AN- Happy New Year! Hope you all enjoyed your holiday. Sorry this chapter is a little later than I planned on.
Chapter Three: Welcoming Feast
As I walked down the train isle I only just noticed that we arrived at Hogwarts, so I exited the train and made my way toward the carriages that were pulled by threstals while hexing anyone in my way. I skipped the line of waiting people and pushed a couple of third year Hufflepuffs out. My house mates joined my after I sat down.
"What happened to you, Sophie? We saw you hexing and curseing anyone within rage as you walked up here," Alecto said as the carriage begain to move.
I glared at the girl as I said in a rather cruel,"What do you thing happened, Carrow? Because if you can't figure out what upset me than you more ingnorant than I thought you were. Trust me, you rather high on that scale too."
"Aww, come on, Sophie. No need to be so rude. She was just asking you a question," Alecto's twin brother, Amycus, mocked as he calme down his sister.
Regulus glanced at me, "Just leave Sophie alone. Can't you all see that Potter has upset her during their little talk. Wonder what he said to do that though. It is rather hard to infuriate Sophie."
We had now arrived at the castle by now and as I was exiting the carriage I heard someone call my name.
"Hey, Potter!" I turned around to see bloody Sirius Black running toward me.
"What do you want, Black?" I shout back to him as I continued walking up to the castle. The rest of the Slytherins not noticing my absence.
As he reaches me he asked, "What the hell did you do to James? Ever since you talked to him he has been completely silent and unresponsive."
"Well, maybe he realize what a bloody bastard he has been to me all my terrible life. I don't know, Black, why don't you ask him yourself?" I sneer as I headed toward the Great Hall for the sorting of the first years and the welcoming feast.
"That's the thing, Potter, I have asked him. Everyone has, but he still is ignoring everyone. What did you do to him?" Sirius said in an angry voice as we reached the .
Aw, poor Black is upset. Not like I cared about the bloodtraitor, but I wanted to get to the feast, so I gave him fake reassurance, "Well, maybe he'll come around eventually. Now, go away and stay the hell away from me."
With that I left for the Slytherin table and took a seat next to Narcissa and Regulus. The only Slytherins I can stand sitting next to without going mad or being questioned to death.
"What did my brother want with you?" the youngest Black asked with his voice full of pure hatred.
I glanced at him while I considered what to tell him, "He wanted to know what I did to James. I told him to figure it out himself."
Regulus studied me for a minute or two and then slowly said, "What happened between you and you brother, Sophie?"
"I think that is my business and you should stay out of it, Regulus," I whispered before turning my attention to the food because the sorting had just ended and the feast had just begun.
I slowly pilled my plate full of the delicious food that Hogwarts served while I listened to the crazy stories of my house mates. I got away without speaking for most of the conversation except little comments in some places. Everything was great until Roiser pulled me into the bloody conversation.
"So, Sophie, I heard your brother and his band of morons were at your house almost the whole summer. How did you handle that?" Evan said casually, like he pulled me into the conversation to actually hear what I thought, but only wanted to anger me. Roiser has been doing that since first year. We just never got along.
I glared at him, "It could have been worse I guess, but I lived through their idiotic ploys. Mostly because I was either locked up in my room or out of the house."
Narcissa glanced at me, "I feel sorry for you, Sophie, if you had to be under the same roof as my bloodtraitor cousin. Bet you can see why he was disowned now."
"Well, it is quite obvious, Narcissa. How could you not after spending five minutes with the boy?" I said quietly. I hoped that the conversation would just drift away from me. I was not in the mood to talk to anyone after earlier today. My brother just pushes me over the edge. God help everyone when I go to far.
Thankfully Dumbledore began his speech before our conversation could continue.
"Welcome back to another year everyone. I hope you all enjoyed your summer breaks. As always, Mr. Filtch, the caretaker, has extended the list of objects forbidden inside the castle. If anyone wishes to view the list you may find it in his office. I also would like to inform the new students and remind some of the older students that the Forbidden Forest is off limits and anyone found wandering in there will receive a punishment. Lastly, I would like to introduce our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher for the year, Professor Michel Hughes. Now, off to bed everyone." the headmaster waved us away.
AN- First of all I'd like to thank RedvinesFavoritefoodofHP-RW for reviewing again. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and keep reviewing. I always love hearing what you like about the story and want you want to happen. Also, I think I have a good idea of where this story is going and hope I can get it to what I have planned out for it. School has also started back up, so there might be a bit longer before I can update. -Laura
