AN: So this is a day late and I apologize. Unfortunately I drank way too much last night and passed out before I could finish the last edit for this part of the interlude. I would have posted earlier, but I've got a three day weekend because of Presidents' day so you'll get the last part on Monday. I hope you enjoy, and as always if you've already read this chapter and don't care to do so again, then be my guest and skip it. Also feel free to skip the reset of the author notes as they haven't changed. Enjoy.

AN: So maybe it's been way too long since my last update but fear not because my number one fan happens to be my twin who has my cell number and can harass me into getting my butt in gear. Anyway, Happy Birthday Twin you know this update is really for you. Ok, now I owe you all an apology, yes it has been forever, but this chapter has been the hardest chapter to write, because of this I've only had enough time to finish about a third of what this chapter was originally going to cover. That's good news for you because that means the next chapter is on its way and will be out before Thanksgiving, cross your fingers, but bad news for me because I can't really move on with this story until the interlude is out of the way. I've been working on this chapter for months so I don't really remember what's in the first have and to be completely honest, I didn't really want to edit it again. But please enjoy and look forward to the next one because if you think this is good then you'll love the rest of the interlude.

P.S. Still don't own Dragonball Z or anything that goes with it, I just love the characters.

P.P.S. Not a big fan of the new Dragonball Z kai, but that's only because I miss the opening song :(

It Was Meant to Be

Interlude-part one-Wait, what just happened?

The warm midday sun was glowing high in the sky. Its golden rays peeking through trees and windows as it cast its radiating gaze on the frantic movement in a familiar home. Gold glinting off of the numerous items scattered across the room, drawers left open, clothes thrown about haphazardly as a long, tall figure fumbled around her room searching for something, muttering under her breath as she went. The midday sun was peeking through her window. Taunting her with the late hour as Gohanna raced across her room looking for the last minute items she had forgotten to lay out the night before for her annual extended stay with the Briefs. Videl was bound to be at the Capsule Corp. compound within the hour and she was no closer to meeting her there then she was two hours ago when she'd gotten in from her own training.

"Where is it? Where is it? Where is it?" she mumbled under her breathe, as she moved about the piles of clothes, books, papers and newly emptied drawers. 'Where did I put it?' she asked herself as she turned over another drawer. She wasn't entirely sure why she suddenly wanted the talisman with her on her annual stay at Capsule Corp. She just knew she needed it. She'd felt a pull in her chest, begging her to bring it. And as she'd learned long ago to trust her instincts, well as best as she could, she couldn't allow herself to just forget about it and leave without it. Searching through another drawer, Gohanna's long fingers grazed the sharp edges of her second most prized possession. She quickly pulled the token out of the draw, letting herself calm down now that she had the cool, metallic weight of the ancient stone in her hand.

She let the black metal chain hang from the palm of her hand as she headed back towards the center of her room. Dropping down to her bed, Gohanna opened her hand to get a better look at the Saiyan talisman. It was a jagged piece of stone made of several different materials all foreign to Earth, however its black glossy surface always reminded her of black diamond, black as ice, hard, and strong. On one side of the shard, the Saiyan character for pride lay in a material that was all too similar to tungsten. Its silver finish neatly outlined in what she could only compare to black titanium, standing out just as proudly as its meaning against the blacker material.

That single inscription had never confused her. It made perfect sense with what she knew about Saiyan nature, but when she flipped the shard around and gazed upon the character on the converse side, she was always stunned. Inscribed on the opposite side was the Saiyan character for family. It stood equally as proud as its opposing character in a material that possessed a strong resemblance to a warm rose gold, outlined in a metal similar to an even warmer bronze. Pride and family, she still couldn't figure out how such a violent race like the Saiyans could value both. Not only that, but she had a hard time believing that she was even in possession of such a beautiful Saiyan artifact.

'I still remember when Vegeta practically threw this at me,' Gohanna reminisced as she placed the necklace in her messenger bag. 'It was a little after my sixteenth birthday, right after a sparring session where we had both ascended to Super Saiyan, when Vegeta commanded me to sit,' she pondered as she absentmindedly began to pick up her room. 'He'd said, 'You are a Saiyan, a proud, fierce race of warriors. Never forget that.' And then he'd thrown the necklace at my head and ordered me out. I still don't know why he gave it to me instead of saving it for his own son. It feels almost like an heirloom, something passed down from father to son. But that doesn't matter right now,' she thought as she shook herself back to the present. 'I'll have plenty of time to pester the old man later. Right now I need to clean this mess I made so I can go meet Videl.' It was with that thought that found her rushing about her room, thrusting everything she could within the nearest drawer as neatly as her speed would allow. She would probably regret the mess she was leaving, but she really didn't want to waste more time making things look neat and pretty. After yesterday, she was going to need as much time as she could get to prepare for Videl's arrival.

Moments later she was saying good-bye to her mother before ascending to Super Saiyan and taking off for Capsule Corp. in her Saiya Girl disguise. Unlike when she normally took this familiar trip, Gohanna was unable to gaze about lazily, enjoying the scenery as she passed. No, she didn't have that luxury. Not when Videl would be at the Compound within the hour. So she was singularly of mind and focus in her attempt to get there before her. Dedication paying off, Gohanna found herself safely in front of the residential area of the CC Compound in less than five minutes. She wasted no time in undoing her Saiya Girl transformation as she rushed inside the familiar building to quickly put the few things she'd brought with her away. She may have had a little time to spare, but she wanted to use every possible moment preparing for Videl. That girl could be a handful on the best of days.

Traveling the familiar path, she made it to her room in what felt like no time at all. Here, her room only vaguely resembled the one back in the mountains. Their similarities starting and ending with the simplicity of each room. After all, she had very few hobbies and she most certainly wasn't one for flashy decorations so it made sense. What was she going to put up on her walls anyway? Her favorite band? Unlike most teenage girls her age, she didn't have one. She'd never had the time or inclination to get into those types of things too busy saving the world and all. However, that actually didn't bother her. Like trying to figure out the latest fashions, it was just one more thing she didn't have to worry about.

Rushing into the room that was solely hers despite the fact that she probably only spent about a quarter of a year in it, Gohanna placed the majority of the contents of her messenger bag in her desk drawer, leaving the weighted training items out on top of the ebony surface of her desk. After placing the last item in her desk, Gohanna took a moment to calm herself. It would do her no good if she confronted Videl when she wasn't at the top of her game. The young woman's strong will would surely overpower Gohanna's good sense that little voice in her head keeping her in check so she didn't end up screwing things up. The process was quick as she placed her hands securely at her side, quickly getting her tail out of sight and her thoughts on training and only training. 'Dende, this is going to be a long seven weeks if I can't keep myself under control,' she thought as she grabbed the clothes she was planning on giving to Videl and headed back outside to wait on her.

Walking back outside, Gohanna's wait didn't last long as not even ten minutes passed before she spotted the familiar yellow jet-copter. Without her consent, her anxiety grew. 'How am I supposed to keep myself in check?' she asked herself as she continued to watch Videl's copter get closer and closer to Capsule Corp. "Ah-ha," she exclaimed out loud. 'Maybe I can get Trunks to come and hang out with us. He'd be like my restraint. What could possibly happen with an eight year old in the room?' she pondered as she began to search for his ki. "Damn, just my luck," she cursed softly to herself. 'He's already training with Vegeta in the main gravity chamber.'

Shaking her head she continued to look at the approaching jet-copter. "Speaking of gravity chambers, I'm going to have to incorporate that into Videl's training," she mumbled aloud, lightly scratching at the back of her head. 'I know Bulma's got another one tucked away somewhere.' Just as Gohanna finished her thoughts, Videl's jet-copter touched down a little ways away from her, pulling her attention elsewhere. She watched as Videl descended from her copter before it was swiftly capsulized and stuffed into a container, shoved securely in her pocket. Gohanna felt trapped as she gazed upon the petite girl in front of her, her mind quickly flashing to the words Vegeta had practically beaten into her skull the other day before she quickly shook the idea from her mind. She needed to keep this professional because simply put, friendly was just a little too close to intimate, and intimate would get her into all kinds of trouble. No one overstepped their bounds when it came to Videl. No one.

