Katniss POV:
1 week later...
It's been a week since I had my surgery. Everything as went back to normal with me and Finnick. He has helped me out a bit and I have taken my mother's advice to not be so closed off with him and everything has been better since then. I still sometimes wish I had been pregnant but I know it was for the best that I wasn't. Haymitch has been going easy on me in training but still makes me do it. the stress from my body has gone away some and I got my period two days ago.
"Princess." Finnick says in a singing voice.
"What?" I groan still keeping my eyes close and throw the covers over my head.
"You need to get up Kitten." He says and I can hear the smile in his voice. He created a new nickname for me and I hate it because I hate cats I'm more of a big dog person.
"Don't call me that. I rather you call me Princess than kitten." I growl at him. I hear him laugh.
"I'm going to keep calling you it until you get up because I know how much you hate it Kitten." He purrs out.
"Well looks like it because I'm not getting up." I say and pull the covers tighter around my head. I hear him sigh.
"Looks like we're going to have to do this the hard way then." He says.
"Finn there is no hard way." I say and then feel the covers being lifted up from my feet and he wraps his hands around my ankles my eyes shoot open knowing what he's going to do.
"Finnick Alec O'dair, I dare you - Ahhh Finnick!" I scream as I desperately try to grab a hold of something to stop me from being pulled. It doesn't work as he keeps pulling me and then lifts me up in the air upside down holding me by my legs. I hate how he can use his height and weight as an advantage against me. I cross my arms upside down and scowl at him.
"Nice to see your smiling face too." He sarcastically smiles
"Put. Me. Down." I growl at him. I have been cranky since I've been on my period for the last two days so Finnick isn't fazed by this.
"Are you going to get in the shower if I do?" He ask me raising an eyebrow.
"No." I say. I mines well not lie to him since there is no reason to.
"Then no I will not put you down." he smirks and then adds, "Although, I know a perfect place to put you down at." He starts to walk into the bathroom.
"Finnick what are you...Oh no I swear to God Finnick, if you put me in there like this then so help me God I will kill you myself." I threaten as he approaches the shower, but it feels like everything I say goes in one ear and out the other. He turns the shower on and then steps in getting me all wet and puts me down and hurriedly steps out and closes the shower door quickly and lean against it so I can't get out.
"Finnick! You are so fucking childish." I yell at him as I still sit under the water in my underwear.
"This was the only way to get you out the bed and into the shower without having you try to claw at my face as you try to make a break for it or distract me like yesterday." He says shrugging. I huff knowing I'm not going to win this argument so I get up and take off my underwear that are soaked and fling them over the door hopefully it lands on Finnick. I start washing my body and then shampoo. I started noticing my new growth and needed to talk to Cinna so he can touch it up before people start to notice. I rinse off and bang on the door to tell Finnick that I'm done. The door opens and he hands me my towel. I dry off and walk out to get some underwear. I put them on and then a pad and walk in my closet ignoring Finnick's attempts to try to talk to me. I'm just going t give him the silent treatment for payback because he hates it when I ignore him, makes him feel not wanted.
I get in the closet and think about what to wear when I remember that we have a game today, so I have to wear my cheer-leading outfit with the captains jacket. I sigh because I hat these outfits the skirt is way too short and the shirt is way too tight for my chest so my chest pops out some at the top. I pull on my short-like underwear spandex over my real underwear and put on a sports bra over my real bra. I then put the outfit on and take the captains jacket off the hanger and put it on. I put on my all white cheer shoes and grab blue, white, and black ribbons to put in my hair. I put my long hair up in a high ponytail with the ribbons in it.
I walk out and do my make-up. I notice Finnick in my mirror getting dress. He's wear tan khaki shorts, a white V-neck and puts a denim jacket-shirt over it and his white Vans. I advert my eyes so he won't notice I was watching him get dress. He then walks past me while whistling at me and then giving my ass cheek a good squeeze. I growl lowly at him but he just ignores it like it's nothing.
I finish with my make up and put deodorant on and brush my teeth. I walk out of the bathroom and grab my bag and my phone and go downstairs not waiting for Finnick just because I don't feel like it. Once I get downstairs I go straight for the kitchen where Sae is and she hands me a plate and on the plate is a blueberry bagel with cream cheese and turkey bacon on it. I smile at her in thanks and sit down to start eating. I hear Jo before I even see her.
"You know brainless, I have always hated those uniforms." She says from behind me. I shrug.
