Today's smartasshole remark is a helpful one: Difficult doesn't mean impossible, just a little more effort than usual. So stop being lazyasses.

Chapter 2: Little Miss Reaper
Vernon Dursley woke up in a strange place. It was a white room with a throne in front of him; he was sitting in a chair himself. A pair of pure white eyes looked at him from under a black hood, as if they were looking at his soul. He was about to demand where he was but a chilling voice spoke be for him.
"Sir, what is your name." Death asked its visitor, it just dealt with souls not get to know them
"Vernon Dursley, now can you explain to me where I am?" he was going to shout but something told him it wouldn't go over well. He couldn't describe it but this person in front of him… didn't seem human
"Well Mr. Dursley, you are dead and this is the afterlife. Now normally I would let you cross the gate or eat you but you're in a unique situation."
Vernon was shocked, speechless even. He didn't know what to think, him dying, and this person in front of him who could it be? Yes he was a very confused man at this time.
"Now you listen here!" Vernon started his voice thundering as he found it again.
"I don't feel dead and even if I was who bloody hell are you!" he continued to yell, in fear your name your even he did not know
Death gave a chuckle in his chilling voice amused at this human in front of it. How the mortals always seem to think they were always the highest being in existence, afraid of the unknown. Normally Death would eat this fool's soul, he was one who created hatred in the world but didn't have power to make an impact. By the influx of souls that have been passing for the last few years, Death could tell it would need a peace time to balance the world.
Vernon stood with a brave look on his face until he felt himself weaker and weaker, as if the life was being sucked out of him. He fell out of his chair when a massive pressure hit his already weakening body
"Mr. Dursley…Normally I would just destroy you and be done with it, but you have done me a service today so I will give you a second chance." After hearing this Vernon found his footing and scrambled back into his chair, more eager to listen
"Sir, how could I have helped you if you are Death?" Vernon asked in a small voice, he could feel the effects of what happened moments ago.
Death laughed as it could feel the fear coming of this mortal while asking why his life was spared; mortals were always a curious bunch.
"Now now, that will all be explained. You see you have awakened my little angel today, you have awakened a new Death, one that can do whatever she wants and interact with the world for at least a hundred years." Death answered with a large amount of excitement and glee in its voice
"Who is this angel sir?"
"The one you call Mina." With the name of his niece mention Vernon face instinctively turned purple and he momentarily forgot where he was
"What that little freak? So she's worse than I first thought, so why don't you take the little bitch then!"
As soon as he finished speaking he was quickly and harshly reminded who the being in front of him was, as he forced flat on his face by that same draining pressure as Death laughed again
"Mortal…your fate as already been decided and yet you still think that I care about what you want." The pressure got worse and Vernon could feel his life slipping away
"The reason you live is because I know how the world work and you have some use. You will proved for my angel and that wife of your as I can see a sorrowful change in her soul, she will help raise little Mina. You will do this until it is time for the wizards of your world to come get her. This is the task Death has for you in your second attempt of life do you understand?" The pressure letting up enough to give a nod of his head as Vernon knew he was not asked, he was being told what he was going to do
"Now it's time to go back Mr. Dursley but one more thing before you go. I was going to let you enjoy your life as your reward for what you have done for me, but your attitude towards my angel gave me a better idea. You should feel honored Mr. Dursley for when I teach my angel to harvest souls… you shall be her first."
And with a final laugh form the embodiment of the afterlife Vernon Dursley again saw darkness
3 years later
Mina Potter in the last three years had changed a great deal. Physically she was the normal size and weight for an eight year old girl if maybe a little shorter. No, the thing that changed most about little Mina was her mind. She was no longer bound by a sense of humanity since that day she became the second being of death. She also was considered a genius as she had access to all the knowledge that Death knew and Death has been watching the world since near the beginning of its existence. Death had to limit her access though as her brain had to still grow at a human rate it would just never stop growing.
Mina was on her way back to her relatives' home as school had just ended. She didn't have to go to school since she could take university courses if she wished, but she wanted to have friends her age.
The young reaper walked with a bit of pep in her step as today she was going to see her grandpa and he said he would teach her something today. She knew of magic and the world of wizards and witches as well as the way they thought of her, so hopefully it would magic related
Privet Drive soon came into view and Mina quickly rushed to number four. After opening the door and going to the kitchen she saw her aunt making herself a late lunch. Ever since that day three years ago her aunt had become a nicer person and actually taking care of her, see the last link to her family almost die in front of her killed the last bit of jealousy and anger in her soul.
"Auntie I'm home." The green eyed Potter greeted in her usually cheerful voice as her aunt sat her plate on the table and gave her niece a small smile
"Mina, how was school today?" Petunia asked
"It was fun today we played football."
"You didn't get hurt did you?"
"No Auntie everybody is always nice to me." Mina responded with a bright smile, more than just Mina changed in the last three year as everyone started treating her like a princess or an angel (which she was, an angel of death anyway). She was a sweet little girl who could bring joy to just about anyone which ironically was part of her abilities as a being of death
"Well you can go play before supper as long as your homework is done." Her aunt told her before Mina gave her a hug and made for the door. She opened the front door about to head out when she almost ran into her cousin who had an annoyed expression on his face
"Mina." He started in a pouting tone of voice "Why did leave me behind."
Dudley was also a victim to the charm Mina seem to produce, he had stopped teasing her and started to act in a role as an older brother, a very protective older brother
"Sorry Dudley, I was just wanted to go play." She told him giggling at how he sounded
"Well ok, I need to finish my homework before mom kills me plus my favorite cartoon comes on. Just be careful." Dudley said as he went inside to greet his mother
Mina rolled her eyes as she shut the door of course so was gonna be safe she was going to see her grandpa.
Making her way to the local park and going deep and to the trees, Mina closed her eyes and focused on the white space her grandpa called home her eyes unknown to her became a solid emerald green and she vanished.
Death's realm
It was another day in the eternity that was being Death, guiding souls, watching the balance of the world, tricking mortals you know just Death activities.
But all that changed when Death's red headed granddaughter appeared in a throne similar to its own only for her size
"Little Mina, is that time already?" Death asked in an amused tone because to an immortal being earlier in the week felt like a few hours
"Yeah grandpa, you said you would teach me something. Is it magic?" the little girl asked bouncing out of her seat in anticipation
"Well I can't teach you mortal magic as I have no need for it, you can go to school for that in a few years. No I'm going to start teaching you the form of magic we mainly use as beings of Death and the responsibilities that come with it." Death told its grandchild
"Ok, so what do I do?" head tilting slightly to the side as she asked this
"Well close your eyes and focus." Death asked of her and so she sat back down on her throne and did as she was told
It took a few minutes as she was only an eight year old so she had to calm her energy down enough to really focus, but eventually she saw an emerald green orb in the darkness that her closed eyes brought
"Grandpa I see a green ball." The young reaper said in a confused manor
"Good that is your mortal magic; now look deep in the ball."
Mina again did as she was told and looked deep into the green orb it took a minute to find it but soon an explosion of white energy was released it surged until it the green energy slowly bled in to it
Death laughed again as his little angel took the next step in becoming a living reaper, Death just watch as a light, that would have blinded any other being, pulsed in front of it
Yes this was the most interesting thing Death had done in countless years.