"So Son, where do we begin?" Videl's question brought Gohanna from her stupor as she slowly took charge. This was her training session after all.

"Well, first things first, I've got something for you," she began as she remembered the items in her hands. "These are for you," she said, and she was surprised when she saw Videl's face drop when she quickly added what they were. "They're weighted clothes. I wasn't sure what you would wear so I had a bunch of different things made. There's a weighted undershirt, two wrist bands, and weighted boots," she stated as she pointed out each item. "I advise wearing all of it as the more weight you have on the faster you'll improve, but the choice is yours."

"Sure Son," Videl replied and she seemed to pause for a moment, seemingly waiting for Gohanna to say something else. She couldn't help but feel as if she was missing something. Did she do something wrong? Was she forgetting something? She was pretty sure weighted clothing wasn't some suggestive signal to reenact the sordid fantasies she'd been having lately, but she wasn't that well versed in regular human interactions so maybe she'd missed something. Just as Gohanna was starting to panic, Videl continued. "As much as I'd love to change into this with you staring at me, we are out in the open. It would ruin the mood," Videl added sarcastically, a sneer forming on her lips leaving Gohanna completely flustered.

"Oh, yeah," she stumbled over her words as her face burned. She was probably as red as Chaiotzu's face. "Yeah, I can, I can take you to one of the changing rooms," she finally managed to stutter out, her entire face angled away from Videl as she began to head into the compound. "I'd give you directions but it's a little confusing the first couple of times you walk through here," Gohanna added once she'd regained some form of control. Finally after what Gohanna was sure was a century, they'd managed to make it to the nearest changing room. "Yeah, you can go, um, right in here," she managed to say successfully without looking at Videl.

"Thanks Son," Videl replied sarcastically with what Gohanna could only guess was a smirk on her face.

"One minute," she complains out loud. "I'm in her presence for less than a minute and she's already got me flustered," she pouted.

"Who's got you flustered Hanna-chan?" The question came out from nowhere, causing Gohanna to nearly jump out of her skin in surprise. Spinning on her heels, Gohanna came face to face with the owner of the disembodied voice, Bulma.

"Geez Bulma, you nearly scared me half to death," she huffed out grasping her chest in an attempt to calm her raging heartbeat.

"Sorry Hanna-chan. You're usually more attentive. I thought you heard me coming. You know with that amazing Saiyan hearing and all," Bulma apologized a mischievous grin clouding her features. "You must have been pretty distracted just now."

"Ah, yeah, I guess you could say that," she replied hesitantly. You could never trust Bulma when she had that look in her eyes.

"Anyway, who's got you all flustered?" she asked again, a wicked glint burning in her eyes.

"Oh, no one in particular," she replied evasively in hopes that Bulma would just drop the subject.

"Oh well," Bulma stated and Gohanna let out a sigh of relief, at least one thing was going well for her. "I thought you were going to be training with your little friend today?" Bulma asked as she eyed her suspiciously. "You know if you don't want to do these projects anymore all you have to do is say so. There's no need to lie about having other things to do," Bulma said with a slightly hurt tone to her words.

"Oh no Bulma, that's not the case at all," Gohanna attempted to ease the older woman's feelings. "I love working on our little projects together, and I am training with a friend today, she's in the changing room right now so I'm just waiting on her."

"Oh well, if that's the case I better get going. I've got to make sure the kitchen-bots are working on the evening meal. I've got to feed three hungry Saiyans now you know," Bulma said with a wink before turning away.

"Oh wait, don't you want to meet my friend Videl?" she asked quickly, before the woman could leave.

"Well, if you think I'm cool enough to meet your friends," Bulma replied with a faint twinkle in her eye. Gohanna just barely noticed it as she continued speaking.

"Oh come on Bulma, you know you're the coolest person I know," she said as she wondered what Bulma could possibly be up to.

"Well, if you insist," Bulma stated a little too quickly for Gohanna's tastes, something was definitely up, but before Gohanna could ask her what was going on or even recant her offer Videl took that opportunity to walk out of the changing room. "Oh you must be Videl," Bulma nearly squealed.

"Yeah, I'm…" but Videl was cut off by the giddy woman as she clasped her hands over Videl's.

"I've heard so much about you," she nearly squealed again leaving Gohanna completely confused as Bulma started to lead Videl away from the area.

'How in the HFIL could she have possibly heard about Videl?' Gohanna asked herself as Bulma and Videl got farther and farther away from her.

"You must see the compound," Gohanna heard Bulma say from a distance. "And if I do say so myself, I give a wonderful tour."

'Was it mother?' Gohanna asked herself before Bulma's words finally penetrated through her thought process. 'Wait did she say tour?' she thought, frantically searching for the two women's forms. Finally spotting them off in the distance, Gohanna raced after them.

"As you can see, this is only a small portion of the compound. It's designated for friends and family and has a wonderful homey feel," Gohanna heard Bulma say as she finally caught up with them.

"Hey Bulma, that's nice and all, but Videl and I need to train," she interrupted the tour, placing a hand on Bulma's shoulders and stirring her in another direction, one that would take her to her personal laboratory so that she could hopefully be out of their hair. "I'll take her on a tour of the compound another time," she quickly added when she saw the beginning signs of protest form on Bulma's face.

"Well fine, if you insist," Bulma huffed in frustration, before she headed down the corridor in the direction she'd been turned to.

"Sorry about that," she apologized to Videl as she headed back to the clearing they were using before.

"That was Bulma Briefs?" Videl sounded stunned and Gohanna couldn't help but chuckle at her surprise.

"Yeah, she can get a little carried away sometimes," Gohanna laughed, a hand firmly rubbing the back of her head as she grinned good naturedly. "Personally I think she gets it from her mother, Granny Bunny."

"I'm starting to understand how you know the Briefs," Videl said as they finally reached the door to the clearing.

"Why's that?" Gohanna asked innocently as she turned her head to look down at the girl next to her.

"If she's anything to go by, then the Briefs are just as weird as you Son," Videl continued as they stepped out into the clearing again.

"Ah, well, I guess we're all kind of weird," she shrugged as she began to stretch. "You do have to be some kind of crazy to marry a Saiyan."

"Wait, are you telling me that Bulma Briefs is married to an alien. The notorious Mr. Briefs is a Saiyan like you," Videl asked skeptically as she too began to stretch, unconsciously mimicking Gohanna's movements.

"Well, no, Vegeta's not like me," Gohanna began as she slowly lifted up into the air, her body still performing the stretches. "He's a full blooded Saiyan like my father only he also happens to be royalty."

"Royalty," Videl repeated as she to unconsciously followed Gohanna up to the sky.

"Yeah, you can't go two minutes in a conversation with him without him reminding you that he's the Prince of all Saiyans," she answered the unspoken question as she stopped her movements, hovering lightly in the air, letting silence fill the air between them.

"So Son, what are we working on today," Videl asked, unable to let the quiet last for too long.

"You mean what are we working on now?" Gohanna countered, mischief lighting her eyes.

"No, I mean today," Videl answered confusion slowly clouding her eyes. "We haven't done anything yet."

"You sure about that," Gohanna asked, a smile to her voice as she paused for dramatic effect. "Look down Videl," she commanded softly, a smile lighting her face as she watched Videl glance down with an annoyed look in her eyes. The look lasted for all of a second before Videl nearly fell out of the sky form shock.

"But how," Videl asked in slight awe. She was clearly surprised that she was able to so effortlessly accomplish a task that she'd had so much trouble with just yesterday.

"I wanted to show you that flying isn't as hard as it seems," she answered the partially voiced question.

"But the extra weight, it shouldn't be possible," Videl replied, voice still laced with skepticism and awe.

