Austin's view
"Okay, this is our training spot. Basically, no humans come out here, some werewolves do," Damon pauses, "okay, we'll save that for lesson two," he held up two fingers.
"Okay, so first of all lets do vamp speed," Elena says running around the other three of us using the speed. Ally's mouth dropped slightly, "it's simple really, I promise." She says with a reassuring smile, "just start to run and then try to run faster."
"Okay, uh," Ally says getting into a running persition.
I start to laugh, she stands up straight again, "what?" She asks.
I smile, "nothing, I've just never seen you run before, strange to think the first time I will you will be running with vamp speed." She laughs slightly before turning her attention back to trying to run.
"Okay?" Damon says, she nods, "one, two- and she's off," he says as she speeds off, "I better go bring her back, we don't want her getting lost around here, full moon tonight," Elena nods and he speeds off.
After a few moments I break the silence. "Have you spoken to Stefan, or Matt?"
"The first time I have seen Stefan since you and Ally getting together was this morning," she says, "and Matt is working today." She looks at me, "hey, don't be so hard on yourself. Stefan just thinks that everyone will always pick someone over him."
"He hasn't even talked to Ally before," I say.
"Yeah, that's just what he's like though. When I had to pick between him and Damon, originally I picked him, then I got changed into a vampire and my emotions were heightened, my emotions about everything, about everyone, but him."
"So basically before you were a vampire you were denying your love for Damon?" I ask, she gives a small smile.
"Pretty much. And then of course there's Caroline, he convinced himself that she loved him, but she's still with Tyler even though Stefan is single, he thinks she chose Tyler over him. When really we can all see that she loves Klaus."
"Klaus?"
"Original hybrid. Long story. He's bound to join us at some point." She rolls her eyes. "So then when you and Ally got together he convince himself that she picked you over him." I nod.
"Why can't he drink human blood?"
"Well, he doesn't know how to control himself when he does. They use to call him the ripper. He would drain them of blood and then rip them limb from limb."
"Is Ally going to be able to control herself?" I ask, slightly worried.
"Yeah, don't worry, we would know by now if she couldn't. She's around you all the time and hasn't drank from you yet, that proves it. But we're going to train her to be able to drink from humans and not kill them."
After a pause I say, "you can use me. I trust her not to kill me, plus I trust you and Damon will drag her off me if she tries."
"You sure?"
"Yeah." She nods, and we hear a slight scream. "Come on, she grabs my hand and we vamp speed off.
"Ally, how did you get down there?" Damon is saying as we join them.
"I was just running and I tried to stop but I ended up in this hole." She says back.
"Well, we can use this to teach you how to jump," Damon says, Elena nods and I just look to see looking right back up at me. "Okay, just push of the ground with all your strength."
She nods and next thing I know she's standing next to me smiling. "I did it!" She says hugging me.
"Okay, Austin, have you drank any off that water yet?" Damon asks I shake my head, "great, we can teach her to compel using you. Okay all, just put all your emotions into the words you say."
"I don't want to compel him though," she says.
"It's fine, just compel him to sit down, or do jumping jacks or something."
She nods her head nervously, "you will do ten jumping jacks then kiss me," she says.
My mind goes blank, I just start doing jumping jacks. After a few seconds I kiss her then pull away.
Suddenly I'm back and aware of what's going on.
"It worked?" She asks.
"Yep well done." Elena says to her. "Next, feeding on humans, Austin is going to be our human."
"What? No I can't feed on him, what if I can't stop?" She starts to panic.
"Alls, it's fine, I trust you, besides Damon and Elena won't let you kill me." She looks me in the eyes and nods.
"So, first you compel him to stay still and not to scream. Though, you don't really need to do that now since this is Austin so we'll skip to the tasty bit. Put your mouth by his neck, and then bite." He says.
Hesitantly, she does so. It's a strange feeling, someone drinking your blood, but it's amazing. My eyes close out of pleasure as she pushes me up against a tree.
Sadly, as soon as I felt how amazing it was it stopped, I opened my eyes to All's worried face.
"Oh my gosh! You're still alive, I was worried I took to much," she said hugging me again, I smile.
"That was good Ally," Elena says, "you drank for about thirty seconds, which isn't long, it shows you have control. I think you're all set with the vamp stuff." Ally smiles, great.
"Oh one last thing, your blood heals humans. Bite your wrist, and then place it in Austin's mouth. Austin, drink her blood." I look to him confused for a minute before doing as told.
Tastes amazing, is all that runs through my mind.
"Okay, great. See he's healed. Now no killing him within the next twenty four hours." Damon says as I wipe my mouth.
"Why?" I ask.
"Because if you die with vampire blood in your system you'll become one." I nod.
"Okay, do you want to go back to the house, or-" Elena starts before Damon interrupts.
"Caroline and Katherine are trying to get Stefan to see sense again. That's not a sight you want to see." Elena nods.
"The Grill then?" We all nod and Ally grabs my hand as we vamp spend off.
Katherine's View
"Oh Stefan, heartbroken over a girl all over again. Can't you see that you would be so much happier with me?" I say walking around him as he is tied to a chair.
"Katherine, now is not the time to try and get him to love you. You can't force yourself to love someone!"
"You're forcing yourself to love Tyler aren't you?" Stefan asks Caroline, finally coming out of his silence.
"What the hell Stefan!" She says crossing her arms. I sit down on the couch, I do love a bit of entertainment.
"Well, we can all see you love Klaus, and I know you love me."
"I don't love you Stefan, you're a friend! And stay out of my business with Klaus!"
"Like you're staying out of my business? Face it Caroline, you're always in everyone else's business."
"You know what Stefan? I came here to help you, that doesn't mean I have to stay."
I sigh, "okay, clam down little ones." I say getting up and standing by Caroline. "Now Stefan, you look annoyed, I'm going to take that as an emotion. Meaning that little switch of yours my not be turned off. Now how about you agree to stop drinking human blood so you aren't ripping people to shreds, and me and you go upstairs for alone time?"
Caroline scoffs, "you're disgusting," I glare at her.
Austin's View
"We'll be back now," Ally says as her and Elena stand up.
I turn to Damon when they are out of ear shot, or vampire ear shot.
"Ally and I were talking last night," I say, Damon pulls a fake shocked face with a hand over his mouth.
"A couple, talking?" He says, I give him a look and he realizes I'm serious, "continue."
I nod, "she wants me to turn into a vampire," he raises her eye brows.
"Do you want to?" He asks.
"I, I don't know." I say honestly, "I use to imagine growing old and having children, even gran-children, all with Ally. Now she's a vampire I can't have that, and I don't want it with anyone else.
"If we tell her about the cure, maybe she will want it," Damon suggests.
"That had crossed my mind," I say, "but after seeing her today, I've never seen her happier." Damon gives me a small smile.
"So you want to do it then?" He asks.
I nod, "I'd do anything for her, even die. It's just convenient that I'll come back to life after," I say with a slight laugh, Damon joins me.
