Authors note: I wanna let you know that for right now I'm going to write this story in third person I hope you guys don't mind it's just I think it will be a bit easier for me. (;-_-)
As and Keito ran back to the motel they both hoped and prayed that Ren had been able to calm down Misaki so they wouldn't have to face his wrath. Inside the motel they ran past the the desk clerk who was sprawled out across the desk sleeping. As they ran past the many rooms of the motel Alfred wheezed out, "Why did we pick a room that was so far away!"
Keito looked at his brother wearily and saw that there room was only a few more doors down, he smiled triumphantly as they finally came to a halt. Keito looked anxiously at his brother who had his hands stuffed down his pocket searching for the room key.
"Ah hah!" Alfred exclaimed as he took out the key from his pocket and fumbled to get the door open. Kaito sighed in relief as he heard the click of the door as it unlocked and his brother threw the door open and yelled," Misaki we got the ciga-!"
"Be quiet Misaki just crashed and I don't wanna wake him up again!" Ren hissed from the bed as he gently took Misaki's head from his lap and walked towards the two brothers who were looking at him wide-eyed. Ren sighed." He fell asleep after finishing that brandy bottle and I can see how much coming back to Japan is hurting him so let's just let him sleep." Ren said softly.
Both Keito and Alfred looked back at their sleeping friend and felt sadness wash over them as the silently nodded their heads and walked over to Ren who was now sitting on the floor staring at the wall. "Damn!" Ren cursed out as he ran his hand through his black hair.
"What is it?" Alfred and Ketio asked in a unison.
"It's just." He paused,"During that whole damn dinner that Akhiko guy looked as if he had no idea what going on, like he didn't know what Misaki was talking about when he told his brother that his boyfriend cheated on him!" Ren growled out. "The nerve of that guy acting as if he had no idea what Misaki was talking abou- Wait!" Ren exclaimed as he stood up and began to pace around the room.
"Ren what's wrong?" Keito asked wondering at his friend suddenly strange behavior.
"Maybe...that Akhiko guy really didn't know what Misaki was talking about," he paused and began to pace around the room once again, "Perhaps when Misaki saw him kiss that girl maybe it meant something else you know maybe, Misaki just assumed he was cheating."
All three men thought in heavy silence as they contemplated whether Rens hypothesis was correct or not."Well we won't know the real story if we don't ask Akhiko ourselves because you really do have a good point Ren,"Alfred stated thoughtfully.
"Your right Alfred I think it's about time we pay Akhiko a little visit and straighten out this whole mess," Ren stated as he stood up and walk towards the door till a soft voice stopped him dead in his track.
"What if what you said was true and Akhiko didn't cheat on him, what will you do?" Alfred questioned his friend. Keito shot his brother a shocked look and was about to yell at his big mouthed brother until Ren cut him off and spoke.
Ren signed and looks at both brothers with sad eyes," I- will break up with Misaki and let him be with Akhiko because let's face it, Akhiko can bring so much more happiness to Misaki than I ever could." Ren paused and took a shaky breathe," I don't want my selfishness ruin misakis chance of true happiness."
"You really are a good man Ren, so much better than any of us," Ketio said smiling tightly as they once again stood in unbearable silence until Alfred stood up and spoke out.
"Well come on you guys its time for us to be the fairy godmothers, wait er..fairy godfathers to this Cinderella story and let there be a happy ending to this sad beginning!", Alfred said earnestly, his eyes sparkling childishly. "Its time for us to help Misaki and repay him for all the times he helped us when we were in need and hurting on the inside!" Alfred said as a grin grew on the the somber faces of Ketio and Ren as they ruffled Alfred's hair.
Ren chuckled and gave both brothers a loop-sided grin. "Now I want the both of you to go into the lobby and wait for me there" Ren stated as the two brother looked at each other and shrugged there shoulders as they walked out of the door. In the distance Ren could hear Ketio and Alfred fighting as they began a shouting at one another, Ren chuckled at their behavior and walked towards Misaki who was still asleep. Ren looked down at misaki and gently kissed his head before scrawling on a piece of paper that they would be back soon.
Before he walked out of the door Ren looked back at Misaki who began to lightly snore and said," I love you Misaki," and with that he walked out of the door and went to the lobby to meet Alfred and Keito.
Once he reached the lobby he stalked towards the now awake desk clerk who was currently on his laptop. "Excuse me sir?" Ren asked politely as the man looked at him with bored eyes. "Would you please allow me to use your laptop for just one moment?"Ren asked showing a bright and friendly smile.
