Chapter Two – Help!
Bennett Household, Mystic Falls, VA 11:18 PM (Eastern Time) 6 January 2011
Bonnie slammed the door to her room, trying to suppress the need to scream for once again getting caught up in vampire business. If it wasn't the Salvatores, it was those damn Mikaelson siblings that wanted something from her, and she had to drop anything to help them– whether she liked it or not. She felt like some "Witch-Slave", and she was sick and tired of that feeling of not being free to do as she wanted.
"Bonnie, are you okay?" Bonnie's mom, Abby, carefully entered the room. "I heard when you slammed the door, so I wanted to check up on you. What's going on?"
"I am sick and tired of being everyone's 'go-to witch'. I barely even see Caroline and Elena anymore; they only show up when they're in trouble, or more like when Stefan or Damon are, and if it's not them, it's Klaus and his damn siblings. What I really need is a way out of this mess, to feel free and in control again." Bonnie sighed and impulsively slammed her fist into the wall, barely leaving a mark. "Mom, I could use some help to get there, but I don't know anyone as powerful that they could be a threat to even the Originals."
"I think I remember reading somewhere about a very powerful witch–" Abby suddenly sped away and returned with an old, large book that Bonnie recognized as her Grams grimoire. "Hmmm, I think it should be here somewhere… Ah, here it is– Jessica, a witch that Grams trained to help gain control over her magic. It says that she and her sister hunt vampires… Sounds like the one we're looking for."
"Yeah, but how are we supposed to find her? It's not like we have anything to do a Location Spell."
"Well, there is always the option of asking the Spirits for help."
Bonnie makes a frustrating growl to Abby's respond. Contacting the spirits was something she did are rarely as she could, especially with her experimenting with Expression and dark magic. Knowing her grams and how much she hated dark magic, she would be very angry with Bonnie and not willing to help. But at the moment, it was all she had.
"I guess that you're right, mom. I'll go get the–", Is all Bonnie gets to say before Abby sped out and returned with candles, matches and witch hazel, all the things Bonnie was just about to ask her for. "Thanks, Mom. You wanna stay?"
Abby sat down on a chair not far from her daughter, as Bonnie set the candles, burned the herbs and began chanting the spell. It didn't even take ten seconds before Emily Bennett appeared before her.
"Emily", Bonnie greeted icily.
"Bonnie", Emily nodded briskly, "I'm surprised that you've got the nerves to seek our help. We know what it is you're looking for, but to get our help there are conditions... do you still want our help?"
"Just cut the BS and tell me your freaking conditions."
"You will stop this foolish use of dark magic and go back to serving nature, as it is your sworn duty as a witch."
Great, so all she had to do to stop being controlled by vampires was to get back to being controlled by witches. This had better work or she would be very angry.
"Okay, I'll do what you ask. Now, tell me what I want to know."
Emily's calm face turned into a grin, and suddenly, the flames of the candles became much bigger, and in an instant, Emily was gone.
"Emily!" Bonnie yelled. That was it, the last time she was going to work with the spirits!

Jessica Evans was sleeping on the couch at her sister-in-law, Stephanie's house. She was dreaming about that time when she was 7 years old and she, Grant (her big brother), Beth (her baby sisters) and her parents went to Orlando, Florida and Disneyland. It was the last time all of them were on holiday together as well as Jessica's favorite memory, since it was before the family got involved with vampires and vampire hunting.
Suddenly, all the people were gone, and a woman was standing before her. Jessica smiles when she realized that it was her ancestor, Emily Bennett.
"Hello, Jessica."
"Hello, Emily. You should know that you're ruining a perfectly good dream. This had better be good!"
"I need your help." Jessica rolled her eyes, typical. "Do you remember Mystic Falls?" Jessica nodded, because who hadn't heard of the "Vampire Mecca" called Mystic Falls, where it all began; the place where the first vampires were turned. "The Originals are back, and they're causing problems for our kin."
Seeing her implication, Jessica held up her hand, interrupting Emily.
"Are you trying to tell me that you want me to go and hunt down The Originals, a family of immortal beings, where one of them is a Vampire-Werewolf Hybrid that absolutely can't be killed?" Jessica gave Emily a big grin and a short chuckle. "Sounds like a challenge, and you know how much I love a challenge."
"I'm grateful for your help," Emily bowed her head to Jessica, "and I'm in your debt… again."
Jessica immediately struck her eyes open and sat up on the couch. It took her a few seconds to remember the dream and where she was.
"Beth!" Jessica yelled, as she got up and walked over to the other room where Beth was laying, half awake and moving slightly. "Bethany Evans, get your sorry ass out of bed, we need to start packing and please hurry up. I want to be on the road within the next hour."
"Were we going?" Beth said with a low grunts, but didn't open her eyes.
"Virginia."
"Virginia? What could possibly be in Virginia that's so important that we have leave in the freaking middle of the night?" Beth said and turned over.
"Vampires, sis, vampires, or more specifically, the Originals." Jessica knew that would get Beth's attention, since she's easily got bored and would start seeking for something exciting; last time it was Bungee Jumping in the Grand Canyon. "Is this enough for you to get up voluntarily, or do I have to actually kick you out of that bed?"
Jessica started packing all their belongings: three sports bags with clothes and two more with all the ingredients (for spells), the Evans family grimoire and two laptops with scanned copies of a lot of other grimoires. It wasn't much, but mostly it that was all they needed.
"But, Jess, what about visiting Grant's grave tomorrow? We promised William to go visit Grant's grave tomorrow." Beth protested, then sighed and got out of bed. "But I guess that the best way to honor our brother's memory is to kill some of those filthy beings that killed him."
Beth started going through one of the bags with clothes and picked up a pair of black jeans.
"Hey! Don't you dare use my last and favorite pair of jeans! Pick something else, or I'll give you bunny-teeth for a week." If anything, Jessica didn't like to share her clothes.
"Fine!" Beth said and gave the jeans to her sister. "Have you seen my red dress? I can't find it:"
"You mean your light-red one? I borrowed it for that Blind Date you forced on me two days ago. I cleaned it, so it should be hanging out to dry, somewhere…"
"Jess! I can't borrow your precious jeans, but you go take my dress without even asking?" Beth's angry look made Jessica roll her eyes.
"Sorry. How about I let you borrow those black leather-boots you like. Will that make you stop arguing about this and take the bags out to the car?" Beth nodded enthusiastically, since she loved those shoes. "Now, let's get started. I want to be in Virginia before dinner-time tomorrow, so we need to be on the road pretty soon."
"You're so bossy… but fine. Can I at least make a sandwich or two to eat in the car?"
"Beth, we ate dinner, like," Jessica checked her watch, "less than two hours ago. We'll get something on the way."