"That Videl is where you're wrong," she countered as she felt herself slip into lecture mode. "Flight isn't about the weight you carry, not really," she continued as she flew up higher, expecting Videl to follow. She wasn't disappointed. "Flight is about enhancing a skill you already possess. If you can walk, you can fly," she began as she slowly hovered through the air. "If you can jog, then you can fly," she said as she sped up her path through the air, making a slow circle around Videl's still form. "And if you can run, then you can fly," she finished as she took off racing a path around Videl. "You can fly as fast and as easily as you can move on the ground. In fact you can learn to fly much faster than you could ever dream of running. Flight is simply another learned skill. It's as simple as letting your body do it for you. Don't force it Videl," she finished as she stopped in front of Videl's prone form.

"But how?" Videl asked again, still in disbelief that flight could be that easy.

"Because flying is a skill that once learned, you can never forget," Gohanna answered as she slowly lowered her body back to the ground. "That's why we won't be flying when we train," she continued when Videl finally touched ground right next to her.

"And why not?" Videl asked tersely, it seemed her bite had returned.

"Because you don't need the practice. At least not that type of practice," Gohanna replied, effectively ignoring Videl's tone of voice. "We'll be working on ki manipulation so that you can work on the most basic skill that governs how quickly and easily you can fly. We'll work on ki blasts, stamina and strength infused with ki energy and of course any form you see me use that you want to incorporate into your own fighting style," she lectured, completely in teacher mode.

At the sound of Son going in to lecture mode, Videl clocked out, letting her mind wander as she took a moment to examine the lengthy girl standing before her. This was only the second time she'd seen the girl in training clothes but it was starting to really distract her, especially while they weren't actively doing anything. There was just something about her tall, delicate form that made her want to reach out and touch the dark haired girl before her. Son was wearing another dark gi today, its dark blue outer top and bottoms wrapped around her form snuggly, accentuating her well-formed chest and behind. Videl shivered as her eyes lingered, until she was finally able to pull her eyes from the nicely shaped rear end in front of her. She trailed her eyes up, vaguely noticing the long-sleeved red under shirt that almost seemed to cling to her body. Her eyes travelled up and up until they landed on the gentle angles of her face. Videl shook herself from her stupor when she felt the ridiculous urge to sweep that stubborn lock of black hair back behind her left ear.

Focusing back in, Videl heard Son end her short speech on ki manipulation. "So basically, that's what we'll be doing for most of the day," she lectured on, completely unaware that her audience had completely tuned out the entirety of her instruction. "We'll also probably start each training session with different ki exercises so be prepared to become a tired, sweaty mess using up a lot of energy while you're training with me," she finished and the image immediately sent her mind to the gutter. Did Son really have to make things sound so suggestive? "First things first, we're going to work on simply forming ki blasts so you can get a feel of what your ki feels like when you use it."

"Well, let the training commence," Videl said with a roll of her eyes focusing on how boring Son could be instead of the blush attempting to cover her face at the direction of her thoughts. Hai, she just needed to focus on how much a nerd Son was and she'd make it through this training session without embarrassing herself.

"Okay, well first off, I'm going to have you aim at the particularly large rock over there," Son said while pointing to a rock that looked like it used to be a small portion of one of the walls of the Capsule Corp. Compound. Shrugging the thought aside, she attempted to form a ki blast through one hand. Nothing happened, but she wasn't perturbed. She'd just learned this damn skill yesterday. She couldn't expect it to work perfectly just yet. Although, as the minutes passed her agitation with the situation did grow. How was it she could flawlessly lift into the air, but she couldn't form a fucking ball of energy?

'What the fuck is wrong with me,' she thought as her anger rose. 'First it takes me forever to learn how to fly, but now I can't even make a damn ki blast shot from my fucking hand,' she cursed as her frustration rose.

Abruptly the heat in her blood cooled as she felt the calming presence of Son surround her. "Open your eyes Videl," Son gently commanded her, and Videl was surprised to find that her eyes were indeed closed.

'They must of shut sometime during my concentration,' she thought as she did as she was told. As she'd learned from yesterday, there was no point in ignoring Son's advice.

Then, just as abruptly as her blood had cooled it seemed to heat up to a boil as she felt Son's hot breathe graze her ear. "You have to relax," Son spoke directly into the shell of her ear, sending a chill through her body. "Don't force the power. Let it flow through you just like you let it flow through you when you fly."

'I don't know how she expects me to relax when she's practically wrapped around me,' Videl thought before she felt herself relax despite the circumstances. Refocusing on her ki, she pushed it through her body and out of her hand only this time she allowed it to flow as it liked, simply guiding it to the desired destination. It worked, Videl noticed as she watched a golden light leave her hand and hit the rock before her. 'This is becoming a bad habit,' she thought as she continued to feel the heat of Son's body against her. 'She shouldn't be able to have so much power over my body, over me.'

"Way to go Videl," Son cheered as she slowly stepped away from her. "Now try again," Son encouraged, that goofy smile plastered to her face. With a roll of her eyes, Videl complied shooting another golden blast at the rock. "Very good Videl, now continue to shoot ki blasts until you feel yourself running low on ki," Son instructed and Videl again found herself complying without complaint.

A couple hundred blasts later found Videl covered in sweat and exhausted as she plopped down on the ground.

"Wow Videl that's a lot more blasts then I thought you'd be able to make," Son said with awe in her voice and wonder in her eyes.

"What now Son," Videl asked in an attempt to bring the lengthy girl back to Earth.

"Well, now we do endurance training," she replied and for the first time Videl noticed an evil glint light up her eyes momentarily. She hadn't even know the taller girl could look so wicked, downright devious. Something deep in her chest burned as she looked on, secretly enjoying discovering new things about the girl beside her.

"Endurance training doing what exactly," she asked, skepticism clearly coloring her voice. Son certainly had something up her sleeves and something told Videl she wasn't going to like it.

"It's time for you to start dodging Ms. Satan," Son all but grinned, the wicked glint burning in her eyes as she powered up a ki blast of her own.

"What the fuck?" was all Videl was able to get out before the ki blast was sent her way. A lazy toss that afforded her enough time to rapidly springing to her feet as she managed to flip out of the way, just to have to twist as the next blast came at her left side. Soon her twist became a back hand spring as she dodged the blast aimed for her legs. Videl quickly realized her mistake as she felt the heat of a blast come at her while she was still in the air, swiftly utilizing her newly acquired ability to fly, Videl forced herself higher in the air to avoid the blast before shooting back towards the ground. She couldn't afford to take this battle to the air yet.

The two continued their little dance of cat and mouse for what Videl felt had to be hours as her reflexes began to slow and her movement became sluggish, but she knew that it had to have only been minutes at most. Finally she felt Son pick up the pace.

"You've done an excellent job so far Videl, but let's see how well you do when you've got two blasts to dodge at once," Son goaded as she formed ki blasts in both hands, firing them simultaneously. Videl twisted in midair, ducking her head under while simultaneously bringing her legs off the ground. Fluidly her twist transformed into a quick roll as she dodge the blast aimed at where her head had just been. The roll quickly became a hand spring twist to avoid the other two blasts sent her way. Landing into another hand spring, Videl forced her body to go back the way it came landing in a hand stand, both of her legs quickly separating as she performed an aerial split before she quickly transferred the weight of her body to one hand as she raises her right leg back up to twist her body back out of the way of another blast. In one fluid motion her twist became a cartwheel as she continued to dodge. Finally, Videl just barely managed to avoid a blast by jerking her head to the side, the heat of said blast making her wince, dropping to the ground the moment Son called it quits.

"Good job Videl," Son complimented as she gave Videl a hand up. "You adjusted well to the added weight of the training clothes."

"Yeah, well I can't wait to take this crap off," she replied as she wiped the sweat from her brow.

"Well, about that," Gohanna began, her nervousness coming back out for the first time since they began training. "You should probably wear that as often as possible," she added, as her eyes looked at everything but Videl.