"Your not the only one Jo." I mutter. She takes a seat next to me and I take in what she's wearing. Light blue jeans, black combat boots and a black tank top. She has her hair down for a change and has gold studs on with little make up. I wish I could have worn those cozy clothes instead of this tight outfit with no sleeves and my face caked in make up and glitter.
"It looks like glitter took a shit on your face." She snots grabbing a plate Sae is giving her. I roll my eyes at her.
"At least my face doesn't look like shit all the time unlike some bodies.." I retort trailing off at the end. She bursts out laughing.
"Nice come back brainless." She says chuckling as Prim comes over to us wearing the same thing I'm wearing and sits down on the other side of me.
"What you two up to?" she ask raising an eyebrow. I shrug.
"Just Jo insulting me like her usual self." I say. She nods.
"Where's Finnick?" she ask. I shrug.
"I"m right here deary." Comes Finnick and wraps his arms around my waist from behind and kisses my cheek sloppily. I wipe the kiss off my cheek and push him away pretending to be disgusted and mad at him still, but it's hard to be mad him for long.
"Ew..Finnick I don't know where your mouth has been." I say. His eyebrows shoot up.
"Oh really?" He ask innocently. I nod.
"Yeah, but I know where their going to be soon." I wink at him. He laughs and shakes his head.
"I don't doubt it." He chuckles.
"Okay, ew...I'm guys I'm eating here." Jo says.
"Okay and?" I ask her.
"And I don't want to hear about where Finnick's mouth will be when your off your period. That's just disgusting." Jo says over dramatically.
"Yeah, I think I'm going to be scarred for like with that image you just put in my head." Prim comments making a disgusted face. I just shrug.
"Don't act like yu don't like it when Gale or Rory does it to you." I tease. Prim blushes.
"Damn right I like it, but not when I hear about it by someone else." Jo states. I roll my eyes.
"Whatever. Come on, let's just go and get this day over." I say and grab my things and my phone. Finnick grabs hold of my waist and pulls me close to him as we walk to the Jeep. I hand him the keys.
"Your driving." Is all I say. He nods and gets in the driver's seat and I get in the passengers and Jo and Prim get in the back.
We get to the school and get out. Finnick puts his arm around my shoulder and I bring my hand up to entwine our fingers together. We start walking and Prim and Jo go meet up with Gale and Rory. Finnick walks me to my locker and I hear Cashmere and Glimmer talking on the other side of the hall. Prim tells me I have ears like a bat that can pick up anything.
"What does he see in that little slut." I hear Cashmere ask Glimmer.
"I don't know, but you would look way better with him than her." Glimmer comments back.
"I mean just look at her. She doesn't even deserve that Captains Jacket. I should have gotten it instead of her and her bitchy sister. She doesn't even look good in it." She complains. I feel anger boiling in me as she called Prim bitchy. I let out a growl and detach myself from a very confused Finnick. I walk across the hall to where they are and stop right in front of them, they look at me.
"You want to say it to my face? Instead of behind my back?" I growl darkly. They look at me stupidly. Dumbass blonds I think to myself.
"What are y-" Glimmer starts but I cut her off.
"Listen here, I hear and see everything that goes on. So don't play stupid with me. If you want to talk about me and my sister then say it to our faces instead of being cowards and saying it behind our backs." I say to them. Cashmere just glares at me.
"You can't do anything and even if you do, you'll just be suspended again and no school would want a record like yours. Your just all talk and no action bitch. I'm surprise Finnick is even with you still when he should have been with me all along." She sneers. I shake my head.
"I might get suspended, but you'll be in the hospital again and not just with bruises and broken ribs. I'll break every fucking bone in your god damn body if you ever talk about my sister again. I will fucking kill you if you even go near Finnick. Don't test me bitch because last time was just a test run. This time around will be for real so stay the fuck away with your friends or I'll make sure to put you in a hospital bed. And get this through that thick skull of yours. Finnick. Doesn't. Want. You!" I say as I get lifted up from the floor and I know who it is by how strong the arms and tan the arms are.
Finnick.
He starts walking away with me. I don't protest but I do look back and see Cashmere and Glimmers faces redden in anger or embarrassment. I could really careless which it is. I give them both a deadly glare and say
"Watch your fucking back bitches." and I turn back to face the front.
"What am I going to do with you Princess." He teases. I shrug.
