops of the town and we start our infiltration of the castle, the walls are high so we must climb on the walls but they are steep so our best climber start to climb over the wall and start to go over it, within a few minutes he arrived on the wall and threw a rope down to us so we could climb up easily, as we all got up I start to look for the dungeons, my first thought to look is at the side of the castle and look for any prison bars that shows the dungeon and I was lucky to find one, turns out it is deep underneath the castle and I could tell there is a open hole that's set with bars but the semibeum is not in there but now I know where the dungeons are, I start to climb the walls and made an informant to the other assassins.

"The dungeons are deep below the castle so the only way in is to go through the castles inside."

"So we must break in huh?"

"That we must do."

Now we start to break in the castle, I went to the back door with five assassins, Leonardo and six others will focus on the front door, while the others will look for a way through the windows and other openings, and some must stay out to be on the watch in case the alarm went off. The back door was locked so I used a light ax to open the lock, it was an easy break in but we still have to be on guard, guards may patrol all sides of the hallways so we must be silence, after a few minutes Leonardo came in with his group of assassins.

"Took you guys long."

"And how did you came in?"

"It was an easy job, what about you?"

"The gate was a little hard but we managed to get through."

"Good but now we must get to the dungeons and get out of here."

"Alright let's go."

Getting in was easy but searching the dungeons is another story, we searched the place for an entrance to the dungeons but no luck, then we found a door that led us to a stairs that goes down, we start to descend till we saw torches and doors that holds the dungeons cells, one of them must hold the semideum.

"search the place she must be in one of those cells, check every thing."

"Yes sir."

They start to search the whole place checking every cell there is, it lasted a full four hours but we must hurry up because the sun is about to rise so we must pick up the pace, then one assassin called me and said that there is a female prisoner, witch crimes are so rare and they are not reported here for about three months, so the woman must be the semideum that we are looking for, as I came to her cell I was in complete surprise, the semideum look like a regular human woman but she is allot younger than I thought she be, she looked about twelve years old so she must be a child, as I came in we undo her chains and she fainted on the spot, she is stil breathing which is a relief but she must be thirsty so we gave her some water. bay break is coming in over an hour so we must hurry and take her out, so we help her out of her cell then we start to go up the stairs, as we got out we went through the front gate and there is a wagon waiting at the main gate, we put her up in the wagon and start to leave the castle, we still have a few minutes to go out but then the alarm went of, the guards spotted us and brought out the archers and crossbowmen, as they came out they start to fire bolts and arrows on us, but we went through very fast but hey start to bring the cavalry and gave us a chase. as we got out of town we fire a few arrows and bolts on the horse men that are chasing us, as we escaped we start to head back to Rome but the girl was waking up.

"Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... huh who in Zeus's name are you people?!"

"We are assassins."

"Don't tell me that you are like those knights that are giving trouble to us?"

"No we are not, we are against the Templar's young lady."

"Good cause they have put me in that room for about a month and three weeks."

"That is very long!"

"I know, they want me to get a artifact so they may use as a weapon."

"I see but are you pagant?"

"I am though."

"Then you are definitely a semideum."

"How do you know about us?!"

"All I know is that you are an ancient race that is all."

"I see."

"That artifact that you mentioned, the Templar's must not get their hands on, and the only way for them not to have their hands on is to get it ourselves."

"Get that artifact?!"

"Yes and we promise that you will have it back and we will let you go home."

"Good and thank you for your kindness, I will help you to get the artifact."

"Thank you."

"May the gods bless your family with the sight that mortals have lost."

"Thank you but we must hurry to Rome, the artifact is there so we must get it soon."

"But can you help me with something please?!"

"Any thing."

"My friends and family are about to become victims of a genocide by the Templar's"

With that makes me start to think about something then I have an Idea, my brother is in dept of the Templar's so maybe if I could convince him to help the assassins and send his knights to go after the Templar's and either hang, burn, or probably kill them in their own bed chambers.

"Don't worry young lady I have a plan for them but first you must help us."
