AN- I am happy to say that I updated within the week like I planned. Another thing I'd like to tell you is that the next few chapters are going to be a rollercoaster for Sophie and James, so be prepared.
Thank you BlueRose22, sara253xxx, and Blue Luver5000 for all of your reviews once again. And I agree. James is an asshole. Now on to the story! -Laura
Chapter Twelve: The Hospital Wing
The next thing I remebered was waking up in the hospital wing. I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was Pomfrey standing over me and forcing potions down my throat. Then all the events of the previous day came flooding back to my mind. I pushed the matron away and quickly sat up. That was one hell of a bad idea.
I screamed in pain as I clutched my sides. I mean I knew we hated each other, but I never thought he would try to kill me. If anyone snapped I thought it would have been me.
"Potter, lie down! You'll open up your wound and start to cough up blood again," Pomfey sternly said as she gentaly pushed me back down.
"I was coughing up blood?" I was shocked. How bad was I hurt?
It seemed like the woman read my mind as she replied, "Yes. The bludger hit you in the chest. Three of your ribs were broken and one of them punctured a lung and caused you to cough up blood. "
All that I could think of right now was how much more I hated my bastard of a brother. It was a full on despise now.
"Potter! Are you listening?" Madam Pomfrey shouted at me to break my train of thought.
I shook my head and looked at her, "I'm sorry. What?"
"Your family is waiting outside. Do you want-" before the glaring woman could answer the doors were thrown open and my parents came rushing in.
"Oh Sophie," my mother said while she gave me a crushing hug.
I winced in pain as I said, "Mum, that hurts."
She backed off quickly, "I am so sorry. What happened? Albus just said you got injured in a quidditch game."
"Oh, and congradulations on making the quidditch team," my father put in and my mum slapped the back of his head for it. He gave her a sheepish grin and asked me in a caring voice, "Are you okay?"
To be honest I was shocked at how well they were treating me. They usually never knew what to say around me because they were too busy smothering my brother with love.
"I'm fine. If you want to know what happened why don't you ask that thing that you call a son and that git you took in over the summer. I'm pretty sure they can tell you what happened to me," I sneered bitterly.
My mother gasped, "Sophie Lynn Potter, do not talk about James and Sirius like that!"
"What do you mean ask them what happened?" my father said at the same time.
Our attention turned to the entrance to the hospital wing doors as Dumbledore came in with the two we were just talking about.
I smirked as I replied with, "Why don't you ask them yourself?"
I could see my brother and his friend looked as real down, but that might have been because they just got caught for almost killing me.
"I sorry for interrupting you time with your daughter Mr. and Mrs. Potter, but I think you should know that these are the culprits behind the incident that has occurred," the headmaster said gravely.
The look on my parents face was priceless. I wish I had a camera to capture this moment on film.
"James, Sirius, is this true?" my mum asked heartbroken. She couldn't believe her golden child could do something like this at all.
I smirked at them as they both nodded. Even though I was almost killed today, this was one of the best moments of my life. Sad though, isn't it? We hate each other so much that this is what it has come to.
My mother broke down in tears. As my father was giving her a comforting hug he gave the both of them disapproving looks.
"How could you do that to your own sister, James? It was just a little game of quidditch that she beat you in!" Mum shrilled at them. She was getting angry now. "And Sirius, how could you let him do that? You both almost killed her!"
"Mum, I was angry and wasn't thinking clearly. I didn't mean to kill her. I swear!" was my brother's lame attempt at getting out of trouble.
Black nodded in agreement, "He is right. We were just caught up in loosing. Mrs. Potter-"
"Just stop trying to get out of this one, boys. You're in deep now," Dad said in a hash tone.
"But-" they both started until cutting themselves off at the glare my mother sent them.
Dumbledore said something before anyone else could argue more, "Why don't we all head up to my office to discuss this and the punishments for the boys? Miss Potter here needs her rest after all."
My parents nodded and they all followed Dumbledore out of the room.
For once I was grateful for the old headmaster. I was dead beat after what happened today and happily took the sleeping potion that Pomfrey gave me.
As for my brother and Sirius, I had no idea what was in store for them. All I knew was that there was going to be hell to pay once i got out of this damn hospital bed.
AN- So how was it? Let me know by leaving a review.