"You wanted me, so you figure it out Pretty Boy." I tease back. We get in to home room and Prim and Jo start laughing as they see Finnick holding me in the air against his chest with just one arm around my waist. He walks us over there and sits down making my sit on his lap as he still holds onto me.
"What did she do this time." Prim chuckles amused.
"Nothing yet."I state.
"Who was it that had you so pissed. Your cheeks are still red." Jo ask.
"Glimmer and Cashmere." Is all Finnick says. Prim and Jo make an ' O' shape with their mouths.
"Yea, but everything's fine. I threaten to break every bone in their body and put them in a hospital bed. So they should be straight." I say nonchalantly. Jo bursts out laughing and then Prim follows in her foot steps.
"That probably put them in their places." Jo says in between laughs. I nod and put my head in the crook of Finnick's neck. I inhale his scent deeply and sigh.
"Are you smelling me?" He ask with amusement in his voice. I nod into his neck.
"You smell good. What is it?" I ask smelling him again.
"Soap." He says. I laugh.
"Wow you smell good without putting anything on." I exclaim.
"I try." he says. I shake my head at him chuckling, but my chuckles die in my throat as I see Cashmere and Glimmer walk into Home room looking our way. I give them a death glare that would put them then feet under if it could. They both look at the ground walking to their seats.
"I was right. You put them sluts in their places." Jo says proud.
"They better mind their business before they get that ass beat." Prim says. I laugh because it's true.
The rest f the day goes by quickly with a lot of glares from Glimmer when she sees me walking with Peeta. I had forgotten she liked Peeta...to bad it'll never happen. Finnick, Prim, and I are after school getting ready for the game. Finnick is only staying because he we drove him here and because he wants to support me. Jo had left with Gale so we won't be seeing her until later when we get back home.
"So yu girls ready?" Finnick as Prim and I.
"Yea, but I'm not letting Rose do any flips out there because she is still recovering." Prim says. I roll my eyes.
"Guys, I am perfectly fine." I say. They shake their heads.
"No. The doctor said two weeks until your fully healed." Finnick says. I nod not wanting to argue with him.
"Alright guys let's go." Prim yells so all of our other team mates can hear. Finnick pulls me into a hug.
"Good luck and take it easy, please." He begs. I nod my head. He smiles. " Good. I'll be all the way at the top of the bleachers if you need me." He says giving me a kiss on the lips and forehead and begins to walk away. I follow the girls out and we start to stretch and warm up.
After the game had ended Finnick, Prim and I are the last ones to leave. We walk to the parking lot to our cars when coach Boggs comes out.
"Have a nice night." He says walking to his car. We wave at him and keep walking then out of no where I'm pushed to the ground hard making me hit my head on the concrete.
"Fuck!" I shout with my eyes close holding my head.
"Rose! Rose!" Prim screams. My eyes snap open and I see Finnick slumped on the ground and Boggs fighting with a guy. I don't see Prim. My vision blurs a little but I push past it and stand up looking around for her.
"Prim !" I shout.
"Katniss! Rin-" She gets cut off. I finally spot her struggling against a guy in all black who has a gag over her mouth and her eyes covered. She's pointing to something to, but I can't dwell on that yet. I run for them, but then I'm tackled to the ground out of nowhere. I howl in pain because I'm not fully recovered from my surgery.
"Stay down bitch if you know what's good for you." a unfamiliar voice says and then gets up off of me.
"Katniss!" Finnick yells. I ignore him and get up slowly. I blindly look around for Prim and I see two guys carrying her to a black car.
"Prim!" I yell again and run stumbling to her, but they get in the car before I can reach them. I curse and run straight to my jeep. I see Finnick and Boggs follow right behind me. We all get in and I start the car. the black car speeds out of the parking lot and is down the street by the time my fucking Jeep wants to start. I follow them only 5 feet behind them swerving between cars.
"You think you can get close enough so I can shoot the tires?" Boggs yells over the wind.
"Yea get ready." I yell back and step all the way on the gas pedal. We get a little more closer to them but the fucking cars keep getting the way. Boggs shoots one tire and then we hear the police sirens.
"We are not going to be able to get her." Boggs yells still shooting.
"Don't you fucking say that!" I yell feeling my stomach drop to my feet.
"Katniss, the police will catch us and then we will never get Prim back." Finnick yells trying to make me see reason. My grip tightens on the steering wheel as I think.
"Got damn it!" I say and make a sharp turn into the forests and shut off all the lights. While we sit in complete darkness I make an silent promise.