"And why is that?" Videl asked, completely annoyed by the nervousness in Son's demeanor. She much preferred the confident girl that didn't hesitate to get into her personal space.

"It's good for overall strength training," she replied and it was clear she was attempting to channel her lecture mode. "It should build on your overall ki supply as well as strengthen your muscles as your body learns to adjust to the new weight," she continued, failing to grasp on to her lecture mode completely, but managing to gain some of the calmness she usually obtained from the mode.

"Fine," Videl replied as she dug into her pocket, correctly guessing that they were through with their training session for the day. Finally digging out her capsule case, Videl opened it, taking her jet-copter capsule out before looking up at the silent girl standing before her. She was startled to find Son's eyes on her, feeling stripped down as inky black eyes bored into her seemingly seeing right through her. It unnerved her to have those intense black eyes staring at her and she was even more surprised to hear the sentence that left Son's full lips.

"Dende you're beautiful," Videl heard the words as barely more than a whisper as if they were a part of the very wind surrounding her. A blush started to grow as Videl attempted to shake herself from her stupor.

'She couldn't have possibly said that,' Videl told herself as she tried to regain control of the color of her face. 'It was just a trick of the wind,' she thought as she successfully convinced herself that her mind was playing tricks on her and she hadn't heard anything at all.

"You okay there Son," Videl asked once she'd regained some semblance of control.

"What?" Son asked as Videl watched the intense haze leave her eyes.

"You spaced out on me for a while, Son. I was just trying to bring you back to the land of the living," Videl replied sarcastically, falling back on the only comfortable emotion she knew.

"Oh, yeah, sorry about that," Son replied embarrassed, both hands behind her head as she laughed. "I was just lost in thought for a moment."

"I could see that," Videl replied with a roll of the eyes. 'That's Son for you,' she thought as she decapsulized her jet-copter. "Well, I'll see you at school tomorrow," Videl said as she jumped into her copter.

"Yeah, see you Videl," Son replied as Videl lifted off and headed back home to Satan City. Videl looked back once more, expecting to see Son headed back inside only to be greeted by a pair of intense black eyes.

'Kami-sama, that girl's going to be the death of me,' Videl thought as she tore her eyes away, trying to refocus on the path in front of her.

The bright morning sun shone through the sheer black curtains, leaving a spotted pattern across the room as it glinted across the large ebony desk. The limited light flirted across the numerous photos and books lining the walls and charcoal black shelves, gliding across one of the dark oak doors, partially opened and letting out addition light. Humming could be heard through the door, a soft tune intertwined with the constant patter of water hitting the black tile of the shower and its tall occupant moving within its hazy confines.

Gohanna was in the process of rinsing her hair, giving the long black locks their final rinse through as she went through the final pass of her strict regiment for her hair care hygiene. When it came to her hair, she treated the practice "lather, rinse, and repeat" like a religious slogan, devoutly following the instructions at least three times if not more depending on her mood. Today was definitely a five times through regiment day, the number just large enough to calm down her nerves while still being small enough for her to finish while still having time to get ready for school without the fear of being late. The technique normally worked, as she'd been using it to relax for stressful days before, but for some reason she couldn't quiet find the peace of mind that she was searching for which was probably due to one tiny girl, Videl.

'Man, if all my weekends with Videl are going to be this stimulating, I'm going to drive myself crazy within a couple of weeks,' she thought as she leaned into the spray letting the hot water run down her back as she let her thoughts wander. For a moment she let herself remember the magnificent performance put on by Videl the other day. The way she'd twisted and turned, moving so fluidly that it'd set her blood aflame with want and desire. The thick liquid in her veins had boiled with a heat she'd never before felt. All-consuming in its fire, relentlessly demanding that she do something, anything to relieve it. She wasn't completely certain what that something was, but she also didn't want to really think about it. She wasn't entirely sure she was ready to find out either.

So she'd held strong and focused as best as she could which if she was being honest wasn't all that well. It was a lot harder to concentrate on hurling ki balls when all you wanted to do to your target was pin her down and stake some kind of claim on her body. It hadn't been clear what type of claim her Saiyan side wanted to make but again she wasn't in any hurry to find out. She had a sinking suspicion of what it might be however, she was nearly one hundred present positive that that particular type of overture would not be well received by one Ms. Videl.

'What in all of HFIL am I going to do?' she asked herself as she absentmindedly shut off the tap, stepping out onto the blue mosque and black colored tiles that lined her bathroom floor. Videl was more than just the sexiest woman on the planet, possibly the entire universe. She was also one hell of a fighter, and that was a deadly combination that she was finding harder and harder to resist. Her Saiyan side was nearly screaming at her to do something to bring Videl closer, but she still wasn't sure if she was ready to give in to her desires. They were dangerous in their raw, wild nature, and it was a level of passion that until this point she hadn't thought she was capable of producing.

'This is crazy,' she thought to herself as she grabbed a teal colored towel waiting for her near her shower door. 'I shouldn't have to deal with this,' she complained to herself as she padded across the thick, black carpet of her Capsule Corp. room. "And you know what, I won't," she said aloud as she thoughtlessly started to dry herself off. After a minute of being lost within her own thoughts she snapped out of her trance to realize what she was doing. 'What in the HFIL am I doing?' she asked herself, stopping all motion in the process. Quickly powering up she continued with her thoughts. 'I'm not sure why I wanted to do things the slow way when this is so much easier.'

Now completely dry, Gohanna hesitantly turned to her bed to see what Bulma had set out for her to wear. That was perhaps the only down side to this particular visit which unlike previous visits, required her to dress in something other than training gear. This would be the first time that she let Bulma dress her up for school and there was no telling if it would be acceptable for class. "At least I don't have to fight about make-up," she mumbled to herself as she eyed the blouse and skirt suspiciously. 'They don't look scandalous,' she thought as she rumbled through her top draw looking for a white bra to match the blouse just in case it was a little too sheer for her liking.

Once she had her undergarments on, she turned back to the clothes lying on her bed. 'This blouse looks innocent enough,' she thought as she picked it up off the bed and put it on. It was a little tighter then she would normally wear but nothing like that blouse she'd worn to Aspen's party so she didn't complain. Plus, she kind of liked the quarter sleeves with their neatly folded edges held up with a single button on each side and the red dragon patterns running across the front of the blouse. The blouse looked terribly familiar, but she couldn't remember where she'd seen it before. Shrugging she picked up the skirt and took a look at it before putting it on. If memory served her right, the skirt resembled a gored skirt, black with red laced trimming the edges, the end of which rested three or four inches above her knee. It was all together pretty, if a bit on the short side, but again it wasn't as bad as the skirt she'd worn for Aspen's party so she thought it was okay. Grabbing a pair of sandals with not too dreadfully tall heels and slipping them on, Gohanna was finally dress but by no means ready to go.

Silently cursing as she plopped right down in front of her vanity mirror positioned directly across from her bed, Gohanna sighed as she poked at her hair. Her hair was still a bit of a mess, but she didn't have high hopes for completely taming it. Grabbing her brush from within one of the ebony drawers she began to brush her hair. 'What I wouldn't give for hair more like mother's,' she thought as she continued the long, dull process of brushing her hair. Her hair just wasn't made to be straight and pretty like her mother's which didn't surprise her because she'd always been a little more like her father, unruly hair included. 'And it's not as if I could just cut it and be done with it,' she thought to herself still brushing the tangles out of her hair. 'I've tried that before and my hair is just too messy for it to work properly,' she thought as she finally finished brushing her hair. Grabbing a hair tie, she bundled her hair up into a low pony-tail, successfully getting it out of the way. Jumping up from her seat, Gohanna started for the door, stopping momentarily in order to pick up her messenger bag before heading out to eat breakfast with the Briefs, an experience that was almost always filled with a guaranteed laugh.

