Chapter Nine: Threats to Brother

By the time I ran after Regulus he was gone. When he freaked out on his brother it was because he was worried and all worked up for the upcoming game tomorrow, so he was in a delicate state right now. This caused me to skip the rest of classes looking everywhere for him, but sadly I just could not find the boy.

When dinner came around I gave up and went to eat because I skipped lunch. I also took food from the Ravenclaw table just to be sure the food was safe. Good choice by me to because the food was still speckled with purple powder. Most of the House of Slytherin skipped dinner, so I was about the only one there. Once I finished I headed up to my dorm to write my dementor essay for Hughes, but I found that I was too distracted and angry to concentrate on anything. This caused me to go have a chat with my brother.

I quickly made my way over to the Gryffindor common room and once again banged on the obnoxious portrait of the Fat Lady. This time a pesky little second year opened the painting. I just pushed my way past and up the staircase to the boy's dormitory and knocked on door a total of three times before entering without permission. I was met to the sight of six boys foolishly laughing about something that was probably idiotic and totally stupid.

"Sophie! What are you doing here?" Conner Coote shouted as Pettigrew fell out of his bed.

I ignored them and walked over to my brother and asked in a strained voice, "When I said to go back to your old obnoxious self I did not mean for you to turn more than half of the Slytherin house gold and red right before the biggest quidditch game of the year for us. Now tell me how to turn them all back to normal."

"Sophie, chill out. It was just a prank," Black muttered.

I glared at the boy, "Shut up. I'm not talking to you, now am I?"

"It would be no fun if we did that. Try to figure it out yourself," my brother calmly said to stop me and his best friend from fighting.

This statement made me extremely angry, "Tell me how the hell I can turn my damn house back to normal or I will mortally wound you so you can not play in the game tomorrow because Pomfrey will have you tied down to a bed in the bloody hospital wing."

My threat was met with silence, but I could see the fear in my brother's eyes.

"You wouldn't," he whispered. I could see that he was shocked that I would do that to my own brother.

"Want to find out?" I hissed in a deadly voice.

James hesitated before reluctantly answering, "In my trunk there is a potion that will turn everyone back to normal. Get it and just get out of here."

"Accio," I said and a potion flew out of my brother's trunk and into my hand.

As I turned to leave I saw the surprised and very horrified faces of James' year-mates, but I didn't care what they thought of me. They can go die for all I care.

"You better hope this works or I will be very angry dear brother of mine, and you know what happens when I get angry." was what I said as I slammed the door.

An evil smirk drew across my face as I thought of how easily it was to retrieve this from James by filling him full of fear. To make it even better was while walking through the common room of theirs a little third year about burst into tear at the glare I gave her of bumping into me. As I did this I realized what a despicable person I was. This only made my smirk grow larger, but somewhere deep down I felt disgusted with myself for being able to do what I did so easily.

After I cured all but one Slytherin from the Marauders' terrible potion I once again set out to find Regulus. I could have punched myself for mot checking the Room of Requirement the first time around.

The room was like a giant library. Regulus was sitting in a big comfy chair reading a rather thick book in front of a flickering fire.

"Guess what I threatened my stupid excuse of a brother to give me?" I said as I walked over to him.

His face brightened tremendously and he dropped his book to give me a bone crushing hug, "Thanks you so much. Sophie.'

I shrugged once he set me down and took what was left of the potion, "No problem. "

I then plopped into another chair murmured nervously, "I can't believe tomorrow is my first quidditch game."

"You'll be fine. Everyone is nervous before their first game. Just picture the face of your brother when we win," Reg said casually.

I laughed, but then got a faraway look on my face as I said, "That would feel great. Finally beating him at something after all these years of being overlooked by him all my life."

Regulus and I continued chatting for a bit before we both slowly drifted to sleep.

Hope you enjoyed it! Remember to leave a review.