They will pay,
They will all pay for taking her and him away from me.
I will give them hell and nobody will stop me.
I will kill anyone if it means getting them back to me safely.
No Mercy.
Only pain.
I hear the police go by and we wait another 5 minutes just to be sure. Finally when I think the coast is clear we leave out slowly and go back to my house.
"Haymitch!" I shout once I get into the house with Finnick and Boggs.
"Sweetheart, calm down I'm right he...Agent Boggs?"Haymitch says looking confused. I don't even bother to ask why.
"They got Prim, Haymitch. They got her. they ambushed us in the parking lot. Why would they take her and not me? I"m the one with the drive, so why not me?!" I ask fanatically pacing back in forward whiling running my hand through my hair trying to think why Prim and not me. I feel someone pull me to their chest. I sigh and relax a little knowing it's Finnick.
"Sweetheart. Tell me exactly what happened?" Haymitch says calmly but I know he is tearing up on the inside.
"After the game we were walking to the parking lot and Boggs had came out and said bye and started walking to his car. Then out of nowhere I was pushed to the ground and I hit my head hard. I didn't know what was going on because my ears were ringing from the impact and then Prim started calling for me. I tried to get her, I really id but I got tackled to the ground again and Prim was trying to tell my something but they gagged her before she could get out what she was trying to say. Then my vision got blurry and I couldn't find her. then I saw her being carried away by two guys dressed in all black. I run after them but they were ahead of me and got into their car and drove off. We followed them and Boggs shot one of their tires, but the police came and we had to hide or their would be no changes of us getting her back if they caught us." I tell him getting frustrated that I was so helpless.
"Are you sure their isn't more we can work with here?" Haymitch ask. I shake my head at him and try to remember what the hell she was trying to say to me before they gagged her. Think Katniss think. What could have been so important to Prim that she wouldn't try hard enough to fight back. It's like...She wanted to...get captured...Holy...
"Motherfucker. I know what the fuck she did." I say out loud and then start laughing hysterically. They all look at me like I have lost my damn mind, but I know I didn't yet.
"Katniss, what are you talking about ?" Haymitch ask. I stop laughing and shake my head.
"It all makes sense now Haymitch. She wasn't struggling hard enough because if she was she would have been able to take him down and you know it. She wanted them to take her." I tell them slowly.
"But why?" Boggs says not really getting how my sister's mind works. I look at Haymitch and he's smiling finally catching on to what I'm inferring.
"She's leading us to your father." Haymitch says and realization dawns on Finnick and Boggs.
"Do you really think they will take her to where he is? And even if they did how would we find them we have nothing to track them down." Boggs explains. I smirk.
"What she was trying to tell me before they gagged her. She was trying to get out the word 'Ring' thinking that is all I would need to understand the meaning of it. You see Boggs, our Dad put trackers in our rings that we wear all the time and our bracelets are walkie-talkies so we can talk to each other if the other is in trouble. Our Dad told us if we ever get caught to press the tiny red button on the inside of the ring and it will send a signal for Haymitch to come and find us." I explain.
"Let's go into my office and see if we can locate where she is now." Haymitch says turning walking quickly to his office. We all follow. When we get in there he closes the door and presses a button and a wall moves. I look at where the wall once was and see it's a control room.
"Wow." I say as I take in everything. A red blinking light catches my eye.
"Haymitch what's this?" I ask him as the light keeps moving.
"That's your sister." He says smiling. I smile back but then it drops as does my stomach.
The light disappears.
I feel my blood start to boil and I explode. I grab a vase and throw it against the wall and for the something else to take my anger out on, but someone catches my wrist.
"Stop it. This isn't going to help us get her and him back. We need to focus Katniss." Haymitch all but shouts. I nod trying to calm down. He lets g of my wrist and I go into Finnick's open arms knowing this will get me to stay calm. I bury my head in his chest and sigh. I don't cry because I need to be strong for the both of them, they would want me to. I can cry later when I get them back, but now is not the time.
"What are we going to do Haymitch?" I ask clueless.
"Looks like we are going on a trip." He says.
"A trip? Where?" I ask perplex.
"Washington D.C." He says and then adds " Bring the flash drive with you. Were going to need it."

Dear god, I am so sorry that I basically lied to you guys about updating Friday and Saturday. I abandon you people and for that I am truly sorry. I hope this Chapter makes up for it.
As you all know I am on a break from school so I hope to update more often before I have to go back to school.