'These corridors never change,' Gohanna thought as she walked through the long winding hallways of the residential area of Capsule Corp. She'd been taking the same path to the kitchen since she was seven and Bulma had given her her own room in the compound. Staying at the compound was a lot different from living in the mountain area. For one thing, life here was hectic. 'But hectic in a good way,' she thought as she turned another corner. Training in the morning wasn't as simple as flying a little over fifty miles to find the best clearing. No, she had to either share the gravity chamber with the royal Saiyan pain in the ass Vegeta or try to find the spare gravity chamber and decapsulize it in the family courtyard. While she would have rather not been bother with his royal pain, she hadn't had time to ask Bulma about the spare gravity chamber so she had had no choice but to share.

Luckily for her Vegeta liked to sleep in and she was still plagued with visions of Videl and herself in compromising positions, some of which she wasn't sure were possible to get into and she most certainly wasn't sure how she'd even imagined them. She hadn't thought she was that creative. And it wasn't like she was some kind of sex crazed teenager at least she hadn't been before she'd meet Videl. But with that aside, having Vegeta out of the way, she'd had the best gravity chamber in the entire compound to herself. It was a nice way to spend her morning, and an even better way to strength train, something she didn't get to do that often. She'd had nearly four hours of undisturbed training before the royal ass showed up in a foul mood around five thirty, dry humor and insults flying like rain in a thunder storm. She'd only been able to bear the following forty-five minutes through sheer will power alone and the fact that Vegeta had no desire to have his ass handed to him that early in the morning.

Finally making it to the kitchen, Gohanna sat herself at the island in the center before greeting the only other occupant. "Morning Bulma," she greeting as she filled her plate with what she knew was the kitchen-bots' cooking. Bulma never cooked this early in the morning. She, like the majority of the Briefs, wasn't really much of a morning person. At least not until she'd had a couple cups of coffee.

"Morning Hanna-chan, you looking forward to school kid?" Bulma asked between sips of her coffee, head bent down and elbows resting against the top of the counter as she inhaled the scent of her morning cup of Joe.

"Yeah, but I can't wait to get back here and work on our project. I find the difficulty in designing the newest line of capsule corp. vehicles to be far more exciting," Gohanna chatted animatedly between mouthfuls, glad to be discussing a subject she felt at home with for a change.

"Really? Which design do you think will be the hardest?" Bulma questioned just as excited about their project. Given her rather perky demeanor, Gohanna would've hazard a guess that the older woman was on her third cup of the morning.

"Definitely the astronomical vehicle. It's a lot harder to warp space while keeping time relatively constant," she replied after clearing another couple plates.

"Yeah it is, but we've already got the basics down. I mean daddy laid most of the ground work on that one with his work on the last couple of spacecrafts. All we'll really need to do is strengthen the warp pulls, but I agree with you. The physics in that design is a lot more advanced than the concepts in the others," Bulma added as she watched Gohanna nod in between random bites.

Finishing up quickly, Gohanna enjoyed the rest of her conversation with Bulma. She just loved how the older woman would light up as she elaborated on one subject or another. It was clear where her passion lay and Gohanna admired that about her. She could only hope that she'd ever be so lucky. Finding that one passion that breathed life into your day was not something that everyone had the opportunity to enjoy. But looking at Bulma gave her hope. She'd find it. She was positive that she would. "Well I'm off to class," she announced before rising from her seat and starting for the closest exit.

"See ya later kiddo," Bulma waved, happily turning back to the newspaper sitting out in front of her.

The fly over to Satan city was short, but she had expected that. After all West city was a heck of a lot closer to Satan city then the 439 mountain area. Considering she'd wanted to patrol this morning that was probably a good thing. Of course she had absolutely no desire to waste her time knocking around weak humans that didn't stop her from wanting to see Videl fight. The desire was oppressive, as if she had no control over herself. She needed to watch Videl in her element, twisting and turning as she beat the crap out of someone. At this point anyone would due, well maybe not just anyone. What she really craved was a fight with the girl herself. She wanted Videl to turn those fists on her, but she wasn't stupid. Videl wasn't anywhere near strong enough for that yet. True, she didn't actually think that Videl would ever be able to best her in a fight, not when she could ascend, but she didn't think Videl was too far off from being able to put up a good fight without her ascension. So, Gohanna almost felt guilty, almost. While she wouldn't be patrolling to protect the citizens of Satan City, she would be there. If for some reason they needed her, she could help. She wasn't about to let herself get so distracted that she put Videl's life in danger. Not again, not ever.

Making it to Satan city, Gohanna flew her standard search pattern, ignoring the mundane disturbances in hopes of finding Videl. It seemed that today was her lucky day as she spotted a heavily armed robbery in progress. It was just the type of disturbance the Chief of Police would call Videl for. Sitting back on a nearby rooftop, Gohanna waited for Videl to arrive at the scene. Again, luck was on her side as only moments after she'd touched down on the roof Videl came running to the scene, falling in behind a police car to receive a quick debriefing on the situation. In what felt like no time at all, Videl was creeping behind the building in order to disarm and subdue anyone left in the building. Gohanna eagerly watched as Videl snuck up behind one of the robbers before quickly knocking him unconscious, not bothering to disarm the man as the extra step would've just given her position away.

Gohanna's gaze followed Videl as she went to the next robber, quickly knocking him unconscious with a well-placed punch. Her heart pounded in anticipation of Videl's next move. If she was correct, Videl would go for the last few robbers together, utilizing her flexibility and speed to best the three would-be robbers left. Fortunately she wasn't disappointed as Videl somersaulted over the robber to the far right, grabbing on to his shoulders and using her momentum to throw him at his partner to the far left effectively disarming them both. Gohanna's blood began to boil as she watched Videl continue her flip, gracefully avoiding the random spray of bullets delivered by the only man left standing. Continuing her forward momentum by tucking into a roll only to pop out of it into a backwards handspring, Videl reversed her direction, completely throwing the would-be robber through a loop as he tried to follow her path. Gohanna's full attention followed Videl as she flipped over her current assailant, landing behind him and quickly giving him an elbow to his right kidney. Bending down and continuing the motion of her kidney shot, Gohanna watched as Videl swept the robber off his feet and over her body, placing her arm at the back of his knees to bend him over while helping him around her so that his head hit the concrete with a resounding crack. Gohanna's blood grew hot and thick in her veins in response to the perfectly executed maneuver. Her eyes racking over each fluid movement. She was hypnotized, unable to look away if she tried, and truth be told, she really didn't want to try.

She watched as the two robbers Videl had previously knocked down began to rise, each frantically searching for their weapons as they looked up to see Videl stand from her bent position. She took her time rising, a cocky smirk gracing her lips before raced towards them. Their useless search ending as the two joined their companions in unconscious bliss following Videl's attack. Personally, Gohanna quite enjoyed seeing their two heads unceremoniously conked together, but she doubt they would be laughing any time soon. As their bodies dropped, Gohanna's mesmerized gaze traced Videl as she tugged at her fingerless gloves before blowing across her fingertips and flipping her hair from her face. She struggled with her instincts as her Saiyan side screamed at her. Howling its need to pin Videl to the nearest wall and dominate as Videl walk back over to the Chief of Police, a confident swagger in her step. Gohanna growled.

'Oh Dende, it's getting worse,' Gohanna thought after shaking herself out of her trance. She'd been close to making her nightly dreams a reality in the middle of a crime scene. The only thing that had stopped her was the sound of her own growl, feral and primitive, jolting her back into the present and giving her back her common sense. If this was any indicator of what was to come, she was in some deep shit.

On the ground and completely unaware of the dark primal eyes that tracked her, Videl pulled against the black leather of her fingerless gloves. Her frustration mounting at the ill fit as she re-adjusted them for what felt like the hundredth time. 'This is getting annoying,' she though with a huff as she curled her hand into a fist to check the fit of the glove. 'I shouldn't have to re-adjust my gloves every time I punch something or do a frickin' hand spring,' she silently complained as she turned to face Police Chief Wiggins. 'It is definitely time for a new pair,' she thought as she reflected on her morning, completely dissatisfied with the results. 'You'd think that someone trying to rob a bank in my city would at least be able to put up a decent fight,' she mentally complained while giving her debrief to the Chief.

