A/N: Ok, sorry I was mean and left you hanging like I did and didn't show you exactly what you wanted to see… but not really. LOL. However, in this chapter, you will get what you have been waiting for. Enjoy minna!
PS… if you haven't seen it, I have posted a new PoT story entitled No, Not a Chance. It is about what happens when Jackal is finally pushed to his limits and he says no.
Chapter 16 – Revenge
The week was going swimmingly for the two sadists. Yukimura was able to torture his friends a little by giving them an ungodly number of laps and watching them struggle to finish them. Fuji just had to smile at Kikumaru or Inui and both of them would run the other way; yes, even the sadist's best friend was scared of what was to come.
Thursday night, the two plotting teens reviewed their plans with everyone over the phone. Everything would start to be set into motion the next day and they didn't want anything to go awry.
"Saa I will get Tezuka's phone and send the message tomorrow before practice," Fuji stated.
Smiling, his accomplice told him, "Just make sure no one talks to him about the message or that would put a kink in our plans."
The tensai opened his blue eyes wide and the grin that appeared on his face would have made anyone shudder and think twice about approaching him, "Oh don't worry about that. They wouldn't dare talk to Tezuka right now."
"What did you do alienate him?"
Fuji chuckled, "Let's just say that after what happened, they are giving him a wide berth and they know if they approach him, I will not be happy."
"Excellent. Currently, everyone is staying clear of Genichiro as well, but I believe it is more about the fact they don't want to be on the receiving end of a torundoru."
"I honestly can't blame them because that is something I have heard about and never want to experience."
"You know, I believe everyone on our team has experienced one except me."
"That is probably because you are the buchou and he doesn't think it would be right. If he did, he might assign himself 1000 laps as punishment."
"I think you might be right," Yukimura chortled.
They finished their discussion about their plans and got off the phone. Soon everything would be in place and set into motion. No one was going to escape this one… well maybe Yuuta because Fuji still believed he was coerced. The bluenette wasn't so sure, but he believed if Yuuta got caught in the net, the Seigaku sadist would come after him and that gave him a small sliver of fear… not that he would admit that to anyone.
Friday came and the day seemed to drag by for Fuji. There was a time and place for everything, he wanted the time to move at a more fast pace. After the bell to signal the end of last period rang, the tensai made his way to Tezuka's class and found the former buchou talking to his sensei. Waiting patiently, he noticed the item he wanted to borrow lying in the open school bag and grabbed it immediately sending off his message to everyone involved. He was still in the middle of sending when he was busted by the owner of the phone (come on there were a lot of people involved. It takes time to type in all those names).
"Fuji, what are you doing?" Tezuka questioned curiously. Something told him he didn't want to know, but since it was his phone, he felt like he needed to ask.
"Saa, nothing," Fuji responded not looking up from his task, "Ne can you carry my bag? I have to finish sending this message."
"Why are you using my phone?" The bespectacled teen grabbed the other's bag and his own and together he and the tensai walked towards the tennis club room.
Looking up, the tensai blinked for a moment, his smile increasing, "I only needed to send a message to Yuuta to ask him if he would like to meet for dinner tonight. My battery died." He handed the phone back to the owner looking as innocent as the day he was born (which we all know is a farce because this is Fuji).
Unable to resist the need to check, Tezuka opened his phone and looked through the messages. Sure enough here was a message for Yuuta, but nothing else. Had it really been just that? He knew there was something else going on, but decided if he didn't know what was going on, he could claim ignorance later, "Let's just go."
As they made their way to the club house, teens all over the Tokyo area received a message on their phones from one Tezuka Kunimitsu, "We need to talk about Fuji and Yukimura. Do not reply to this message, Fuji has been checking my phone and Yukimura has been watching Sanada like a hawk. Meet in front of Tokyo Tower tomorrow at 9:00am. Sanada and I have a plan." A collective sigh of relief was breathed by all of them and they looked forward to what the two stoic teens come up with in order to rescue them from the clutches of two sadists. Oh if they only knew the danger they were truly in and what plans were actually going to be unleashed… they would be screaming in horror rather than breathing easier.
