Alfred remembered it all too well the day they met; it was like walking into a beautiful dream, though for Arthur it was more likely a nightmare. Alfred suppressed a chuckle at the thought, their first meeting was interesting to say the least they had met, tried to kill each other; failed, and then parted as rivals. Time though it seemed to like to wear down any relationship even that of one between an angel and demon, and so from rivals they become tentative friends.

Though Alfred was quite sure they both wanted to become something more, however Arthur's morals and duties as an angel got in the way of them ever becoming more than friends. Alfred frowned and rolled over to face Arthur sleeping face to pull him against his chest. The once upon a time angel hadn't changed since falling (excluding appearance). Of course that was probably because he hadn't chosen to fall...

Alfred's frown deepened; he hadn't wanted to drag Arthur down. In all honestly he was content with the idea of seeing Arthur every time he went to earth. Alfred closed his eyes and for the first time in many years he allowed himself to remember that day.

The angel was ticking him off, he couldn't tell what they looked like; the silver armor the angel wore covered everything. However the angles voice was definitely male and the voice was very familiar. Alfred only hoped it wasn't Arthur.

Ludwig flew past him suddenly straight towards the archangel, before Alfred could intervene a very familiar angel slammed into Ludwig; Arthur. Alfred swore and dove towards the two, he had to separate them before one of them got hurt. He didn't like Ludwig, however Ivan would have his head if he allowed anything to happen to his dear warrior. Though if Ludwig hurt Arthur… all bets were off.

He dove towards the two, if he could just kick Ludwig away and grab Arthur-

The archangel slammed into him. Alfred cursed as he was slammed into another demon. Had he mentioned that this angel ticked him off? Because really he was pissing him off. Alfred kicked the Archangel away and flew off to put some distance between himself and the archangel smashing random angels into other angels. Alfred needed to find Arthur and make sure he was alright.

He heard a scream and then he saw someone falling to the earth, no not just someone.

"Arthur…" Alfred whispered horrified. Then suddenly he dove leaving others; demons and angels alike to fight. He would most certainly be punished for leaving the fight especially since he was one of their strongest. But he could deal with that later as long as Arthur was okay, as long as he didn't hit the ground, then everything would be alright.

Alfred pressed his hands against Arthur's wounds cursing; he had caught Arthur before he hit the ground, but the angel was bleeding no doubt because of Ludwig. Alfred growled causing the angel to flinch he immediately stopped and started to coo to the other telling him that it would be alright and he was going to be fine.

Lies a voice whispered in the back of his head there's only one way to save him now…

Alfred shook his head, no he wouldn't he couldn't Arthur would never forgi-

Since when has a demon ever asked for forgiveness?

Alfred pressed his forehead to Arthur's ignoring the sounds of battle coming from above that only the supernatural could hear. Pressing his lips to Arthur's, Alfred muttered "I'm so sorry."

That had been the last three words the angel had heard before oblivion took him.

Alfred held Arthur closer to him, frowning. When Arthur had woken up he hadn't remembered much; not their friendship and not their kiss first and last kiss as angel and demon. The only thing he had remembered was that he had been an angel and that Alfred was the one who made him into what he was; a demon.

Though that wasn't the only thing that bothered him. What bothered him was the archangel that Arthur had protected. The archangel had been seen many times where Arthur had been; always missing him by mere minutes. It made Alfred wonder just what their relationship was like. Arthur never told him about his personal life when he was an angel and he certainly didn't tell him what he could remember now.

Alfred bit his bottom lip, there was only one way he could find out. He would have to confront the archangel and if the angel's relationship with Arthur in the past was anything too special well, Alfred would handle it accordingly.