She'd barely broken a sweat fighting those would-be crooks, and she was not happy about it. Where was the challenge? Where was the fight, the real fight, when she desperately needed it? The entire ordeal had been simply laughable, lasting barely two minutes tops. And the worst part was she'd really needed the diversion. She'd needed that disturbance to completely distract her from herself and her thoughts which had been centered on a certain dark-haired, naïve, self-proclaimed half-alien girl for the last two days.

She could only burn off so much sexual frustration by destroying her father's punching bags, and frankly even that type of physical exertion was lacking. 'I guess that shouldn't surprise me,' Videl thought as she decapsulized her jet-copter. Her dreams were steadily become more and more intense and graphic as the figures in her dreams reached new heights of intimacy. Simply put, it was driving her crazy and she was currently well beyond basic sexual frustration. This was not a simple case of horny teenage hormones running rampant. If she didn't find some kind of a release for the tension soon, she was going to do more than drive herself wild.

It didn't take her jet-copter long to reach the landing platform set up on the roof of Orange Star High and soon Videl found herself half running, half jogging down the steps heading to the floor with her locker on it so she could grab her books before heading for class. Traveling the familiar hallways, she allowed her mind to wander confident that no one would dare bother her as she headed to her locker. No one was that stupid. They'd known her or about her long enough to stir clear of her if she was alone. Because without Erasa or even Sharpner, talking to her was like trying to navigate a minefield. You just never knew when you'd step on a bomb.

So she walked the halls confidently unaware of her surroundings. It wasn't like there was a real need for her to pay attention anyway. It wasn't like there were a ton of students running around the corridors this close to the start of class either. Of course it was just her luck that today of all days she'd bumped into someone else. Or maybe she'd hit a something because whatever she'd run into felt an awful lot like a brick wall. Well, it had felt that way. Seeing as it eventually did give way, stumbling over itself in the process, perhaps it had only been temporary. "What the fuck," Videl cursed as she looked down at the scatter of binders and pens littering the floor.

"I'm so sorry," apologized a familiar voice she was about to place however, she never got the chance. Before she could focus on the soft voice that escaped the bent figure, she'd made the mistake of looking down. Staring at the toned legs that even bent looked like they could go on for days, Videl was really starting to question her sexuality. First Son, now this girl scrambling to pick up more class materials then anyone really needed for just a few classes, yeah, she should start questioning. Shaking out of her leg induced stupor, she crotched down to help pick up some of the wayward objects in front of her. She glanced over at the girl beside her, head lowered as she frantically retrieved her items from the ground. Videl had to repress a chuckle at her obvious embarrassed over her own clumsiness.

Finally grabbing the last item near her, Videl turned to the bent girl beside her and waited patiently for the other girl to face her. A biting remark was on the tip of her tongue, but for some reason she held back. She didn't know why, but she didn't want to mean to this girl. Maybe it was because the girl was already so embarrassed she didn't feel the need to add on to it. Or perhaps, though she loathed to admit it, it was because she found her to be adorable and kind of cute. Whatever the reason, she was in a mood to be kind as rare as that was. Bending over, she moved to help the embarrassed girl up. Smirk firmly in place, she watched as the girl finally turned to look at her. Enraptured, Videl was unable to turn away from the same stare that haunted her dreams on a nightly basis.

"You should really try working on not being so clumsy Son," Videl finally managed to get out, attempting to revert to sarcasm in order to escape a situation that was slowly growing more awkward. Unfortunately what escaped her lips was not the confident sarcastic tone she was use to expressing. Instead what came out was a wisp of statement that wavered. Though at little more than a whisper, Videl prayed Son hadn't noticed.

Watching Son struggle to find something to say, her mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water, Videl felt confident the other girl hadn't noticed anything beyond the offered hand still extended towards her. "You alright there Son?" she asked as the taller girl continued to stare open mouthed at her extend palm.

"I…ah, I…hai," she stuttered in response.

"Good," Videl replied as Son finally took her offered hand. Pulling her to her feet, Videl found herself leaning in closer, the space between their faces decreasing as time seemed to slow. "You should also work on not running into people," she added as her grip on the other girl tightened.

"I, I'll try," Son answered knocking Videl back to her senses as she felt the soft touch of the other girl's breathe against her lips. Mentally shaking herself from her stupor, Videl pulled back, quickly offering the material she'd gathered to girl standing next to her.

After what felt like hours of Son simply staring at offered objects, Videl's temper finally got the better of her and she snapped. "Last time I check these belonged to you now fucking take them before I toss them back on the damn floor." It didn't take long for Son to get the hint and she was soon taking the materials out of Videl's hand.

"Domo arigatou Videl," Son meekly replied as her eyes once again stared at the floor.

"Maybe if you didn't stare at the ground like you dropped you lunch capsule on the floor and it rolled away before you could pick the damn thing up, you wouldn't run into people in the hallway," Videl snapped, finally back to her normally sarcastic self as she walked the short distance to her locker.

"Sorry Videl," came Son's simple reply. It was almost pathetic the way Son let her walk all over her she thought as she mentally shook her head while grabbing her books.

'I'm not even sure why I didn't recognize the nerd right off the back,' Videl thought to herself as she turned back around to see the tall girl there still waiting on her. Starting from the floor and working her way up, she realized exactly why the nerd Videl called her friend and the girl on the floor didn't immediately connect. Son wasn't wearing her normally conservative outfit today. Nope, in its place was a skirt that couldn't be considered conservative but also couldn't be considered sluttish either. It was somewhere in the middle, showing just enough leg to give the image of Son's legs going on forever, but not too much that she had to worry about flashing anyone if she bent over. In the place of her normal blouse and vest combination was a tight fitting blouse covered in complicated designs. The cut of the blouse accented Son's trim waist and well-endowed chest also without making her look like a slut. In other words, she looked nothing like the nerdy girl that had been added to her short list of friends and thus her inability to recognize her right away.

'I'm not sure what's gotten into Son, but I'm certainly not going to complain,' Videl thought as she shut her locker and started off to class, Son following hot on her heels.

The hallways echoed with the sounds of footsteps and chatter as small groups of students traversed across its cream colored tiled floor, the warm afternoon sun warming its pale walls. Each group huddled together as they moved from hallway to hallway all at a sedated, lackadaisical pace, except for the pair of girls powering down the hall in the opposite direction of their traveling peers.

Videl's short legs rapidly covered the distance of the hallway as she studiously ignored the tall girl following her close behind like a lost puppy. She wasn't currently in the mood to listen to whatever hair-brained idea the geek had on her mind. Mentally sighing Videl turned another corner in her attempt to get the nerd off her back. All she wanted was just a few minutes to herself. She didn't think that was so much to ask for, but it didn't look like Son was going to leave her alone anytime soon. A quick glance back confirmed her theory as Son was still hot on her heels, her long legs eating up the distance as if the pace Videl was setting was a walk in the park. 'Which it probably is,' thought Videl as she remembered exactly who Son was, Saiya-girl. She still had trouble wrapping her head around the idea.

She just needed time to clear her head, a moment or two alone with just her thoughts in order for her to get Son off of her mind and out of her head, but with said nerd tailing her and jabbering on and on about training of some sort or another, she couldn't quite escape. Here she was, rushing down the hall during free period, free fucking period, and she still couldn't catch a break. 'One hour, all I want is one fucking hour of the day were I'm not thinking about Son. Is that so much to ask for?' she left the question hanging in the air as she turned another corner and mentally noted the lack of other students hovering around the area. 'Now if I can only get rid of Son,' she thought as she attempted to tune back into the self-proclaimed half-alien currently tailing her.

