Chapter Six: More Fighting
"What do you mean they think I've gone mad? I have not!" James shouted as I leaned against the wall.
"That's what they tell me. Said you've been acting rather funny and have been stalking me until I talked some sense into you. After this you should tell them to leave me alone. I mean, your idiot friends are really annoying and, well, you know my temper. It's the one thing we have in common. Thank God for that too," I rambled as I watched James's face turn to a brilliant shade of pink because of his anger.
"Well, Sophie, you are the one who made me all 'funny' as you call it. I was only trying to help you and you just turned everything onto me like always! I can't help that every time I attempt to speak to you, Sophie, you turn the conversation into an argument!" my brother yelled as he clenched his fists. His voice rising as he went.
I glared at him as I pushed myself off the wall and stepped closer to him, "I do not turn our conversations into arguments. Anyway, I don't have to turn are little fights against you because they already are against you."
"You're doing it again."
"I am not."
"Yes, you are, Sophie. Now, can you go away? I don't need you adding more things to my personal problems. You already give me enough trouble," James said as he sat down and put his head in his hands.
Wait, did he just say add more to his personal problems? If anything, he's my problem.
"Did you just say you I was a problem, James? I'm really that much a burden for you? Wow, thanks," I said furiously as I left the room. Hmm, does this seem familiar to anyone?
As I hurry down the steps I hear James' footsteps following me.
"Sophie, wait! I didn't mean it like that!" my brother called to me as I reach the Gryffindor common room.
I stopped and turned around before I reached the portrait and looked at all the staring Gryffindors before I whispered to my brother, "Well, it sure sounded like it. You know what James, I think you should just leave me alone and grow up. Like I said on the train, I'm done taking all this crap from you. Now, do us both a favor and go back to being your arrogant self you were before the school year started."
With those words said I left my brother's common room and headed back toward my own.
"Are you alright, Potter?" Black said as I sat down on the couch next to him.
I glared at Regulus as I said, "What do you think? I just returned from talking to my brother."
"Ah, I see," he said while inspecting me carefully, "What did the prat do now?"
I sighed before looking over to Regulus. Black could relate to me by our brothers both being completely pompous and arrogant Gryffindors. He knows what I'm going through. That and he was the only Slytherin I actually trusted, so I told him the whole story.
"You mean he actually said that to your face? Well, Potter is more stupid than I thought he was. Anyway, Sophie, I think you should just stay away from him. It would be better for you. For all of us Slytherins," he mumbled while repositioning himself on the couch.
"By the way, earlier today did you see that Quidditch tryouts are tomorrow?" I casually said while pulling out my homework.
Regulus glaces at me before smirking, "Wanting to try out, do you?"
"Well, I guess it's about time I show up my brother at his own game. Don't you think?" I said with a smirk as I