"Why the hell would I let some fag use my laptop, why don't you and your slut of a boyfriend leave my site ," the desk clerk slurred as he looked at Ren with a dark and menacing glare. Ren saw red and grabbed the man by the collar of his stained white shirt.
"Now listen here, I don't care what you have to say about me but never talk about Misaki like that you piece of shit!" Ren screamed in rage as his fist collided into the mans jaw and he fell onto the ground with a loud groan.
"What the hell is wrong w-" The man started until a foot was placed firmly on his throat.
"You better not ever talk shit on my boyfriend again or else I will hunt you down and rip you limb from limb," Ren said with absolute fury on his face as he took his foot off the mans throat and fell onto the computer chair. The desk clerk nodded his head and looked away from Rens venomous glare. Then with a huff of irritation, Ren sat onto the computer chair and began typing away.
"Wow Ren you sure can be really scary when you wanna be," Alfred said as he and his brother slowly edged away from their angry friend.
"What are you looking up on that laptop anyway?" Keito questioned still shaken up from his friends outburst.
"We'll I'm looking up the address to Usami Akhikos house so we can go and talk to him," he said as he took a pen that was on the desk and wrote down the address of Akhikos home onto a napkin. "Well you guys lets go then," Ren said as he placed his arms around Alfred's and Keitos shoulders and walked out of the lobby.
Once outside Keito said,"Damn that desk clerk sure was one hell of a bastard." Keito seethed in angry thinking what the man had said about his two friends.
"Yep biggest bastard!" Alfred exclaimed looking back at the motel and glaring at it.
"Umm.. Guys?" Keito questioned making both Ren and Alfred to turn around and raise a questioning brow at him.
"What is it" Both asked looking at Keito as if he had grown two heads.
"Ummm... well how exactly get there cause I don't really like this area and well we have no ideas were we could get you know a ride since we don't have cars or anything." Keito told the two who groaned att heir own stupidity.
"Geez I totally forgot about the whole how we get there sort of thing" Ren moaned.
" Well I mean Japan can't be any diffrent then New York so we could just ask someone for the bus schedules i mean we were able to deal with the people of New York wi aren't the most friendliest in the world." Supplied Alfred helpfully.
Both Ren and Keito looked at each other and smirked making the hairs on the back of Alfred's neck stand. " That's a really great Idea bro I never new you had it in you I mean your normally well more of the side kick of the group." Teased Keito ruffling his brothers hair.
Alfred flushed angrily at his brothers and Ren chuckled. Alfred growled and pointed his finger at his brother and Ren yelling angrily." I'll show you assholes ill prove I ain't no lacky!" Alfred then took off to search for a way of transportation leaving behind a dumbfounded Keito and Ren.
Ren looked at Keito smirking," I really didn't think he would fall for that sometimes your brother can be really dense."
" Ya I know he can be really dense at times but I do feel bad for leading home on like that." Keito said grinning widely. "But you know Ren are you sure you can give up Misaki just like that I knew how crazy you were for Misaki." Keito said his face turning serious.
Ren sighed and looked up at the slowly darkening sky," I love Misaki that's why I have to protect him but you know how broken up Misaki was after he died it completely devastated him and you know how he has that tendency to blame things on himself and not show what he feels so he won't feel like a burden, I can't watch as his life slowly spirals out of control but I'm no longer capable of helping him the only one who can help him his Akhiko because that's who Misakis heart will always belong too no matter much how much I try to be his nimber 1".
Keito looked at his friend sadly. "I'm really glad to have meet Misaki you know even though he can be violent and scary he is such a great person and friend I know you want to help him but you love Misaki so much I can't just watch you let him go dammit!" Keito yelled angrily feeling tears prickle at his eyes.
Ren looked at his friend and smiled and began to speak wise words of someone who has had much experience within his short time living," It's because I love him that's why I wish to protect him and if the only way I can protect him is by letting him go then so be it." With those words Ren turned his heel and walked forward.
Keito had long ago stopped in his tracks and looked at his friends in sheer awe the words Ren spoke were truly beautiful. When Keito finally came to his senses he saw his friend had almost walked a half a mile ahead of him. "W-wait for me Ren!" Keito clumsily trying to catch up with his friend who was walking quickly ahead of him.

As Misaki woke he found a note next to his head on it said that Ren, Keito and Alfred had went out and would be back in a few hours. "Hmmm.. what the hell,"Misaki stated groggily as he sat up and rubbed the grim of his eyes.
"I wonder what those idiots are up to know?" Misaki questioned out loud and threw the note carelessly on the floor and tried to stand up. As soon as he did that, his foot got caught to Alfred's and Keitos make-shift bed and he fell to the floor face first "Shit!" Misaki yelled before he collided onto the the two brothers sheets.
