Chapter 6

Frozen Yogurt

(Phredrik's) Review Response:

To kitsune girl yuki: I am glad you liked it. It's ok that it's short. Hopefully in the following chapters I will get some more interesting stuff in here so you have more to write about!

To theabridgedkuriboh: Oh ho ho he is a funny guy. There will be more jokes from him to come.

To BTRJemderson31: Don't worry I'm not offended. It was meant to be a joke and I am thrilled you found it funny.

To animelover: I am so trilled you liked it. May apologies that this chapter took so so so so long to come out. Stupid computer problems. I'll promise to make it up with some well written chapters to come

To Trilladora: It's all good sugar, gotta love those cousins. I knew you would like it. It was actually a store I drove by and I thought it was the funniest thing.

To Wolfgirlwarriorcat: That is so weird because we did the play this weekend too. That's kinda creepy. Anyways I am super glad you reviewed because if you didn't I would have probably not updated until long after this. I am super glad you like the story!

From where we left off last time

Judai's work place

"J-Johan?" I uttered. No! No! NO! He CAN'T be here! He can't know I am so poor I would stoop so low as to work at a dump like this. I mean, Edo has to work here, his father owns the shit hole. But, I have no excuse!

"Hold up, you too know each other?" Edo Asked.

"Yah, we meet yesterday. Judai showed me around school." Johan smiled.

"Where was I?" Edo screeched.

"You cut class so you and Jim could go sky diving." I rolled my eyes at the silver-haired boy.

"Oh yah…Jim is actually a pretty cool guy when he isn't bossing you around. Did you know he actually convinced the guy to let him take Karen with him on the plane!"

"Karen?" Johan asked.

"Yah, his alliga–"

"Crocodile!" Jim popped out of a door on the left corner of the store and disappears as fast as he came.

"Yah, whatever. Anyways, why are you here Johan? I asked.

"Well I–"

"He is obviously here to get to know a bit more about the silver-haired, sexy beast all the guys have talked about this season." Edo found his chance and snatched up Johan's hand. " Luckily, I clocked in today. How may I help you, Sir?" He winked and gave Johan a cheesy bow.

I could feel it forming. It was swirling in the pit of my stomach, slowly sliding up my throat. I felt like vomiting but I held it back, knowing It would just make me look foolish in front of Johan. As for Edo, I could care less how he viewed me. Johan was just…different. I don't know. I felt my cheeks began to burn and the feeling in my stomach only getting worse. Why doesn't he slap his hand away. What is he doing! I can't— What is this? Am I jealous? No! That's stupid. How could I be jealous? Damn! Judai, get you head screwed on straight!

Johan just stared at Edo, a dumfounded expression spread across his face. He obviously didn't know how to react to Edo's behavior and pulled his hand away, which surprised Edo. He wasn't used to people rejecting his come on's.

"Edo, come here!" I hissed, pulling him away from Johan. "Edo can't you leave you this alone. He's cool. I don't want you to get your coodies all over him."

"Hey, your no fun. You guys want him all to yourself. Why do you always spot the hotties before I do. But, if it doesn't work out, call me up." He winked and turned back to Johan who was shuffling through layers of shirts hanging on the rack. He began to pull one shirt separate form the others and chuckle. Printed obscurely on the front was the words " Ya'll need Mo' Jaysas"

"So, why are you here Johan." I asked.

"Oh, I came to pick you up, Judai." He smiled. Such a cute innocent smile that makes me just want to—" I thought we could save time and stuff if we rode together."

"Oh, that's cool and all but why didn't you call me before you came?"

"I did, but you didn't pick up. Haou did and I asked him where you worked. Wasn't the most pleasant conversation but I got the information I needed and headed here."

Damn, I forgot my phone. This just isn't my day." Yah, sorry about him."

"It's fine. I was thinking on the way to the park we could pick up some yogurt. I saw a frozen yogurt place next door. I-If that's ok with you." He smiled.

"Yah, I love frozen yogurt. I–"

"Fantastic!" He cheered latching his hands around my wrist and pulling me towards the door." Let's go!"

"Wait, what about me guys. I like froyo too." Edo whimpered.