That night, the two data specialists discussed this latest message. Yanagi muttered, "There is a 53.2% chance that this is a trap and we will walk straight into it."
"Correct, but there is also the 46.8% that it was a legitimate message and if they are willing to help, we need to risk it," Inui replied.
"Agreed. We will meet in front of Tokyo Tower. The others will be with me."
"I have confirmation from Eiji and Yamato that they will be in attendance. I have not been able to reach Yuuta, but Atobe stated that his team will be there as well."
"I will see you then, Sadaharu," Yanagi stated before hanging up the phone. They both just hoped tomorrow fell into the 46.8% rather than the other.
Saturday morning finally arrived. Yukimura had come in the night before and stayed at Fuji's house so that he would not be seen by anyone on the Rikkai Dai team that would be attending the meeting.
Yumiko had agreed to drive her brother and his blue haired friend around so that they could observe their prey… uh friends, while they sent a limo to pick up the others, knowing that if it was anything less, Atobe might not get in. Now to make sure their friends (victims) did not suspect anything, they had managed to gain Yuuta's assistance. He would be sitting in the back and get out of the car when it arrived at Tokyo Tower. Once he was out, he would flip the child protective lock on that one door (the others would already be activated), and allow everyone else to get in, however, he would shut the door after the last person entered and get into the front seat where he would deliver a message from the two sadists… and that is exactly how it all happened. They were trapped with no way to get out of the car except to break the windows, but depending on the glass, that might not work; and what would they break them with?
Yuuta rolled down the privacy screen, where a sheet of glass still separated them (for his protection) and turned on the speaker to read the message his brother and Yukimura wanted him to convey on their behalf, "Before I read this, I just want to say… I am really sorry about this everyone. Really sorry." He cleared his throat and began reading, "This is from aniki and Yukimura… By now you have probably realized that you were caught in the spider's web. It will do you no good to struggle or fight because the more you do, the worse it will be. Inui, Yanagi, as you can see our meeting this afternoon has been cancelled. We are so happy everyone could make it today and that we are not missing anyone. If you really believed we would let what happened pass, you are sorely mistaken and don't know us very well. Snicker, snicker, snicker."
"Oi Yuuta, what is with the snickers?" Gakuto inquired irritated that he had fallen for something so simple… well at least he wasn't the only one, they were all trapped.
Shaking his head, Yuuta rolled his eyes and hung his head, "That is what's written here. I am supposed to read it word for word."
"Ahn, Ore-sama thinks it would be in your best interest to release us now," Atobe demanded.
"No. If it comes down to facing you or my brother, I would rather deal with what you have to dish out than him," the youngest Fuji declared.
Atobe didn't like to be told no and ordered Kabaji to force the doors open, but it didn't work, "Ore-sama demands you release us this minute."
"Yuuta, you don't want to hand us over to them, do you? Nya," Kikumaru whimpered giving his best friend's younger brother the biggest puppy dog eyes in an attempt to sway him.
Still focusing on the paper and not on the players, Yuuta missed the expression on the redhead's face. He just couldn't look at them right now and he continued, "Ahem, the glass is bullet proof and the doors are reinforced, so Atobe, ordering Kabaji to set you free will not work. You will just have to go along for the ride… much like you did when you agreed to help Inui and Yanagi. If you try to call someone, it won't work. There is a scrambler in the limo that will prevent cell phones from working. This car will take you to an undisclosed location where you will meet your ultimate fate… that is all. We hope you enjoy the ride, it might be your last one… or maybe not. Giggle, giggle, giggle." Once he was done reading the message, he raised the privacy screen again and watched the road ahead. He can't believe he agreed to help those to trap the others. What was he thinking? Oh yah, he was thinking living was a good idea and cringed when he heard shouting, screaming, and crying coming from the back. The sounds were muffled, but they weren't completely blocked.
"I can't really blame him for helping. There was a 74.8% probability that they would recruit him successfully," Inui pushed up his glasses.
