Chapter 2

"You can't be serious!" yelled a voice which came from the large circular building in the centre of Konoha, the hokage tower.

"Yes sir, whilst on the mission she was gravely injured, the medic nins told us that her shinobi days... are over" Another voice replied sadly

"!" The first speaker, Minato Namikaze, the hokage of konoha, looked surprised, so surprised in fact that his eyes were basically bulging out of there sockets.

"Damn it," he sadly replied as his eyes trailed towards the floor and his expression turned into one of sadness "she was one of our best ninja, it is a big blow for us with her gone"

In front of the yellow haired hokage was a beautiful woman. her skin was pale like snow and she had deep, golden eyes that held tears of sadness in them. This woman wore a white kimono with a flower design and if one looked carefully they could see the hilt of a sword poking out of the side of it.

"Hokage-sama, how can we continue? Rei-chan and Hikari-chan both loved her to death! The team can't function without her!" each word she said got louder and louder until she was virtually shouting "they can't live without her...i can't live without her"

She whispered the last part the Minato was still able to hear her. He looked at her in pity before he steeled his resolve. He has experienced many deaths during his shinobi career and despite her being a good shinobi, she was dead and her team needs to get over it, the teams jounin sensei needs to get over it!

"Listen yuki-san, she was a good shinobi but she is dead know" he said with hardened eyes,"i understand she was an important member of not only the shinobi forces, but your team but as the jounin-sensei you must not show weakness!"Yuki's eyes widened as her hokage talked"You have to remember yuki, the life of a shinobi is a hard one, she was an extremely strong shinobi but at the end of the day she is still human, people kill and be killed and it is a hard path to take to stop this from happening"Yuki looked inspire by the hokages speech so far and inwardly Minato felt relieved that she was snapping out of her crying"its ok to be upset, to shed tears but you must not show weakness to your team, if you do then things could fall apart, do you understand?"

"yes hokage-sama!" Yuki replied with a small smile as she pushed all of her broody thoughts away and remembered to always keep her in her heart.

"Good," Minato replied as he let out a small sigh of relief"know onto more business, i understand that you and your team would want time of and i respect and allow that BUT ,know this might be hard on you, Hikari and Rei, you will need a replacment"

And with that said all of Yuki's thoughts shattered and she looked at the hokage gobsmacked. How did he respect to find a replacement so soon and how in blooming hell did he expect Hikari and Rei would treat the replacement with respect right after the death of their closest friend, their family!

"Hokage-sama! how could you suggest such a thing?" she angrily asked as her eyes narrowed"you know how Hikari and Rei thought of her and i don't believe they will accept a replacement so easily, so soon!"

Minato sighed, he could see this coming as soon as the words left his mouth "yes i understand nd respect how you and they would feel about this but the civilian council and elders have been pressuring me, the shinobi council and even the academy to keep your team at top strength due to your performance so i'm sorry, you either let me pick out a replacement for her or you let the civilians do it."

Yuki looked conflicted as she stared at the hokage with narrowed eyes. Her fists was balled up and her once pale skin turned red with anger. Over and over in her head she thought about what the hokage was saying as well as the cons and pros of what is about to take place. Eventually she relaxed her self and calmed down, though she still looked angry making the hokage sweat a bit (he has experienced a womans anger first hand because of his wife)

"Fine, hokage-sama you pick, but don't expect me to like this at all" she hissed out in.

"yes, yes, i understand and i am sorry... know let me just look through these files" Minato replied as he picked up a large folder containing a large amount of files.

"hmpf, just hurry up and tell me who she is" Yuki huffed out, Minato, all of a sudden, looked quite scared if the paling of his face was anything to go by"what?" Yuki asked.

"Well you see," Minato started as he started to sweat abit "we only have a male in reserve"

Minato hid his face behind the folder, only sticking out an eye, and watched as Yuki started to shake before her eyes started to glow and she eventually slammed his desk.

"WHAT!" she shouted at the top of her voice "YOU KNOW MY TEAM IS A GIRLS ONLY TEAM SO WHY WOULD WE TAKE A BOY!"

"Please Yuki-san just allow him onto your team, at least until there is a girl in reserve, if not for your team then for me... your hokage" Minato replied with sadness in his voice until the end, where he had a quiet but powerful voice.

"grrr, fine but only until another girl is in reserve, then he is of my team and never coming back!"Yuki growled slightly "who is this boy anyway?" she questioned with slight curiosity due to calming down a bit.

"Thank you Yuki-san" Minato replied with a smile " and this 'boy' as you call him i actually my son, Naruto"

This time it was Yuki who paled, even more then she already is!

A/N: sorry about the amount of time it took to update but i have been extremely busy with school work due to my GSCE examination in a few months and i am still busy at the moment, i only managed to write a second chapter because i had some free time available to write. Yet again i apologise for the delay. I don't know when the next chapter will be up but i promise it will be up when i have the time.