"Yah, maybe next time, Edo/ Cover the rest of my shift while I'm gone, will ya?"

"But I–"

"Thanks bud," I threw the silver-haired boy my check-in card before being dragged out of the door by my older companion. Edo caught the card, stiffening his lower lip into a pout and slumping back into the stool behind the check-out desk.

Once outside, Johan loosened his grip around my wrist as we walked down the pavement; towards a small yogurt shop on the corner of the lot.

"Phew, I though I was never getting outta there." I sighed.

"Is work really that bad?" Johan asked.

"It is when your co-worker is a cocky flirtatious gaywad and you boss is a kick arse environmentalist who has an unhealthy obsession with his reptilian friend."

"Oo, I never knew you could be so mean, Judai." Johan teased giving me a playful push.

"Hey, you wouldn't know. You probably haven't worked a day in your life." I shoved back.

"You would be surprised. Anyways, maybe so yogurt will take your mind off things."

"Eh, maybe your right." I forced a week smile across my face. Johan opened the shop's door, letting me enter before him. I couldn't believe my eyes. I stared wide-eyed at all the different flavours of yogurt machines spread along the walls. I almost drooled when I saw the HUGE container of toppings. Though I had walked by this yogurt shop multiple times since I started working at the little shit hole, I have never had enough money with me to go in and buy anything. Boy, was that a mistake.

"Wait, I forgot…Johan…I don't have any money on me." I looked down disappointed and pulled my pants pockets out to prove my point.I suddenly snapped my head back upon feeling a gentle hand grip my right shoulder.

"It's ok," Johan smiled warmly. That smile, why does it always make me feel so warm inside. "I can pay for you. Consider it my treat. You DID spend you time showing me around school yesterday when you clearly could have done something else. And, not only that, but y-you stood up for me against those jerks!"

"Anyone would do it."

"I don't know if I could believe that. But, lease I can do is make you happy before I whoop you in a duel." He gave me a cocky grin.

"In your dreams." I playfully snipped back walking over to the many varieties of yogurt and grabbed a medium-sized paper bowl. I walked over to machine with letters "Triple Chocolate Fudge" printed on the top. Johan settled for the blueberry cheese cake and we meet up at the topping container which also doubled as a check out area. (Nifty)

I pressed my fac to the glass container, smudging my nose trying to bet a better look at the amazing verity of toppings. I could hear Johan chuckling at my childish behaviour which made my face flush. "Can I have chocolate chips" I asked the woman behind the counter.

"Ok, is that—"

"Wait, No! The chocolate chunks."He interrupted.

"The chocolate chi—"

"Wait! Actually, let's do the chips."

"O—"

"No, the chunks. Eh… the chips. No chunks. No chips. No—"

"Judai!" The woman screeched.

"Huh?" I looked up to see a delicate face of the back haired girl.

"R-Rei?" Looking up to see the face of the girl.

"H-Hi Judai." The girl said, timidly playing with the strings on her black apron with the words "Let's Spoon" plastered on the front.

"Hey Rei!" I smiled cheerfully. I could feel Johan walk up behind me and rest his arm on my left shoulder, leaning forward for support.

"Hey, Judai." Johan grinned, "Whose your friend?" He smiled at the young girl. She blushed and looked at her feet sheepishly.

"Oh, this is Rei, Johan. She's in middle school. We used to hang out a lot when we where kids and she duels too! Maybe you guys can duel sometimes, After I beat you, of course. "I smiled.

"Yah, that would be great! What do ya' say Rei?"

"U-Uh sure." Shu uttered and handed me our yogurt.

"Sounds cool!" Well, thanks Rei. I'll see you at school." I called. I led Johan to the door of the shop and gave a quick wave towards the younger girl.

"Bye Judai." She called.

"So where is your car? I asked, once outside of the small yogurt shop. Suddenly, Johan stopped in his tracks and a look of panic spread across his face. "What's wrong?"

"I—Judai. I-I think I, um forgot something." Johan fidgeted.

"Y-You forgot your car!? How can you friggin forget your car?"

"I-I don't know," Johan nervously rubbed the back of his neck." I guess I was so excited to see you I forgot."