Yanagi shook his head, "I have it closer to 76.6%"
Inui really hated when his friend corrected his percentages, but he would deal with that later. Right now they needed to figure out an escape plan as everyone started to panic around him. Kikumaru was crying, Gakuto has passed out, Oshitari pushed up his glasses shaking his head as he looked a little scared and distraught, Choutarou was clinging to Shishido who was clinging in return but would later say he was just comforting his kohai, and on and on it went. Everyone was in an uproar and scared for their lives. Of course the last line of the message didn't help matters. "Renji, what do you think our chances of escape are?"
"I have them as less than 1%," Yanagi responded as he furiously wrote down the reactions of everyone in his data notebook. He looked up to see his friend doing the same. If nothing else, the sadists were providing a veritable plethora of data for them.
"I agree," Inui responded still scribbling furiously. It also meant the best chance of survival would be to just go along with what Fuji and Yukimura had up their sleeves… and in the mean time they would gather all the information they could. It was amazing how people would react when put in a situation.
Atobe was still telling Kabaji to break down the door, even though it wasn't working. Marui had a firm grip on his double partners forearm and was chewing his gum like it would make the difference between life and death… not bubbles again. Jackal's arm was actually turning white, which was saying something considering his normally tanned skin. He looked like he was about to lose it at any moment. Hiyoshi was muttering something about gekokujo someone and it sounded oddly like Atobe instead of Fuji or Yukimura. All in all there was pandemonium in the limo.
Now, following closely behind the limo, was another car driven by Fuji Yumiko. When her brother had filled her in on what happened, she couldn't help but consult her cards. He was going to get the better of the others and she decided to help him enact his plans. As she looked into the rearview mirror though, she shook her head. The two sadists were looking at a monitor and the expression of pure enjoyment was on their faces. The limo had been rigged with cameras and microphones so that Fuji and Yukimura could hear and see everything. According to them, it would be as much fun if they couldn't see it for themselves, and Atobe wasn't the only one who could get his hands on electronics and various other items; and in addition to watching it everything was being recorded for future enjoyment… or blackmail, whichever they decided to use it as.
As the two sadists continued to watch the video feed their amusement grew, and as their amusement grew, they couldn't wait to watch the next part of their plan unfold… which would be happening in just a few minutes since they were nearing their destination. The anticipation was almost unbearable.
The limo pulled to a stop and as soon as the headlights were killed, it was pitch black. The back door swung open, but none of the players inside could see a thing and then suddenly a trail lit up on the floor and it was reminiscent of the aisles at a movie theatre. A voice came over the speaker system and everyone recognized the Rikkai Dai buchou's voice, "You can't stay in the limo. We have instructed our helpers that should you not exit, they are allowed to use force and get you out by any means necessary." It was the "by any means necessary" that frightened everyone the most because they weren't exactly sure what these two were capable of, and thus all of the captivated tennis players exited the vehicle and followed the lighted path. They really had no choice in the matter.
As they followed the arrows, they stopped when the lights on the floor spelled "stop", but Atobe was having none of that, "Ahn, why would you stop. Ore-sama instructs you to move forward."
"It says stop you baka buchou," Shishido snapped still holding onto his doubles partner.
Pushing his way to the front, he couldn't believe the attitude of these plebeians. He had allowed them to go first in case something untoward happened to the front, but he also refused to be last because he had seen enough horror movies to know the people dead last are easily picked off. So he placed himself firmly in the middle of everyone, however, he was tired of bending to the will of two unseen sadists and walked forward past the stop sign and then… a loud clank could be heard as well as Atobe screaming, "Ow, they broke Ore-sama's beautiful nose!" He ran right into a set of bars and unfortunately for him, he hit the bar dead on instead of the small space next to it.
Before anyone could say anything, there was the sound of metal against metal as the something slammed shut. The people in the back whipped around and felt their way towards where they came from, no one wanted to make the same mistake Atobe made, and felt a set of bars. They were locked in what felt like prison or a cage; and they wouldn't put either one past their two adversaries.
Lights suddenly flipped on and the players had to cover their eyes from the brightness since they had been wandering around in the darkness for about twenty minutes. Hearing applause, once their eyes adjusted, one by one they lowered their arms and found the both Yukimura and Fuji grinning widely at them. Next to them were two people that didn't look familiar and if anything looked like they were part of the Yakuza or something sinister.