"Owwwww.." Misaki groaned as he flipped onto his back and began to stare intently at the ceiling as he watched a large spider scurry across it. Misaki scrunched his nose in disgust ,"Ewwwwww that's disgusting,"
"God this place is a hellhole," Misaki muttered under his breath and sat up. When he did this he noticed a small white packet a few feet from the door. "Hmmmmm... I wonder what that is?" Misaki questioned to himself as he crawled towards the packet and picked it up. "Oh my cigarettes, totally forgot about these," he stated and sat onto the carpet Indian style.
He sighed contentedly as he took out a cigarette, lit it up, and took a long drag from it. He stared off into space as he began to think back to his first couple of months in New York.
Flashback...
When he and Ren arrived to the airport in New York Ren had introduced him to his many friends.
Although before Ren could introduce Misaki a woman around 20 came flying out of the large group of people squealing as she jumped onto Misaki hugging the living day lights out of him.
"Ohh what a little cutie I can't believe someone as cute as this would actually hang out with you you Ren!" She said sweetly as she began twirling around the embarrassed Misaki as he was hugged firmly into her breasts. When she finally stopped dancing around her firm grip only tightened as she bombarded Ren with a thousand different questions about the stranger.
Misaki struggled for air as he began to trash around in the firm grip of the unknown girl whom continued asking Ren who the cutie was. Ren looked at Misaki in pity," Ummmm... Claire you might wanna let go of him". He told her as he watched his friend trash violently in her arms.
Claire pouted cutely and said " But whyyy?" She whined.
"Because Claire he can't breath," he said pointed at Misaki who went limp from lack of air. Claire gasps as she let go of Misaki and began to shake him.
"HEY ARE YOU OK!?" She cried as she spoke Misaki finally came too from her insistent shaking.
Misaki stared up at the women wide eyed and stuttered," Wh-o a-are y-you?"
Her eyes brightened as she latched onto Misaki once again squealing,"CUTTTTEEEE!" When she finally calmed down she was latched onto misakis arm and asked,"Now what is a angel like you doing with a bastard like Ren?" She asked pointing to a disgruntled Ren.
Misaki felt a lump in his throat as the eyes of all Rens friends stared directly at him. He tried to take a deep breath as he tried to hold back the tears that were threatening to spill. Claire seemed to notice Misakis change in demeanor and smiled warmly at him and introduced herself," Well my name is Claire Asami what's yours," Claire asked holding out her hand.
Misaki wiped away the tears in his eyes and smiled at her and said," My name is Misaki Takashi."
She smiled brightly and launched her self onto him called him cute once again,she then began to spin him around in circles until Ren grabbed her and led her away from the confused and obviously shaken Misaki ," What the hell Ren what was that for" Claire said obviously annoyed at Ren for taking her away from Misaki.
"Your going to scare him if you keep doing that." He said as he pitched the bridge of his nose in irritation.
" Well I just wanted to get to know him a bit better." Claire said making a grabbing motion towards Misaki who flinched.
Ren sighed." You guys will all get a chance to get to know him a bit better but he's having a couple of problems right know and you acting all strange wont help him." Claire sent Ren a questioning look at Ren he sighed and leaned close to her and whispered into her ear." "It seems his boyfriend of 4 years cheated on him with a women."
Claire's eyes lit in rage as Ren said this and she yelled," A cutie like you got their heart broken!" She yelled in outrage. Misaki nodded glumly as she then began," Who hurt who I'll kill them!" She said a deadly glint in her eye.
"Shhhhhhh... Not so loud Claire!" Ren hissed.
"Umm whoops sorry." Claire whispered sheepishly and walked towards Misaki who was looking down at his feet.
"U-mmm... well it's my fault anyway I should have noticed he didn't love me anymore," Misaki whispered sadly.
Claire looked at him sadly and went over and hugged him tightly. Misaki sighed and buried his face in her golden hair. She whispered soothing words in his ears, allowing to feel a moments of piece until the heavy silence was broken by an unknown voice spoke out. "Well I know what will help mend that broken heart," A man with purple hair and blue eyes spoke as he paused for dramatic effect. "Bozzzeeeeee!" He yelled linking his arms to Misaki and gave him a wide toothy grin. Misaki looked back nervously at Ren who was walking out of the airport chatting with his excited friends.
Misaki groaned and felt Claire's arm link up to his other. "I'm not much of a drinker," Misaki squeaked as he was dragged away from the airport. The unknown man looked at him in surprise then gave him a hard pat on the back making Misaki cough.