"Y-You where excited to see me?" I asked. Wait, did I really just ask that. I'm acting like some friggin school girl. I don't like this guy. Why should I care.

"Mmmmhmmm. I mean your a pretty cool guy and I enjoy talking to you. Sorry, you probably think I'm an idiot." His face flushed with embarrassment.

"No!" I replied a little to hastily." I mean, we can just walk to the park. It isn't that far away." I took a bite of my yogurt, enjoying the feeling of the flavour melt across my tongue. I hastily bundled my hands inside my jeans and began walking down the cracked pavement, Johan trailing behind me.

The first few minutes of the walk was extremely awkward, It was finally Johan who broke the silence. Finally making himself comfortable next to me, we had a long interesting conversation and I enjoyed the company the blunet brought me. I found out we had more in common then I had first thought. Before we knew it, we where at the entrance of Millennium Park.

Johan took his stance in the middle of the park, around the fountain. He pulled out his duel disk from his backpack and loaded his cards inside. "You ready Judai?" He called to me.

"You bet! Get your game on! "I yelled back.

"Get my what?"

"On, nevermind! Let's just duel."

"Haha, ok!"

"Duel." We both cried in unison.

(I really don't want to spend half of my day reteaching myself all the rules of Yu-Gi-Oh and rewatching every battle between these too, so I will make this short. No one Really knows how to play this game anyways)

"I summon some neo-spaceon card in attack mode."

"Well, I summon some gem monster in attack mode."

"Then I'll summon this super hero guy on defense mode then attack your thing then one face down card!"

"No, not my thing! Grr. Well I summon this turtle thing in attack mode and lay two cards face down."

"Imma attack your turtle thing and—."

"Trap Card!"

"Oh no, not a trap card! That is totally unexpected even though you clearly laid it out in fornt of me just in the last turn! Fine, then I'll lay down one more face down card and end my turn."

"I'll attack your guy and then end my turn as well."

"Well, I summon my favorite little guy Hane Kurib—

"Imma let you finish but Rainbow Dragon is the best card of all time!"

(This went on for a while. Four more duels actually. Best written duel ever! I should win an award.)

"Tied. Damn, just one more game." I puffed, slouching over gripping my knees from exhaustion.

"Wow, Judai." said Johan just as equally worn. "You're really determined , aren't you." He leaned against the ledge of the found fountain.

"When you are dueling against someone as skilled at dueling as you are, you want to keep it going until you win, no matter how long it takes." I smiled weakly and slowly dropped onto my knees, obviously to exhausted to hold my body weight.

"H-Hey!" Johan screeched with surprise and dashed to Judai's side. " Are you alright?" Johan gently ran his fingers down my torso, which made me shutter trying to host my body off the ground and onto his sturdy frame.

"Yah, I-I'm fine." I wrapped my arms around the older boys shoulders for support.

"It's getting pretty late. The sun is already starting to set and i don't want to walk home in the dark."

"But can't we just—"

"Good thing you know this town better than me. I wouldn't want to be alone. Who knows what could be out here after dark. We can stop at my house first and then I could drive you home." He sighed, softly running his arm down my arm and giving my hand a tight squeeze. I could feel my heart jolt forward in my chest and my face began to light up like a christmas tree. I was overwhelmed with a wave of emotions all centering in the pit of my stomach. Like good had unleashed a flock of Hane Kuriboh's inside of me. I was to dazed to abject or pull away. So, I didn't and we walked all the way back to Johan's house. hand in hand.

Phredrik: That chapter sucked….

Jon: Oh, don't say that. I thought it was cute

Phredrik: You think my hard cold cyborg ass is cute. What do you know.

Jon: That was hurtful.

Phredrik: Sorry…just stressed. Anyways, sorry for the short chapter, I had to shorten it because of how time-consuming it was to get the next chapter out. Either wait a long long time and have me post a really long chapter or a short time and small mini chapters. Anyways we will post a lot of good stuff for you guys in the future.

Jon: Leave a review and junk!

Phredrik: Sorry this sucked. It wasn't proof read by anyone other then us.