"Look Videl, I know you don't want to be bothered and I know I said we'd only have to train on the weekends but I really think you'd benefit," Son continued on completely unaware that Videl had completely ignored her entire speech, lost in her own thoughts.

"And just what would that be?" Videl sneered, already tired of the mental strain being in the nerd's presence caused her. It was a particularly good thing that Son was following her and not the other way around because Videl didn't think her mind could handle any more stress. Given that it took all of one glance at impossibly long legs for her thoughts to dive straight into the gutter, she didn't think she could take walking behind the taller girl. Not now. Not when all she could think about were horribly vivid dreams and hot skin pressed together. And especially not when Son's current choice of short skirts made her want to do things she'd never thought herself capable. Acts she'd never imaged she'd want to do, public or private. It was simply torturous, and she was sure she was one short step from snapping. Kami-sama help her if her willpower broke because that was all she currently had holding her back.

"A morning spar of course," Son replied and without even a quick glance back, Videl could tell she had that cute confused look adoring her face. "Weren't you listening to a thing I said?"

It was innocent enough, but she'd been pushed too far already. She had never liked her actions being questioned to begin with. And while she'd known, deep down inside, that Son hadn't intentionally been challenging her, it felt that way. So she snapped, unsure which direction her emotions would take her, but overflowing with rage. Stopping in mid-step she wasn't sure who she was mad at or even why she was even angry. She just was. Her blood boiled as she swung around to face the geek head on, finger pointed and jabbing her in the chest. Her vision blurred, tinted red as the heat of her rage threatened to escape from her.

"Look Son, I don't have to listen to a damn thing you say," Videl hissed, punctuating her point with a forward thrust of her finger. "I tolerate you, barely, and right now you are testing my patience," she continued, her violent gaze burning holes into the girl in front of her as she took a step forward forcing a startled half-alien to hesitantly step back. "I'm not sure why my silence and complete fucking disinterest is code for you to continue to bother the hell out of me," Videl spat, another angry poke of her finger and a forceful step forward pushing Son backwards. "It's free period, free fucking period and do you know what that means?" she asked the venom in her voice like acid as she pushed forward. Another poke and another step, her frustration and anger flowing off of her in violent waves that had Son stumbling backwards with a timid shake of her head. "It means that you, like the rest of the world will leave me the fuck alone," Videl growled as she forced her way ahead. Son's back hit the wall as she attempted to escape, trapped. Trapped between a rage filled Videl and a stone wall, both of which she could have probably gotten passed if she so desired. It was too bad she could barely think, let alone use the power she had at her fingertips. She was well and truly lost.

Gohanna looked down at the girl that had managed to trap her against the wall of a deserted hallway. That type of rage, unfiltered and uncontrollable was both intimidating and a complete turn on. Right now, in this unpredictable, unscripted moment, Videl was the sexiest being alive. And she could think of nothing else. 'Dende, if only I had the courage,' Gohanna thought as she managed to stop herself from squeaking out the first unintelligible thought that came to mind. Her eyes focused on the rage filled girl in front of her again, watching the quick rise and fall of her chest, and the red tinge of her glare, hot in its burning heat, as she stood inches away from her. One small finger pressed against her chest, centered in the valley of her breasts was the only thing grounding her. Keeping her both standing and hopelessly static in her place against the cold stone wall. Dende how she wanted the girl in front of her. She wanted her more then she'd ever thought possible. She wanted that rage that unhinged fury that uncontrollable power pushing her to heights she'd only dreamed about. And while she didn't have the stones to do anything about it, she wasn't going to meekly submit to a girl who by all rights was significantly weaker than her. So she did the next best thing. "No," she said and almost instantly regretted it as she continued to hold the hot hard stare of Videl's blue eyes, her stare so intense she felt her knees quake momentarily, too stunned to even think to look away. Too enraptured to even want to.

"What did you just say?" Videl growled, low and hoarse causing Gohanna to forget everything she'd ever known. Frozen, she had no thoughts, no voice, no protests as she gazed senselessly into burning eyes.

"I, uh. No, I'm, uh, I'm not going to leave you alone," she gulped, stumbling over the words that she'd just barely been able to find. Her vocal cords felt utterly useless in this moment, but she forced them to work, forced them to take what little courage she managed to summon as she continued. "I don't want to."

Suddenly that slender finger became a small fist as she heard Videl's low growl grow in volume. A small fist yanked her roughly down by the front of her shirt bringing their faces closer, impossibly so.

"Look Son, I don't know what's gotten into you or who you think you are but no one talks to me like that, no one," Videl snarled, each word an angry puff of air against Gohanna's lips. She could taste the words, taste the fury and rage behind them as Videl spoke, and it made her feel light, weightless. Hypnotized by blue ocean depths that burned like fire, Gohanna stood dazed. It was as if time had stopped and she'd been left with only one choice. To wait. To wait out the fiery storm that was Videl. To wait and see what was in store for her now.

Despite the heat of the moment, she knew Videl would do the right thing, the rational thing, the expected thing. She'd let her go, their friendship to great and new to ruin it with misplaced anger. She'd turn around so she could continue to ignore her. She'd start back down that hallway and head back to class because that was the most logical thing to do, the best place to go at a time like this. And sure she'd probably walk at a pace that was clearly meant to tell her not to follow, but they both knew she'd follow. She would always follow. Either way, she expected Videl to do the sensible thing even enraged because Videl was reason. She was logic. Gohanna had yet to see her act otherwise. From what she'd seen, she could handle anything Videl threw at her. At least she'd thought she could. As it was, the next thing Videl did do was the last thing Gohanna was expecting. She hadn't prepared herself for this.

Videl wasn't sure why one minute she's staring down the bane of her existence, the reason she can't sleep at night, the reason she can't focus during the day, and the next her eyes are closed tight and her lips are glued to the girl in front of her. She certainly hadn't planned it, in fact she'd just been about to let the other girl go, let her walk away when her rage pushed her to do something else. She'd been overcome with an emotion so hot it burned fiercer than the most explosive anger she'd ever felt. It was more than fury, more than rage. It was…everything. She feared placing a name on the chaotic emotion that roared inside of her. She dare not even think about it. So instead she found herself pressed forcefully into Son. Unconsciously memorizing the feel of soft lips pressed tightly against her own. Her hands gripping tightly as she pulled Son impossibly close. One buried in long black locks harshly pulling her head down, and the other still bunching the fabric of Son's tight shirt tugging roughly at the material that belonged to her new 'drive me crazy' collection. A series of blouses that seemed to be succeeding in its sole purpose for the last few days.

Videl tugged harder on the black locks to bring the taller girl closer to her, savagely deepening the kiss with a slight turn of her head. She felt wild and insatiable. Looking for something, needing something she couldn't name, but that she felt she could take from the girl pressed against her. She wasn't sure she'd ever be able to let go, but eventually the need for air became too great to ignore. Breaking the kiss in a gasp for air her eyes traced everything and nothing as her mind tried to recover from the haze of pure pleasure and desire it had fallen into. Clouded, wild, lust filled eyes landed on a nearby supply closet and suddenly her body was in motion without her consent.

Whatever had possessed her to kiss Son was now fully in control of her action, and it had no particularly desire nor inclination to stop. And truthfully, neither did she. She'd gotten a taste of something so indescribable she wasn't entirely sure she wasn't dreaming. She wasn't sure if this was real, and if it was…then she could bring herself to stop. She let her thoughts escape her as she acted on pure instinct, and impulses that had never led her astray before guided her hand to the door to the supply closet throwing it open as she roughly dragged a still dazed girl into the cramped space. It was a good thing Son's cognitive levels were running so low because Videl was pretty sure she wouldn't be nice about telling the other girl to shut the fuck up so she could have her way with her.

Once they were both inside the cramped supply closet, the door closed behind them, Videl pushed Son back up against the wall, her hand at the bottom of Son's blouse as she continued to let her emotions and instincts guide her actions. She crushed her lips against Son's, grinning into the kiss as she felt the taller girl bend down into the kiss responding to an unvoiced request. 'It's as if she's reading my mind 'cause that is exactly what I wanted her to do,' Videl thought hazily as she let her hands wander the length of Son's chest.