"I believe this group are exactly what you are looking for," the bluenette spoke, his smile growing as the look of terror grew on the tennis players faces.
Nodding, the taller man spoke in a short clipped voice, "Hai!"
"Well, it appears we can strike a deal then," Fuji announced snickering. He really was having too much fun.
The taller man answered, "Your price is fair and we accept." Handing a large pouch to the two sadists he laughed maniacally, "You boys ready to have some fun?"
"Fuji, Yukimura, you cannot sell us into slave trade or anything else. People will look for us," Oshitari tried to reason with the two sadists.
Yukimura glanced at Fuji and then back at the captives in the cage, "But I think we just did." He laughed with his partner as they left the others behind.
The tennis players sweat dropped. Those two really left them and sold them for… for what? They weren't sure, but as much as they did to the two sadists and the two stoic teens, no one in the imprisoned group felt like they deserved this type of punishment. How were they ever going to get out of this? Gakuto fainted again and this time Kikumaru joined him. Inui's pencil hovered over his notebook, but he wasn't writing. Atobe was bemoaning the fate of his nose, while Choutarou was asking Shishido how they were going to get out. Jirou… well he was doing his normal thing of taking a nap. Jackal was frozen like a statue, and Marui had blown a bubble that landed all over his face, but he did nothing to clean up the mess frozen as he was. Each player was completely freaked out and terrified of what Fuji and Yukimura had gotten them into. They had been sold into slavery and would not be taken away from their beloved Japan, never to see their families again (or at least that is what they believed).
The lights went out and the players were left alone to allow their fear and worry to increase. At this point they were a psychological mess and the tensai and bluenette continued to watch their friends' captivity.
About an hour of sitting in the dark and crying (yes, many started to cry and some screamed that they wanted their mommy), when the lights once again came back on and the two men Fuji and Yukimura had done business with returned. The taller one must have been the spokesman because the shorter one never uttered a sound, "Are you ready? It's time for your debut!" He and the shorter man peeled off their fake beards and mustaches and pulled off the wigs they were wearing to reveal two different people.
All of the players looked at the two men and there was something familiar about them, but they couldn't quite place it, and then Atobe snapped, "You're Penn and Tewer." (The poor teen's nose… sigh, good thing he probably has access to a good plastic surgeon).
"That's right. You were volunteered by your gracious friends to be our assistants in our magic act for the children's hospital," Penn chortled, "When they said you would be more than willing to help and explained the situation, we couldn't help but go along with the plan. We always did love a good prank… or revenge plot."
Teller nodded vigorously in agreement. Still he made no sound.
"Hey did you really lock them in a room and wouldn't let them out, and one of them had a concussion?" Penn questioned. The groaning from the captives was answer enough and he guffawed. He had to admit that the thought of psychologically messing with the group was actually a really good idea and he was sure they got some wonderful footage of the whining tennis players. Shaking his head, he explained exactly what their roles were and what they would have to do, "That's it. After that according to Fuji and Yukimura you are free to go when the show is over."
It wasn't like they had much of a choice and it was for a good cause, so they didn't want to say no to the magicians. Plus with the way Teller was looking at them, they would feel guilty if they walked away now.
The show went off without a hitch and the children of the hospital were excited to see the large group of Japanese teens that were participating in the show. Overjoyed as they watched the tricks and magic the two magicians performed for their enjoyment, the kids applauded loudly and laughed when Teller did something funny or when one of the magicians played a practical joke on one of the teens. Once it was over, the applause was deafening and true to their word, the captives were released from their punishment, free to go on their merry way.
As they all climbed into Atobe's limo, the heir was brooding and finally declared, "We nee to get tem…" He was unable to finish his sentence.
Glaring at the Hyotei buchou, everyone yelled at the same time, "NO!" And that was the end of that.
Fuji and Yukimura stayed for the show and then went backstage to graciously thank the two magicians for their help. The reaction of their friends throughout the day was more than a little enjoyable and would bring them amusement for a long time to come. They were also pretty sure the others have learned never to interfere or mess with a sadist.