"We'll kid if your gonna hang out with a group like us you'll definitely learn to drink." True to his word Misaki spent the night in a large bar trying drinks of all flavors and sizes, although he hated the taste the alcohol left in his mouth he enjoyed the feeling of joy it gave him after each mouthful. Misaki being the lightweight he was passed out in the bar quicker than the most.
When Misaki awoke he was still in the bar head resting on the hard wooden table. Misakis head pounded as he sat up and felt dizzy from the movement, he tried to brace himself as his head spun. He blinked a few times before wiping away the drool on his cheek and wiping it onto his shirt. Misaki looked around and saw Ren passed out on a couple of chairs snoring like a steam train while Claire was laying on the counter of the bar her blond hair covering most of her face.
He saw many of Rens friends were all over the bar sleeping away. Misaki knew that they had told him their names but most of what happened that night was a blur to him. Misaki stood up all the muscles in his body ached and his head felt like it had been run over by a steamroller. He yawned and staggered past body's of people who layed sleeping on the floor looking for a glass of water to quench his parched throat.
On the counter of the bar laid a single glass of water that Misaki took and drank it down in one large gulp. Misaki sighed as he felt the cool water ease his dry throat. Misaki felt tears prickle at his eyes as he thought of Usagi-San. He huffed and quickly wiped away his tears and promised himself," I'll never let anyone walk over me like that again, someday...," He paused. "I'll show them all I how strong I am."
End of flashback...
Misaki thought back at the promise he had made to himself that day when he thought he had lost everything he had found a way to keep going and change himself. "But you wish things could go back to the way things were before..." A voice in the back of his mind spoke to him. He hated this voice it always told the truth that misaki was not prepared to hear.
"You know you love him just accept it and go to him, don't deny you need him even if your too much of a coward to admit it." Misakis inner voice told him viciously. E knew the words being said were true but he couldn't help but flinch at his own harshness. The voice continued to speak its cruel words of truth to Misaki," Why make a promise to become stronger when all you are doing is running away like a dog with its tail between its legs!" The voice spoke each word harsher then the next making Misaki feel bitter sadness settle in his heart. " Look in the mirror then you will see that you are a coward running away from your true heart putting on a a tough act do you think Erin would want you to act thisnway he didnt sacrifice himself for you so that all you would do was hide within yourself look in the mirror see what a coward you are!"
"LOOK AND SEE!" The voice yelled angrily.
"Fine ill look into the godamn mirror!" Misaki yelled as he threw open the door and he looked into the broken mirror and really saw himself. Misaki looked pale and gaunt he had dark bags under his eyes and it was almost as if he aged 20 years. He looked and saw a broken and bitter man within the cracked mirror. He was shocked at this revelation and stared within the mirror unblinking. In his still druken madness it was as if he saw his old self staring back at him with a sad smile and his reflections mouth began to move.
" You know you can't keep running Misaki I love you and that is why I wish to protect you but, the only way I can protect you is for you to let go of what happened i know that this isn't all because of what you saw usagisan do put you regret not having been ab,e to protect Erin at that time." Tears ran down Misakis face as he heard these words and felt his stomach twist into painful knots. "Erin died protecting you but you have to let go you can't keep allowing his death haunt you it isn't your fault he died, he wanted you to live and come back to face what happened, he helped you with that but after he died you hide behind a mask." Misakis old self paused and looked back at Misaki with watery eyes," you know it's time to let go of what happened in the past and no longer let this hatred and bitterness consume you allowing it to run your actions- please Misaki it's time to let g-"
"I KNOW" Misaki yelled as he balled his hand into a fist and rammed it into the mirror destroying it. " I already know that don't you think I haven't thought about this over and over but I can't let it go its too much to handle I can't!" Misaki sobbed hot tears spilling down his face. "I just can't let go- i can't" Misaki whispered sinking to the tile floor cradling his bloody hand as he wailed in anguish as he felt more alone than ever before.
Authors note: Hey guys its been a while hahaha -_-; I'm not dead I've been pretty busy with work school etc and I've been lazy i know this is a really short chapter but I couldn't just leave you all hanging like that sorry again well thanks all for your reviews and I plan to get a beta for my next story I repeat next story so I promise I will do they my best to do better for my next story okay also if you want a summary of please tell me in your comments so then I can let you have a bit of a summary of what it will be about it will be another Junjou Romantica fanfic but this time it'll have all the JR couples featured if any of you would like to know more again just please tell me in your comments! Oh and sorry for any mistakes I've made