Gohanna was a mess. She didn't know what she was supposed to do. Her sole desire for what felt like every minute of every day for the last couple of weeks was to ravish the girl in front of her, but she'd never had the stones, still didn't if her earlier actions were anything to go by. At first she'd just been in denial of her feelings, wanting the truth that had been staring her straight in the face to be a lie, a misconception of her Saiyan emotions, but now she couldn't even pretend she wasn't head over heels for Videl. She couldn't fake not wanting her with every fiber of her being. She couldn't ignore the way not just her Saiyan side but her human side reacted to the very presence of Videl, her nearness driving her crazy.

So she'd had to accept the fact that she wanted her, but she did nothing because not even Vegeta could beat courage into her. There had been just too much to risk, and she hadn't been ready for that kind of change. The kind of change that defined lives. The kind of change that effected not just you, but everyone around you. She hadn't been ready before, and she still wasn't convinced she was ready now. But none of that mattered because Videl was here, pressed tightly against her wanting her like she'd only dreamed. Quite frankly, she wasn't sure this was even real. For the first time in her whole life, she wasn't sure if she could trust her senses. The senses that felt almost overloaded with the sensory detail that was Videl. Every smell, touch, taste, sound and sight was of the girl she couldn't get of her mind, and she was lost.

She was thrown through a loop with Videl here practically raping her mouth, her hands wandering her body, tugging at the hem of her blouse. She'd lost the ability to think long ago, to concentrate on anything other than the sensation that was Videl would've been more than she was capable of in that moment. So she let instinct take control. After all, it was far more equipped to handle a situation like this, to handle the harsh beating of her heart, the heat pulsing through her veins.

She bent down more, leaning as far into the kiss as physically possible, her body shivering with anticipation as nimble fingers made quick work of the buttons of her blouse. She wasn't sure how Videl managed to undo each fastener with such ease, but she didn't dwell on it. How could she when those same fingers trailed the length of newly exposed skin, forcing a throaty moan from between her lips. Small hands traced the hard expanse of her stomach, sharp nails digging into soft flesh coaxing another low moan from her throat. Gohanna protested with a soft growl when she felt Videl pull back from the kiss, unhappy at the sudden loss of contact. However the loss was soon forgotten as soft lips nipped at her chin, teeth biting as they roughly trailed down her throat, leaving little red marks behind in its wake. She growled low at the sensation overload letting her own hands trail the edge of trim hips, fingers finding the exposed skin of her waist.

Videl roughly pushed her blouse from her shoulders, running her hot tongue down the expanse of her collarbone, teeth grazing the skin as her hands found their way to her cloth covered breasts. Gohanna's pulse quickened as a loud moan escaped an aching jaw, the feel of lithe hands kneaded her chest, and a hot mouth sucking and kissing the exposed flesh between the valley of her breasts too much to handle.

A barely repressed groan, throaty and low fell from Videl's preoccupied lips sending a shiver down her spine as she dug her nails deeper into the bare skin of Videl's waist. Her hands traveling higher as she succumb to her desire to be closer to Videl to taste her to meld their bodies together and sink into the flesh pressed against her. Throwing her head back she allowed Videl better access to her chest. A needy hand left its perch across her breast as it grasp at her hip, roughly pushing up her skirt and encircling her thigh, rising her leg up high to hook it around her trim waist only to bring them impossibly close.

Gohanna hastily pulled her hands from her waist as she moaned loudly at the feel of the narrow edge of Videl's hips pressed hard against her center, her hands firmly pulling Videl's head up to meet her mouth in a hot passionate kiss. Tongues battling for dominance, Gohanna groaned into the kiss at the feel of Videl grinding her hips into her over and over again as one of her hands press hard on her chest, pinching and circling the painfully erect nipples. Her blood thickened at the feel of a thumb running circles along her thigh, finger trailing higher and higher under her skirt until she could feel fingertips travel across her ass.

Her senses were being bombarded by sensation causing her to emit sounds she hadn't been aware she could make as Videl pushed her hard against the wall, breaking the heated kiss momentarily in the process. Taking advantage of the situation, Gohanna descended upon the pale neck below her, teeth nipping at the soft expanse as hands got lost within long dark locks. Tracing the long expanse of her exposed throat with aching k-9's her heart pounded. Thick blood rushed to her face as her mouth hovered at the junction between her throat and shoulder, pulse quickening at the sound of an encouraging moan as she pressed lightly against soft flesh, biting lightly. A lithe hand snaked across her skin and found the clasp of her bra, a simple clasps the only thing keeping the material in place. One flick and it would be gone, left completely bare to the smaller girl currently pinning her to the wall. Heat flushed her skin as she waiting in anticipation. Unfortunately, just as nimble fingers reached the ever waiting clasp, the bell rang. The reaction was immediate. It was as if a spell had been broken, a haze had been lifted. And they flew apart.

Videl fixed her shirt while Son searched for her previously discarded blouse before putting it on, buttoning it back up in the process. Stepping back, Videl was moments away from opening the door when she felt a pull at her waist. Glancing down she saw a brown furry appendage wrapped around her, one end connected to the girl she'd just ravished while the other end disappeared within the tight confines of her black biker shorts.

"I guess you really were telling the truth about you not being completely human," she commented, finally believing the explanation given in that particularly bizarre conversation they'd shared while training. For some unexplainable reason, she felt plagued with the urge to touch it, to run her fingers through the fur and pet it. 'Shake it off Videl,' she chastised herself, unwilling to fall prey to her own desires a second time in one day.

"You're not like totally freaked out by that?" Son asked, that hopelessly clueless look plastered to her face as she finished fixing her clothes, blouse back in place and skirt returned to the decent level it needed to be in order to properly cover her.

"Why should I be?" she sneered, quickly falling back on her safety net for stressful situations. "Although if you could remove it from my waist now rather than later, I'd be most appreciative. Wouldn't want to be late to class now would I."

"Oh, my bad," Son replied that clueless expression still plastered to her face as she unwound the appendage from Videl's waist. No longer restricted, Videl made her way towards the door. She had no intention of staying in this supply closet with Son any longer than she had to. "Videl wait," Son called after her, momentarily stopping her from opening the door. "What just happened?"

Ignoring the question, Videl opened the door, moving down the hall and towards the lab room that held Advanced Physics silently wishing she didn't have the next several classes with the girl she'd just made out with. 'I haven't the slightest idea,' she thought to herself before she heard the long strides of Son's quick gait behind her. Again, it didn't look like Son was going to leave her alone and she wasn't exactly sure if she would give an answer. But with a sigh she spoke. "What do you think just happened?" She'd meant for it to come out as a sarcastic, snarky reply, but instead it held the light quiver of her own insecurities within it, lacking the enthusiasm that would make it a normal brush off. She'd let her guard down, let her control slip and now their whole world had changed. There was no way they could go back to how they had been before the supply closet. But for some reason she wasn't entirely sure she wanted it to go back.

'What are we supposed to do now?' Gohanna wondered as she followed after the girl she'd just spent that last ten minutes making out with in a supply closet of all places. She'd wanted to kiss Videl for so long and now that it had happened she wasn't sure if she'd ever get to do it again. It was crazy, truly crazy. 'You'd think that something like this would mean something,' she thought as she found her seat in Advanced Physics. 'At least Mr. Negama's bound to give a riveting lecture today,' she consoled herself as she tuned into his lecture over quantum mechanics.

AN: Okay, I hoped you like that, and I do know that it's a bit confusing at the end but I didn't want to use their names over and over again. I know that was way too short for the wait but I promise more soon, not next day soon, but sooner then the last update lapse. Truth be told, the interlude is simply my way to set things up, it really isn't all that important, but I can't just skip it so bare with me. Anyway like every other fanfic writer, Read & Review!
